Thanks all re the OPKs. Hopefully I’ve peaked and ovulation is happening! We’ve had sex 3 days in a row and I’ve used the ferti-lily cup so will see if that helps.

Ive had my nhs fertility appointment date through and feel like thats immediately lifted a bit of pressure!!

I lost track of tagging a bit but whoever asked about coq10, I was taking this one: https://www.naturesbest.co.uk/co-q10/co-q10/ubiquinol-100mg/

and to those talking about booking a gp, I had a real mixed experience so I’d say just go in and be clear about what you want. I went after 1 year TTC and was fobbed off and told to come back in 3 months. I saw a different gp who was amazing and immediately did fertility referral.
Even if you’ve already got a child they can still do testing. And if there’s an gynaecological issue that can still be treated even if you don’t meet criteria for fertility treatment.
ideally you want to be asking for hormone bloods (day 3 and 21 - you might have to check which day as the nurse and fist gp at mine didn’t know!!), semen analysis and transvaginal ultrasound. I think some might make you wait 1 year TTC (or 6 months over 35) but I’ve heard some GPs will do sooner, and definitely if there’s an suspected issue (I’ve had them before because of issues with my period and pain).
Finally - I def recommend private testing if you feel like you can’t do the nhs wait. Hertility do good blood tests, Daye do a microbiome test (can causes infertility and miscarriages, turns out we needed antibiotics), and scan centres like Window the the Womb etc do fertility scans. Everything seems to cost about £100 but if you can afford it and feel like time is ticking IMO it’s well spent!

just did another OPK and it’s a definite positive (0.88 on Premom but lines as dark as each other). So that’s day 3 of raised but not really dark OPKs, no idea what my body is doing 🙈

MixedBananas · 26/06/2025 07:39

Morning all.
I have been on these threads om and off last few years. Have 2 DC 3 and under. And wanting to TTC no.3.
Hope to get to know you all and be on the journey together.
I am on CD15 and have long cycles so should start O by the end of the week.
As I am still BF my cycles are a bit hectic but tracked last 3 cycles have been 32/33 days. So hopefully I am actually ovulating around day 16/18ish. I know my luteal phase moves about quiet a bit.

Keep badoinking and hope for the best! 😅 That was a really helpful description about going to the GP too. Thank you.

Some news from me - after saying I wasn't going to test again until Saturday morning (who was I trying to kid?!), I've been testing every day at the same time. And amazingly, the line has been getting stronger. So hcg levels are definitely on the up rather than down.

Did a weeks indicator this morning and got 2-3 weeks. (it was1-2 on Monday).

Feeling hopeful, but... Not out of the woods yet. Few emotional tears this morning from me and my DP. Hoping things continue to move in this direction!

Omg @Taysonic this is absolutely a wonderful thing to hear this morning from you. Keeping everything crossed! 🤞🏻

This morning at 10DPO on a FRER with FMU I got the slightest shadow 🫣 trying so hard not to get my hopes up, but there was something there 😬

I swear the worst part about an irregular cycle is knowing you can’t be considered “late” for a week or more after you can first expect AF 😩
CD28. Cramps last two days and swore I would come on yesterday. But who knows when it’ll be.

Mummysparrow · 26/06/2025 08:15

How is everyone? I am way behind on the chat.
I am cd9 and back from holiday and I have been having on off light cramps for a few days so not sure what that's about. I am about to try a daye diagnostic tampon to see if that picks up and then depending on how that goes I may do the fertilysis microbiome tests but that's pricey and can only do it when on my period.

LuckyDuck93 · 26/06/2025 08:22

5 DPO for me, anyone know a way of speeding up time? Asking for a friend 😅

@Taysonic that sounds promising, ive got everything crossed for you!

That looks very promising to me! And I'd say more than just a shadow. Keeping everything crossed for you.

As for me, feels very surreal. I had a lot of early bleeding back in March before my MC and only found out I was pregnant after having what I thought was a period. And the same thing has happened this time - thought I'd had a period and then found out I was pregnant. BUT, the key difference is I didn't really stop bleeding last time whereas this time, the bleeding has definitely stopped and no pain or anything, and, we only had negative progression last time and this time there's definitely positive progression..

There's that protective element though... I want to believe it and god, it's so hard not to think ahead but... I don't want to set myself up for a fall.

There's a long way to go.

If its okay, I'd like to stick around this thread for a while. Just to see how this next week or so goes...

@Taysonic I completely understand not wanting to feel too hopeful, but that all sounds very different from last time. If those lines are getting stronger, then that feels like things are moving in the right direction. Sending you a huge hug and hope you get your answers soon! ❤️

hollyhocks2 · 26/06/2025 09:27

@Taysonic completely understand and by all means stick around and keep us updated, we all need these good news stories. I find it much easier to be happy for you guys that I haven't met, in contrast with having just found out a friend is expecting. Why is that?! Feels very harsh of me and I don't want to be a jealous person. I guess it's just very confronting when you know you're going to see them regularly.

I feel for you @ForGiddyDreamer the timing is very poignant. I've managed not to fixate on due dates for my two losses, not sure how, just never really lodged them in my brain, but there are people who have got pregnant and had babies in the time I've been trying and I definitely expected to find it hard once their babies arrived if I wasn't yet pregnant again but strangely enough it's been fine, so you may be feeling differently when october rolls around. You might be processing it now and not feel so raw when it's published? Congratulations on your hard work.

hollyhocks2 · 26/06/2025 09:28

@DorsetGirl89 there is definitely something there ❤️ cautious optimism for you, keep us posted!!

hollyhocks2 · 26/06/2025 09:31

@Muddysocks1 we've got opposite problems! You're hanging around at high tests and i can't get hardly any colour! Bizarro. CD15, still nada, but maybe I'll end up on similar timing as some of you @ChaE05 @Rancor et al!

I'm the same. For me it's because 3 friends got pregnant the same time around I did/had my loss in January. For me it's the them posting baby shower pics and due August etc and I'm like that's supposed to be me.
It isn't that we aren't happy for them I think it's easier to deal with with people on here as it isn't as close to home as people we personally know. If that makes sense. X

Bumblebee1984 · 26/06/2025 10:20

@Taysonicthat’s great. When’s your estimated due date? Totally understandable to feel a bit anxious but great lines are progressing

@DorsetGirl89i definitely see something there

Ash2345f · 26/06/2025 10:27

Hey guys do you stop testing LH after you got your static smiley on OVT or do you keep them going for a little I’m around 2DPO now just wondering how long I keep testing for now? Thanks x 😀

am44a · 26/06/2025 10:34

Hey Ladies still bfn but feeling way more positive today as next month if i conceive ill have my dream Spring baby! We’re going to try something different this month i’m feeling quite positive I also wanted to try vitamins again and wanted to know which pregnancy vitamins people recommend (apart from pregnacare) ? The only vitamins i’ve tried before were evening primrose oil and just women’s health vitamins which delayed my period 🙃

ScottishLassie3 · 26/06/2025 11:03

Hello! Joining a bit late. #1 cycle TTC and 8dpo (feels like 800dpo 🙄).
Symptoms:

  • Two mouth sores? Very new / odd for me
  • Tender breasts
What DPO did you test and get a BFP if so? 8dpo but going to try and hold testing for another few days!

This is so tough. One of my friends got pregnant around the same time as I did when I had a chemical and I’ve found I’ve distanced myself a bit. Also found out my sister is pregnant and genuinely really happy for her and excited but also is just a massive reminder that it’s not happening for me.
i feel like the clock is madly ticking!

Taysonic · 26/06/2025 11:38

@Muddysocks1 Totally get this! A few of my Uni friends are pregnant and announced around the same time I would have done had I not had the MC. It's tough, and like you, I'm happy for them but I just can't really engage much in their pregnancies in the way I would ordinarily want to. 'Thankfully', they're friends who live far away so it's only really on social media that I'm seeing things which makes it easier...

@hollyhocks2 I feel the same! It's weirdly much easier to be excited and not feel 'jealous' of people on here. I don't know if it's because it's fairly anonymous, but also... I think the fact that the honesty and transparency here means you see the whole picture and know the whole story (and are privy to the worry, the anxiety, the longevity of the journey) means it's easier to have that empathy. Rather than just seeing the highlight.

Based on my last period, NHS calculator is giving a due date of 22nd February 2026. BUT, I think I may not be as far along as that. I think I may have ovulated late this month for an unknown reason. But probably late February, I reckon. 😬Feels so weird to say!

LuckyDuck93 · 26/06/2025 12:52

@hollyhocks2 totally with you on that one, more than likely because everyone on here is so honest about their struggles, in "real life" it can often seem as though people fall pregnant really easily which is a real kick in the teeth when you've tried for so long
