Hi everyone,
I’m a bit early but I liked having people to chat to last cycle who were going through similar. It can feel isolating having nobody to talk to about it other than DH when it’s taking up your every thought.

CD5 for me today. Will start uploading LH strips to Premom from CD 10.

Going to try the ‘sperm meets egg’ method this month to see if a bit of structure helps.

sending everybody lots of luck!

Wondering if I can join? I need tww buddies because I absolutely hate this part.
Bit of background - I am on cycle 4 of TTC baby 3. I have two girls and I conceived first try with them both, so I have never had to wait before. It's horrible. I got mirena in after my second dd and it has totally messed my cycles. They are getting longer and longer. I'm waiting almost 8 weeks for a period these days. This time I finally ovulated on CD32 and I am now 1dpo. Hope you dont mind me jumping on this thread??

Andrasa · 17/10/2025 10:35

6dpo for me! I’m fully expecting a negative so won’t be disappointed, just glad it’s almost time I can test and find out and move on to the next.

8dpo today and had a dull lower back pain for two days, although it might have been because of dd as I've been struggling to put her to sleep the last few days and I had to walk around with her a lot 😂it also made me really stressed out this tww and the stress made me more stressed that I won't be able to conceive due to the stress😂wanted to test today, but I missed the opportunity for fmu so I'll try on the weekend
Felt so positive about this cycle until the last week or so because I've felt so tired due to sleeping badly 😞

I remember you saying of thinking of testing today. I think I’m 7dpo but not feeling positive about this cycle at all.

think I’ll test tomorrow morning anyways as I’m seeing my sisters Saturday night and put my mind at ease if I have a few drinks.

Of course we don’t mind. Hello 👋🏼

keeping fingers crossed for you. Sorry to hear about your cycles after baby 2.

how are you feeling about it?

I wanted to but forgot to from fmu and I think even if I was pregnant it wouldn't show up later during the day. I'll test tomorrow as well, fingers crossed we'll see something 🤞

Hi everyone - I have found my people! Currently 6dpo and having to sit on my hands to avoid testing too early and being disappointed! First cycle properly 'trying' with ovulation tests etc. I'm hoping to hold on until Tuesday when I'll be 10DPO but it's so hard!!!!!!

Welcome! Are you ttc your first? I think I'm also holding out with testing because with my dd I felt mild symptoms of implantation and until I feel it I'm afraid to test because I think it'll be negative 🙈

I’m 6dpo and admire your willpower! I’m just going to test tomorrow since I have about 100 cheap tests, and I know myself well enough to know I would get upset if it’s negative (which it will be at this stage. I just have no chill)

bellaflower · 17/10/2025 13:44

Hey @seesiseesowelcome! 7dpo here, and I am hating the waiting. I’m not feeling positive about this cycle so expecting a negative test tbh. I’m testing tomorrow as I’m planning on drinking, so rather have piece of mind it says negative (hopefully just for now!)

seesiseeso · 17/10/2025 14:34

TTC #2 but DC #1 is nearly 8 so can't even remember if I had any symptoms or anything first time so I think that is adding to the anxiety 😂 I know the chance of getting a BFP at 10dpo is slim but I think that's as long as I can physically wait 😂 I'll probably then test every day until either positive or period 😂 I did not think I would get this invested or stressed so quickly! 🙃

I have also bought 100 cheap tests so I will probably test tomorrow😂 and then sulk, I would like to think I have willpower but I know I don't 😂

Negative tomorrow doesn't mean negative forever so you still be in! but will give you the peace of mind to have a drink and relax bc it's vvvvvvv early!!

Andrasa · 17/10/2025 14:38

*wont get upset even

jw97 · 17/10/2025 17:13

First cycle trying for our first and it’s a BFN. trying not to be disappointed as I know it’s so common for it take a few cycles at least! It’s the not knowing when or if! 😖 fingers crossed for next month…

Any advice on ovulation tests? Recommended brands or does it not really matter? Totally new to me!!

Easy@home were the ones with the best reviews when I looked. They’ve worked well for me, and it’s nice you can buy a joint pack of ovulation and pregnancy tests.

I’m ttc #2, my daughter is 17 months old at moment. I keep saying to my husband, what were my early symptoms again as I can’t remember. I’ve had cramping today and yesterday, but I think it could be normal pms symptoms.

what cheap tests do you have? I’m spending a fortune at the moment in Boots.

my exact thoughts for testing tomorrow as if it’s negative I’ll feel calmer about drinking. I’ve kind of accepted it’s more than likely to be negative as it will only be 8 days.

I'm a fan of the clearblue advanced ones as they give you a lead up (tell you when oestrogen is rising, ahead of the LH peak) and then also show the LH peak. Also no need to interpret lines because it just gives you a smiley face!

Thank you. 11dpo, I tested at 10dpo and AF has now also arrived so definitely not the month! Probably a bit naive to expect much else but fingers crossed for next cycle🤞🏼

I use clearblue, but not the advanced ones. A little cheaper think and they just give you a postive (lh peak) or negative result, indicating up to 2 fertile days. I'm interested if anyone else uses them instead of the advanced, are the advanced significantly more helpful??

Clearblue are easy and no line reading needed, but they are expensive so if I need them longer than another cycle or 2 I will change to the cheaper ones!

Extra expensive for me his month as I'm on day 22 (maybe day 14 of testing) with no positive yet 🫠)

Joining :)
Predicted ovulation day is at the end of this month, this will be (hopefully) my second baby. First time round took 1 cycle which ended in miscarriage, then 5 further cycles.
We sort of tried last month but wasn’t really able to get the dates right due to being away with family. I still felt very disheartened it didn’t magically work, as you do

Totally get that feeling! Feels silly to have held much expectation for the first month but can’t help but be disappointed. It’s the waiting game that’s the worst 😖 fingers crossed for you
