Hi everyone, setting up a new months thread for those of us who already know we’re out for August. I’m going on to cycle 3. Hope this can continue to be a place where we can chat and support one another.

I honestly hate having irregular cycles so much it makes ttc so much harder💔 I’m currently CD 32 now and af can come any time up until 38 days it’s so draining!

This was yesterdays test I don’t see any point in testing again yet I still try and convince my self I might have a chance and to buy more tests even though i’d probably have a positive by now😢😢

Sorry for being so negative guys i’m just finding these past few recent cycles really hard after ttc for so long

hey lovely ladies, hope everyone’s ok. Took a few weeks off from the thread but I am just tracking ovulation right now. Going to have a read through all of your posts.

I wondered if anyone is familiar with ovulation tracking by temperature please? If so would you mind looking at my graph from my smart ring attached. Would this be consistent with ovulation? What does it tell you? My app isn’t very informative to be honest. I’m very confused as all of my ovulation tests have been negative - taken a few per day :(

just for a bit of background I suffer from anovulation due to PCOS and I’m currently on Metformin to assist.

Hey @MyPeppyLimeBear- I am familiar with temperature tracking but not with the app you’re using - sorry. I track by taking my temperature each morning before I get out of bed and also chart in Celsius. I’ve attached the chart from when I fell pregnant with my son in 2023. I’m using the same app again, fertility friend as it’s just easy to see what’s going on and you can log all other symptoms too.

@CityKityooh yes I like having someone at the exact same point as me! but that doesn’t sound great, what a rotten time. You never know though. When will you test? I was thinking Friday eve.

If it makes you feel any better we could only try once this month due to work schedules… did it on my LH peak though so at least the timing was good.

I am a MW & HV, September is our busiest month for births so I’m hoping that will keep me nice and distracted this week.

I got a prescription via Dr Mortons - may be worth speaking with them to see if they'll assist you (this was a while back so things may have changed since then).

Hi - I chart regularly using a wearable (Tempdrop armband). I wouldn't say that this shows ovulation but like @CDD1992 I'm finding the app you're using tricky to read - would definitely recommend FF, it's old school but very clear and does some interpretation for you!

No sign of my period so just still testing, will try again tomorrow but can’t see it happening now xxx

🙋‍♀️ Still here quietly reading through, 7dpo and no symptoms last few days which I’m happy with. Time is passing so slow, even on night shifts! 4 more days till I’ll test.

Third cycle of trying. Currently around 5DPO.
Hoping for positive news but also feeling a bit awkward that im putting events in the calendar for the end of my month that im hoping I won't be attending haha (contact sport)

was just clearing out my many many screenshots of my Ovulation tests and spotting this response from my husband after I sent him this one that that indicated it was game time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@bluepears96 sounds like your timing was perfect! Fingers crossed for you. I wasn’t planning to test unless my period is a no show tbh. So let’s see how strong my resolve is. I feel really rough today, but that’s because I’m sick but my mind running wild which is ridiculous. Doubly annoying because I know being sick can throw off my (usually regular) cycles.

General question to those tracking ovulation with regular cycles - really curious to know how much variation there is month to month wihh to your ovulation day? I’m not tracking and honestly have rarely if ever ‘felt’ ovulation or noticed EWCM. I think if there’s no BFP by the end of the year I’ll start tracking but not quite ready yet.

@overwork i know you mentioned needing to be convinced for baby 1, and i feel like I’m in the same boat for TTC round 2. Being sick this week I’ve felt like such a crappy mum to DS, it’s really given me a wobble as I don’t know how I’d cope during pregnancy and the newborn stage. Like I said my brain is all over the shop as this is round one TTC - so overthinking a lot.

Yeah I do think I ovulated later as I had logged ewcm CD 20 and didn’t have my post ovulation symptoms until quite late.

I’ve felt quite sick multiple times today which is making me want to test however I think i’m unsure if im imagining it😣and don’t want to get a bfn again

Had a misscarriage at 11 weeks in June.

Now ready to try again.

CD8 now so will start Ov testing soon 💪🏻

I'm 41, DH is 46, he doesn't want to try anymore than a year so just have to see if we can catch by then 🤞🏻

@CityKity I have very regular cycles. The only time I was ever late on a period was when I was pregnant. My ovulation date is usually on day 15 but sometimes day 16

@CityKity When I was trying to conceive my first I had pretty regular cycles of 26-28 days and generally ovulated day 12-14. Now with breastfeeding I've had 23-32 day cycles. I always have a 12 day luteal phase so ovulation has been day 11-20! I do get ewcm but it can start anywhere from 1-6 days before ovulation.

I do ovulation tests just so I know when I can do a pregnancy test! If it's a month where I ovulate later I don't want that extra 9 days of hoping only to find out I just ovulated late.

I also get the conflict of TTC a second child. My DD sometimes says she wants a brother/sister, but being only 2 I don't think she gets how it would affect the amount of attention I can give her!

I’m cd30 today, could be as much as 16dpo, don’t know didn’t opk.
did both an opk and pregnancy test today, opk was really dark which is why I did the pregnancy test. Negative but another cruel indent or shadow.

is it just me that thinks the easy at home ones are awful if you’re not pregnant or even if testing early?
I tested what I thought was around 10dpo and a few other times too and they all have the worst looking indent that makes you think something is there ! From experience of them before I know when there’s something there and they’ve all been negative but wow they’re so mean.

I did use them in my last pregnancy and got an actual positive at 10dpo that stayed faint for ages, I think I didn’t really get dark til over 20dpo or something but I did have bleeding and a twin loss.

anyway those tests are all gone now so I can’t do anymore 😂

i find it really weird that I’ve made it to cd30 with no spotting, most of my cycles have been 27-28 days long and I get red or brown spotting 1 or 2 days before. I guess I’m only really a day or 2 late which isn’t much but yeah it feels unusual for me. And unfair when I just want to move on and get on with the next one!

@Marvelftw @PBandJellySandwich thanks for sharing your cycle deets. I did listen to a podcast that said if cycles are regular then ovulation is likely to be too which is good to hear.

@PBandJellySandwich my cycles are 26/27 days so have been guessing ovulation on days 12-14 too so let’s see how that goes! DS doesn’t even like sharing me with DH and isn’t a fan of me holding his baby cousins so yea, it’s going to be a wild ride if baby 2 does come along!

late for you, I’ve never had a cycle longer than 28 days aside from the cycle I fell pregnant so I’d find it odd too. Frustrating when you just want to move on to the next one.

Yes, my experience was all fine - can't remember what exactly it cost (it wasn't especially cheap from memory) but I signed up and then sent in my request same day and think I heard back within 24 hours. Prescription was posted out and with me 48 hours after approval.

Sorry you're having a weird cycle - I hope you get some answers soon! I complained earlier in the thread about the Easy@Homes, I had an hcG trigger shot for my IUI which I'm testing out and they're absolutely useless. I bought a 20 pack of Wondfos on Amazon and I'm finding them way clearer.

Yes I could have got a next day appt but had to wait a couple of days because of work. I’d had previous progesterone blood tests so I was able to share those results with the doctor. I didn’t ask about progesterone but he suggested trying it for 3 months. The context for me was slightly low progesterone, TTC for ages, only one pregnancy which ended in a chemical. It was very straightforward. Dr Sami has been on podcasts talking about progesterone supplementation so it definitely sees something’s supports (if clinically right).

Do you remember which medication you were on (or dosage/use)?
In my case I was prescribed utrogestan 100mg tablets for 14 days, with maybe one repeat cycle.

I am.not taking any atm while breastfeeding.

Have just had my fertility phone call - they are getting me booked in for a hycosy, so need to phone tomorrow to get it booked once period has finished. She said can be unpleasant. Anyone had one?

Asked her about progesterone. She said that would be down to the consultant as to whether she felt that would be beneficial. So will speak to her about it when I book in after the hycosy. X

Hello! I took this test today, I’m due weds. There was a barely there line up until 10 mins it turned darker blue but shaded blue next to it (thick line) is this an evaporation or positive? Thanks in advance!!
