I’m 1DPO, cycle 8 for a first baby 🤞🏼

Hey @Marvelftw, I think you meant luteal phase ?
a normal luteal phase is between 11to 14 days. Having a short luteal phase or spotting well before the period doesn’t give enough time for the egg to implant or it doesn’t give it a nice enough environment basically ! Because the luteal phase starts immediately after period and the hormones make sure the endometrium is “ comfy “ enough for the egg to implant !
my LP was about 9/10 days, and I started spotting on day 8 or 9 which isn’t ideal. I trust this helps !

@WF1990 Yes tested this morning and it's a BFN obviously 🤣 don't know why I did it lol! I've just had some light pink spotting so dont really know what to think about thatmy temp seems to have dropped too today seems to be so up and down each day. I'm deffo starting to feel a bit anxious/crazy today as it's the time when your so in limbo and this is month 8 for me so I'm getting a little fed up/losing hope a bit! 😩

@Lh4503 awww girl I feel you so much 😔 it’s just so disheartening
I don’t have any children this is number 1 for us and I am starting to get tired too. I also find myself blaming myself a lot for not being slim enough or random stuff. It will happen. Sometimes it’s worth taking a step back. I did at Christmas and it did me good.

@WF1990 I cant imagine how you feel with it being your first, your so strong! Never blame yourself though, there's going to be people bigger and unhealthier etc getting pregnant its all timing isn't it, but it's exhausting.
To make it worse between me and my partner we have 3 siblings and they are all currently pregnant 🙈 mind you they did take 9-12 months + too. Its just not our time...yet.
I'm 10dpo today, I usually get spotting starting on 10dpo every cycle so it's not unusual for me but it's usually brown.

@Lh4503i think I knew that with my pcos it could be a bit longer and I also knew that it takes a year on average …! So I’m holding on to this, I’ll get back to you once it’s been over a year 😅
at 10 dpo it really could be implantation too though ? Do you have tender boobs ?

@WF1990 LH is on the rise again this morning but taking it with a pinch of salt for now 😅 I’ll test again later. I’m sorry it’s starting to get you down it must be really difficult given it’s your first. Please don’t blame yourself though it’s just pot luck, you’re doing everything you can.

@Lh4503 you’re in the worst part of the cycle now, it makes anyone feel crazy! Don’t loose hope either it will happen just takes a little longer sometimes 🤞BBT fluctuates for me daily I find looking at the overall pattern more helpful.

The spotting only happened once and has stopped now so could be implantation maybe? Or its the usual pre AF spotting starting slowly. Got some cramping on and off too on the right hand side.

Chat gpt did me a chart showing my temps are above my pre-ovulation baseline which apparently is good even though they are very up and down daily, we will see what happens tomorrow probably go up again 🤣🙈

I have absolutely no symptoms not even sore boobs, but it’s so early I’m only 6dpo. Really looking forward to seee what the 7dpo prog test says tomorrow but I will be disheartened if it’s low ! We shall see !

Aww im hoping your prog is good tomorrow! 🤞 but don't be disheartened if it is low they will give you tablets and that could be it. So either way next month will feel more promising.

Thank you girl ! and youre right, as well 18 nmol is apparently still confirming ovulation but it just means that this level could potentially not support implantation. But it’s not impossible. That would likely explain my chemical pregnancy back last year. Let’s hope !

Sorry ladies thought I replied to this but looks like my post didn’t send 🫠 LH seems to have ‘peaked’ at 0.65 and started falling again and now I’m out of tests 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣🤣 couldn’t be straight forward could it!

@Lh4503 another few days and you’ll know where you are although I know the wait feels unbareable atm! 10dpo is within normal range of implantation spotting not out until your out and your bbt looks like it’s doing the right thing to me 😊

@WF1990keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow as @Lh4503says, don’t feel disheartened if it’s low, I know that’s easier said than done but at least you’ll have some answers (so you can stop blaming yourself!) and it’s treatable 🫶

Awwww @EllieWales how frustrating! 😩 Nope never straight forward! Do you usually get any cramping or anything around ovulation? That always confirms timing for me because I get quite bad ovulation pain.

@Lh4503 I can’t say I do, sometimes I think I can feel something but I also know I can convince myself of anything 😅 just going to assume it’s coming over the next few days and keep an eye on bbt to confirm! I’m glad I did LH this month though I would’ve been way off on ovulation timing had I not.

@EllieWalesi swear my cycles were regular ish and when we started ttc it all went insane ! I feel like you’re having one of these ultra confusing cycles ! Keep us updated !

@WF1990 exactly the same here, my cycles/symptoms only seemed to start when I started TTC, I think its because we're more aware of everything.

I dunno, just had another small bit of brown spotting so I feel like it's the slow start of AF coming. But I'm hoping it's not 🤞

I’m feeling a bit lost and just looking for some comfort or shared experiences.
My period was due yesterday (I’m usually very regular and normally come on first thing in the morning), but nothing so far. I’ve had loads of symptoms this cycle, sore/darker nipples, bloating, vivid dreams, fatigue, basically everything that made me think “this is it.”

We tested Sunday morning and again today (first morning urine, using First Response), but both were negative. It’s left me feeling really flat and confused. Can symptoms be this strong and it still just be PMS? Or is there still a chance it’s too early for a positive?

I don’t want to keep wasting tests, but not knowing is driving me mad.

Has anyone else had strong symptoms, a late AF, but negative tests that eventually turned into a BFP? Or did AF just show up late?
Just need a bit of reassurance really, feeling very emotional today.

it really depends on how many dpo you are I’d say ! I can get really strong symptoms before AF because of progesterone and hormone fluctuation but it really depends if you tracked your ovulation ? Generally speaking there’s no late af but rather late ovulation because the luteal phase tends to be the same amount of day and it’s the time before ovulation that varies.
