I will get a photo on there one day....... I have sent you a message so just reply and with your address. Where are you in your cycle Kooky?

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:27

Have replied! Only on CD4. Going to try to GOF every other night when AF leaves and stop drinking. Will also monitor temp and EWCM. If no luck this month will do FF next cycle as have missed the start this time. Have bought some Starflower as someone mentioned that and thought it wouldn't do any harm!

lardybump · 13/06/2008 19:34

Kooky DP and I GOF every day for 3 cycles and nothing. THis month we used the OPK (these are the same as the ones I am going to send you). And we only GOF 3 days this month and I am pg!!!

Use them at 3 oclock every day as this is the best time (queen sorky told me and she is right). The opk give you a O if there is no LH in urine and thus you are not fertile. Then you get a when it detects LH once you have the you will OV about 24 to 36 hours later so GOF as much as you can for the next 48 hours. THen that is it for the month.

Hello ladies! I introduced myself about a week ago, disappeared for a while, come back and there's a new thread, and pages and pages of posts and .. .well, I just can't keep up!

I did a pregnancy test today, an early detector one, really stupid of me as I'm only on day 23. Obviously it was neg and feel like I've wasted all my money for such a stupid reason.

I've got the opportunity to have quite a big weekend though, and obv don't want to drink lots if I might be pg, so...

Cosmogirl · 13/06/2008 19:39

Evening all, lots of lovely baby names being discussed
We like April for a girl. It is the month we got married [awwwww]

Cosmogirl · 13/06/2008 19:40

On a completely unrelated topic - how HOT is Justin? Just watching the Madonna video. I swear since I came off that damn pill I am like a dog on heat

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:42

Thanks for the advice LB! I used the Clear Blue OPK last month, but think we peaked too early with the GOFing as managed a few in the run up to the and only one after. I was also using FMU which obviously wasn't quite right!

Hi CCB - I check in every day and struggle to keep up so don't worry! sorry for BFN, but you're right probably too ealry. try getting some cheapies from ebay as then you can test as much as you like! I got these

lardybump · 13/06/2008 19:42

Hi coco. I found out I was pg when I got back from holiday with DD and I had had a very boosy week...... Docter said it would and that as long as you dont do it once you know you are pg (ie when egg is attached and developing). Have a lovely weekend and enjoy yourself you can not live wiht what if's..

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:43

Cosmo, April is lovely!

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:45

CCB - I also was drinking and smokin when I realised AF was late. DD absolutely perfect so don't worry too much!

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:47

Did you guys see this?
How absolutely bloody disgusting.

kookykid · 13/06/2008 19:48

Right DH home and we've agreed to use the PC less in the evenings so I'm off. Have a good evening everyone!

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 19:55

Update on Ses' confusion.... (Sorry this is likely to be long)

Went for blood test at 8.30 this morning. Whilst there asked if they had the results from Wednesday's bloods and they said yes - it was 2055. Just to be clear, I asked what that meant and nurse said it meant I was pregnant. I said that I was still confused as I'd had my first BFP on 17th May which would mean that I would be about 7 weeks and the scan would have shown something. She then said "Well maybe it is retained product still then we'll have to wait and see what 2nd blood test shows"!!!!

She said this mornings results may be with them this afternoon so I phoned at about 4pm and she said that the levels had dropped and was therefore retained product and she'd talk to the registrar about what to do now and I'd get another phonecall either this afternoon or Monday. Within half an hour she phoned back and said she'd spoken to the registrar. The registrar wants me to go back and have another blood test on Monday but thinks it likely that I got pregnant again after mmc and have had another mmc and will need another ERPC next week.

Obviously not what we wanted to hear at all. Struggling to get my head around it all. Feeling pretty useless and really don't want to keep putting DH through all this. AAAAAaaaagggghhhhh!!!

lardybump · 13/06/2008 20:03

Oh ses how awful for you. I really feel for you.

lardybump · 13/06/2008 20:04

I am so sorry to do this but I have to go now as well.. I am sure that Kay will be along soon she finishes work at 8.

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 20:05

Thanks LB. Not really sure where to go from here. Maybe I go back on the wagon for a few months whilst we deal with all of this and I make sure my body gets back to normal.

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 20:06

Don't worry! Have a good evening!

lixanismapolium · 13/06/2008 20:14

So sorry ses - I cannot even begin to imagine how you're feeling. I know there's nothing I cn say that will make you feel better, but will be thinking of you.

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 20:18

Thanks Lix. Feeling a bit numb at the moment. DH has just called upstairs to say he's cooked dinner and so I'd better go and have some! Will log on again later. Sorry to bring a bit of a downer on this lucky thread but if you'll all still have me, I think I'll stick with you and hope some of the luck rubs off when we get round to ttc again.

kookykid · 13/06/2008 21:12

Just popped on again while DH is washing up.

Ses I am SO sorry about your results today. I'm sure you will have understandably got your hopes up and can imagine you will be feeling pretty devastated right now. Maybe it was just too soon and your body wasn't quite ready? Getting back on the wagon for a while may be just what you need. Please stay with us... I have found the people on this thread so supportive and friendly since I joined and hope it can do the same for you. You are not putting a downer on anything - it's all ups and downs for all of us who are ttc and sometimes it's just easier to discuss things on here than in RL.

I know it's not the done thing, but think it's OK just now...
(((hugs)))

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 21:19

Thanks Kooky.

I guess at least I know what's going on now. I think I'll get this week and potential ERPC out of the way and then do some poas to make sure HCG goes back to negative and then we'll see how we feel mentally, emotionally, etc.

On a lighter note I've just told DH about mumsnet and he asked if he could join in .

kookykid · 13/06/2008 21:28

Bless! Tell him he hasn't got what it takes... I.e. a fanjo and norks!! Seriously though, think there's a Dadsnet somewhere in cyberspace. (Actually have definitely seen posts by dads on here so why the hell not?)

I think what you said above sounds like good sense. There's no need to make any major decisions just now, probably good to let everything settle down and then start ttc afresh. It's a tough old business isn't it?

Right, am breaking our new golden rule, so off for a snuggle on the sofa and then bed.

Starshinetiger · 13/06/2008 22:44

Ses, am so sorry to hear your news. You are sounding remarkably rational and logical though. FWIW, I had to take a break for the last two cycles 'cos I had a painful lump in my breast - turns out just to be hormone related and have to follow up but been reassured nothing to worry about. The last two cycles have gone slowly, but I've just enjoyed everything I know I won't be able to enjoy when pregnant - wine, soft cheese, pate, etc. which doesn't compensate, but does help. At least it you wait one cycle after ERPC you'll know where you're at and it will make it easier for you monitoring things?
Also, there is a topic in the topic list called "Dadsnet", although of course Dad's are welcome to post anywhere on the site , but your DH might like that. On the other hand, you might not want to encourage him, or you'll be fighting over the computer

your way and glad you seem to have a lovely DH who is there with you through this.

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 22:49

Starshinetiger - thanks for your post. Had gathered that you'd had a break but thanks for filling me in a bit more. Reassuring to hear of others having "enforced breaks" and still sounding positive. Now you have some good news and can start ttc, I hope it happens soon for you. I am v lucky with my DH too. He really helps me keep things in perspective.

Ses15 · 13/06/2008 22:53

Off to try and get some sleep. Here's to another day.....
