Heyy!!
I'll try my best to keep this short haha no promises.
Me and my partner have been together 8 years and want to start trying. I'm 32 years old Now even though we were never actively trying before, we definitely were not careful and I never used contraception (apart from copper coil that got removed in 2020) I have never ended up pregnant but of course it worries me a little but I'm trying to be hopefully and tell myself it might not happen quickly. I have been taking Pregnacare conception tablets and of course, giving up my vape and making healthier choices.

Im currently on day 4 of my cycle so starting the whole tracking ovulation and what not soon 🤭
Just wanted to post and see if anyone else is starting out and wants to join in and support. I'm gonna try my best to not do any testing until around 12dpo or close to when my period is due 😬

Wishing you all the best 🥰

leah247x · 17/06/2025 21:58

I’m 26 and have also never fallen pregnant by accident, never really trying but also not consciously avoiding for the last 2 yrs 10 months. I am ovulating now and had sex yesterday, cycle day 13 today xx

LibbyOTV · 17/06/2025 23:33

Caz92 · 18/06/2025 09:08

Fingers crossed for you! I'm on cd14 my tests are getting a bit darker now so I'm hoping for a peak soon but I'm going to be pet sitting for 5 days from tonight and my partner is going camping 😭 so I might missed this month. We did the deeds from CD8 to CD12 and maybe today so I dont think I'll get it this month but we will see haha

Definitely getting darker. LH is starting to rise. So I'm hoping I get a peak in the next few days. Hoping my partner will come over for the deed as I wont be back until Monday 😭 but there is always next cycle. I am going to get easy@home next time and log it on my phone lol

Hiya, would love to join in and support x I’m 37 and started trying last month. So this is cycle 2 and am maybe about 4DPO. Have been tracking cervical position and cervical mucus these last two months. Before TTC I had a go at testing BBT but discovered I had a dodgy thermometer towards the end of the cycle and gave up. This month have been using a conception cup.
Haven’t yet tried ovulation tests - how are you finding those? Looks like LH is rising in your latest pic :)

kw1091 · 22/06/2025 23:01

Hi all, this is going to be our first month TTC. I’m 33, have been pregnant once before around 9 years ago and I had a termination. I have been with my partner 3 and a half years and had a mirena coil for 8 years, that came out about 6 weeks ago. I have just had my first period in 8 years which was a relief that things are still working! I’m very new to cycle tracking etc, using the Flo app. I guess we’re just going to have loads of sex over the 10 days or so and hope for the best. I don’t want to order ovulation tests because I’m trying not to get in my head about it all, I also know this could take a while, trying my best to be relaxed and hopefully will enjoy the process 😂

Caz92 · 22/06/2025 23:35

Aww i get you! I feel doing the temp check would just annoy me haha I found even the ovulation tests drove me mad 🤣 my cycles are usually around 26 to 29 but sometimes cane be 30-32 hence why I started lh testing early. I ended up buying boots ovulation tests and I think i did almost get a peak. This was the 20th. Done the deed. Didn't yesterday but did today so I'm thinking I have maybe missed it. This is my first time so I'm trying to keep telling myself it might mot happen straight away. I'll post a pic of them.

@HennyPenny27 Which conception cup are you using? I bought the Fertilily cup and found it very tricky to get in. I have used it twice during my fertile window so I hope it helps me get my positive 😄

Edited

Yeah I picked up the Fertilily cup too - indeed it can be quite messy the first few goes. The first time we used it I was trying to pull it into its cup shape, but forgot to hold onto the cup rim and ended up propelling contents out the other way. DH and I had a laugh about it 😊 I’ve now used it about 5 more times and it’s still a tad messy but hoping it helps.
Have you been trying long? What other things are you thinking of trying?
We’re only on cycle 2, but I’m 38, so wanted to try a few things out - bought the book ‘Real food for Fertility’, which I’ve found so informative and am just in awe at what our body’s can do and how little we know 🥲

Caz92 · 24/06/2025 12:09

I might get the fertility cup! I tried the whole legs up against a wall after the deed but I felt like a right idiot hahahaha! I think I'm around 2-3dpo now. I do think I have missed this cycle but it's only the first time. I had a peak in the evening on CD16 and CD18 and we done the deed then but didn't on cd17 which is likely when I ovulated. You never know I suppose.

Don't think I'll be looking for symptoms because I get all the symptoms when due a period. Nausea, moodswings, increased appetite and so on 🤣🤣 ill probs take a test around 10dpo.

Good luck to everyone though!! Let me know how you get on! X

Caz92 · 24/06/2025 12:16

I meant to say we only done the deed on CD16 and CD18. I only had the peak on CD 16 haha which was the 20th of June.

Also I'm now 2 weeks vape free! Never thought I'd see the day haha

OP posts:
HennyPenny27 · 24/06/2025 16:01

Congrats on being vape free @Caz92!
They say sperm can live a good few days so fingers crossed for a good result for you x
Legs up against the wall is a good shout, but I’ve got tight hamstrings 😂 plus I like to get up and go after DTD, and with the cup you can wear it up to an hour!
Hehe I’m with you on symptom spotting this month, 4-6DPO atm and trying to resist the opportunity to get excited when things are rumbling down there as I read something that says that early pregnancy and literal phase symptoms are pretty much the same up until before menstruation - although I do see from some posts that some women do notice different goings on, so not everyone is the same.
Focusing my energy on exercise and some creative projects for the next week or two - gotta keep the mind busy 🙉 eeeeeee!
What are your tips for not getting too obsessed?

Caz92 · 24/06/2025 16:18

@HennyPenny27 hahaha oh yeah for sure! I know some women know straight away, my mum wasn't planning me but she said she knew instantly. I haven't got a clue hahaha!

I am just trying to do other things like organising and going through old junk and trying to have a clear out. Hoping it stops raining so we can get out for some more walks. That helps taking my mind of it.

OP posts:
Pixiebaileyx · 24/06/2025 21:14

@HennyPenny27 I combined the ferti lily with using the Conceive plus lubricant- Did this 3 days in the fertile window so hoping it has done the job. I think our next step will be private Fertility testing to check everything is working as it should, hope you get your BFP soon xx

HennyPenny27 · 25/06/2025 09:42

@Caz92I wish I had that gift of knowing - would make this TWW a lot easier! I suppose it’s one of those feelings that clicks - I think also comes from recognising changes in your body. It’s been uber helpful these last two months to note how my luteal phase affects me physically and mentally. Have found it easier to think that my oestrogen may be dropping and progesterone rising, rather than spiralling mentally with the usual PMS thoughts and feelings. Things make a bit more sense - feeling very grateful for my body atm - and the opportunity to know when to inject some self care into a situation, rather than get irate at DH 🐊😅
Having a clear out and going for lots of walks sounds like very good mental hygiene!! 😊 Love this for you OP!
One thing I’m going to try and avoid this month is early testing - tried it last month and whilst it may help others, I think it was an added stressor, but each to their own!

HennyPenny27 · 25/06/2025 09:48

Hope this combo works for you @Pixiebaileyx🤞. I didn’t use any lube this month, but will pick some up for next month, plus use the cup. Feel like it’s giving me a sense of control where there really isn’t one 😅 but worth a shot.
How many DPO are you?
Fertility tests will hopefully yield some good insights for you regardless x Thanks hun, hoping you get your BFP soon too x

Caz92 · 25/06/2025 11:19

@HennyPenny27
Hahahaha! It's funny though my DP is completely clueless about all this. Im explaining my cycle and what's happening and he's just scratching his head 🤣
I do find it fascinating how our bodies work. Its hard though. Even though we were not trying i still convinced my self I was pregnant every month but really it was just pms 🙃

Caz92 · 26/06/2025 11:53

Heyyy all.
Just a random post today.
Unfortunately I'm gonna be a bit of a negative Nancy today hahaha, feeling very emotional and my face is covered in spots which is making me think I haven't conceived this month lol all those usual symptoms of pms. Woke up in such a foul mood hahaha! I'll still test though and I would love to see everyone else's results 💖 baby dust too all! Manifesting sticky beans ❤️🫰

@Caz92 Awww hang in there OP. You’re not out until AF arrives and remember that not everyone has strong symptoms prior to a BFP x I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit low today - it’s such a rollercoaster of emotions at times. Wishing you a nice stick bean too xxx

Caz92 · 27/06/2025 13:28

@HennyPenny27
Aww thank you darling 😘
I think it's because I'm not vaping anymore and I dont have my comfort blanket anymore haha! I know it will get easier.

I bought these Proov pdg tests to check for a rise in progesterone to confirm ovulation. They are confusing haha! With these a negative has 2 lines and a positive has 1 🤣🤣 u took one today and there is a second line which is worrying me but they do say to take them from 6dpo onwards. I seen a few folk saying that they got negative results but their blood tests confirmed ovulation so maybe these are not a good way to check. I'll just use their LH tests from now on. I'm supposed to be due af sometime next week. Planning on taking a test maybe Monday or Tuesday.

@Caz92I can imagine the vape and action of vaping is a hard thing to drop at the moment! So huge hug for every day you manage not to vape. If you slip up don’t be hard on yourself either.

I’m not the best person to comment on ovulation strips as I’m only going to start using them next month or after that if no BFP this month. Personally, I’m overwhelmed by thinking of conceiving daily atm. I tried tracking BBT, but after 25 or so days found that I had a dodgy thermometer hahaha - some bad language escaped my mouth!
Yay for your test next week - from what I read it can be so varied how early or late you can get a BFP, so could be worth getting a few reasonably priced ones x
