Hi everyone, setting up a new months thread for those of us who already know weโ€™re out for August. Iโ€™m going on to cycle 3. Hope this can continue to be a place where we can chat and support one another.

8 or 9DPO today and just tested knowing itโ€™s too early but weโ€™ve all been there. Is this an evap do we think?

Morning girls

@Muddysocks1 Im okay, feeling low. Iโ€™ve bled and digital now says not pregnant so thatโ€™s that. We will be trying again now and will start the LH tests again. Where are you now in your cycle?

@SureLook Im so happy for you darling โค๏ธ how amazing to see babaa on screen and a heartbeat ๐Ÿ’“ Iโ€™m hoping we catch again and it sticks next time.

Sorry to hear youโ€™re feeling low, but totally understandable. Iโ€™m CD4 now. Wondering if Iโ€™ll ovulate early because of the letrozole so need to make sure we have sex earlier and donโ€™t miss the window!

LuckyDuck93 · 05/09/2025 11:05

@Muddysocks1 and all others that take aspirin, do you take it every day or just after ovulation? Im thinking about starting it this cycle

amey44 · 05/09/2025 11:09

Tested today and got another bfn ๐Ÿ˜” Iโ€™m honestly heartbroken that iโ€™ve missed another Spring due date:/ Obviously iโ€™d be grateful for any due date but its more the fact we started trying originally for a spring due date and we've missed it yet again :/ Really fed up with ttc

Looks like it could be an evap but keep testing!!

Ah Iโ€™m sorry :( was there a particular reason you wished for a spring baby? I told my husband that if we donโ€™t get pregnant my November I want to take a month off as I donโ€™t want an August due date if I can help it as thatโ€™s when our first girls birthday is!

Thank you pretty sure it was but will keep testing. Good luck everyone x

SureLook · 05/09/2025 11:43

Thanks all for your well wishes. And sorry for the BFPs and upset. I'm reading quietly in the background with my fingers crossed for you all ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

ChaE05 · 05/09/2025 11:55

@amey44๐Ÿ’” I feel you today. My heart is so so heavy. I'm cleaning my house and just crying. Because it feels so damn hard right now. Sending you a big squeeze. We really have to try and keep positive xx

LuckyDuck93 · 05/09/2025 14:31

@amey44 @ChaE05 sending love to you both, its so hard isnt it and it can feel so lonely too, its just really bloody unfair!
Give yourselves a few days to feel like this, its totally understandable, i've just come out of the "its never going to happen, I hate ttc" week after AF started on Monday and today is the first day i've started to feel some positivity towards it again. One day it'll be our turn and we'll be telling these little babes just how wanted they were โค

AMBM6040 · 05/09/2025 14:34

Hi all, this is my first month on Mumsnet but my 12th month ttc, was hoping to get a bfp this month (Iโ€™m 11dpo today) but Iโ€™ve been cramping for the past 2 days and have some brown discharge today so think thatโ€™s me out! This is our last cycle before being referred for fertility help,
would love to stick around and follow everyoneโ€™s journey to keep me sane- good luck for September everyone ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

blackberryhill · 05/09/2025 14:46

So sorry you're both feeling low @amey44 @ChaE05 , this TTC business sometimes feels so unfair, particularly when you've just got to get on with life regardless.

Had my IUI today so now officially in the TWW. All went very smoothly, husband went and provided his sample at 10.30 and then I headed over a couple of hours later. It was more 'medical' than I had envisaged (I hadn't expected to have to put on a surgical gown or to go to theatre!) but the actual process from entering the building to heading home took less than 30 minutes. I was worried that my husband's sample might be good enough because we hadn't abstained for the minimum three days (which I told my clinic when they scheduled us earlier than we'd expected) but it was apparently 'excellent' and the procedure itself was painless.

Official test date is 19th and despite what I said yesterday I'm going to try to resist the urge to test out my trigger so I can know ahead of time. We're actually away on holiday for a week from the 15th so hoping I can stay relaxed and keep my mind off things.

Marvelftw · 05/09/2025 15:22

@amey44 Really sorry to hear that hun. I was fingers crossing for a Spring time baby too, would have been a definite bright spark after the year Iโ€™ve had but here I am in the summer slot now! How long have you been trying for?

@blackberryhill Sounds really promising, good luck for this cycle!

ChaE05 · 05/09/2025 15:57

@blackberryhillyay it's all done! Amazing. Wishing you everything bit of luck!! Feel excited for you. I really really hope it works, but if it doesn't, how many rounds of this to do they say to try? Or is it just up to the individual?

I'm feeling so anxious for my fertility phone call Monday. I want it to hurry up but I'm so worried Incase I don't feel listened to and they can't do anything. I feel like from doing loads of interest research I know what I want the next step to be and just know I'm going to feel knocked back if they can't do that. I'm hoping for progesterone as although I've had two blood tests showing good progesterone at 7dpo, it is clearly dropping way too early which is why I'm spotting xx

It's up to the individual but everything I've seen says that once you get to 6 rounds without success then there's no value in doing any more. We've paid for a package of three and I think that's likely all we'll be doing.

I hope your call goes well! Who are you speaking with? I know how reticent they can be to prescribe progesterone but I hope they let you try it - my clinic were very resistant when I was trying naturally so ended up sourcing a private prescription for progesterone for a couple of cycles.

memorablemicker · 05/09/2025 16:51

Hi everyone 8DPO here. First cycle properly ttc but have been prepping for a few months with supplements due to an autoimmune condition, which meant I had to start on a load of folic acid quite early. I've tracked my temp carefully this month and had a temp drop 6DPO (back to baseline) - is an implantation dip a thing or just a myth?

Sending baby dust to everyone and grateful to have somewhere to be while I try to resist testing...

LaurLou22 · 05/09/2025 16:58

@blackberryhill got everything crossed for you!!

ChaE05 · 05/09/2025 17:23

@AMBM6040welcome!! So sorry it's taking you so long to concieve, you are in good company โค๏ธ are you trying for your first? Xx

I take every day โ˜บ๏ธ

ChaE05 · 05/09/2025 17:48

@blackberryhillah okay, but hopefully you won't need the other 2 ๐Ÿ˜ it's it something you can do the very next cycle?

Why are they so reluctant to prescribe progesterone? I really don't understand as it doesn't do any harm? Very odd. Was this also a private fertility clinic that wouldn't prescribe it?
My call is with NHS fertility. It's a 40 min call apparently. But so far I've had bloods and pelvic ultrasound with GP in June, that all came back okay. Partners semen analysis was good too. So this is the next step. We aren't entitled to IVF on nhs as we have a child so I'm wondering what they could offer. I'm hoping progesterone and ovulation induction. But who knows if their funds cover that. X

Yes, fingers crossed not needed! We should be able to go straight onto a second one if needed though, as far as I'm aware there's nothing stopping us doing them consecutively (although we might take a little break if we need to do a third because it's my son's birthday in November and I want to be able to enjoy it with him without having to worry about medication or logistics).

Yes, this was a private clinic - I was told they don't like to prescribe because low progesterone is usually a symptom of an underlying issue as opposed to a problem by itself, so supplementation alone doesn't make any difference in conception rates. As you say though it's still something lots of people want to try anyway to see if it helps and it's pretty low risk as far as I'm aware? I hope you manage to have some luck on your call!

Good luck with this TWW @blackberryhill !

I was also told the same by current NHS consultant. However prev private dr said different and prescribed it.. it does make sense trying to fix the problem thatโ€™s causing low progesterone, but in some cases it does seem to still help

Angelyoga · 05/09/2025 19:48

@blackberryhill good luck! Hoping for the best result!
@ChaE05, @Muddysocks1, i have the exact opposite problem concerning progesterone: doctors in Greece where I currently am, are so keen to prescribe drugs. I was offered cyclacur (estradiol and norgestrel) or utrogestan (progesterone).

ChaE05 · 05/09/2025 19:52

@Angelyogaoh good! I'm pleased you haven't had to fight for anything, that is great. I hope it helps get your bfp! Have you been trying for long? X

Angelyoga · 05/09/2025 20:02

Hey @ChaE05
It is actually worse, at least in my case, (not to sound ungrateful of course).
I am still breastfeeding a few times a day at 13 months pp. Hormones from HRT could potentially pass through the milk, which had me worrying.
I will wqit a few weeks before starting any treatment, in order to make up my mind and try to have baby weaned as I'm starting work back in the UK soon.
Wanted another baby soon after my first was born!
