@ThisHangryTiger not a successful pregnancy but I had implantation bleeding once. It was rust-like in colour and I thought it was the start of AF. Was not enough to fill a tampon and lasted 2 days.

ForGiddyDreamer · 09/06/2025 13:43

@ThisHangryTiger I feel like I commented & ran there. Implantation bleeding should be lighter than AF in terms of quantity. Light spotting in early pregnancy is said to be very common. If the bleeding becomes heavier or contains little clots that is unfortunately a sign of failed implantation. It is not nice having to wait, but you will have to wait and see how it progresses. Fingers crossed it does not get any heavier. Also easier said than done, but try to give it a day or two to retest. If the line darkens with the increased production of HcG you will see that progression xx

wasn't going to test today (thats a lie, I’ve been testing since 6DPO) I know I know😂 I’ve done a wee but I can’t bring myself to actually dip it😂 I feel pregnant but I don’t want the disappointment of a bfn!😩

sorry to hear so many of you are having a difficult time!♥️

ChaE05 · 09/06/2025 10:59

@Muddysocks1I'm so sorry and sad for you. It might be worth telling work as there could offer some support? I've not been in work since my 2 miscarriages, they have been really supportive.
I'm so glad we have this group. Even though we are all going through our own heartbreak, it seems less lonely? X

Yes perhaps I should, its so tricky. That’s good yours have been supportive / I think mine would be were not that close a team and I just worry there might then feel some pressure around TTC in a weird way!
I’m really glad we’ve got this group too xx

Muddysocks1 · 09/06/2025 14:04

@ChaE05 have you done many private progesterone tests? For the referral they needed more than one, so my gp used my NHS one plus previous private tests I had done. Not sure if they’d have done it without any NHS result though. It’s all so clunky ! My gp referred before husbands semen analysis came back, but it’s still showing as under review on the NHS app so dont know if the clinic will accept it yet. His results are back now though so I’m tempted to ring and check they’ve got them if I don’t hear in the next few weeks

So have had a response from my GP today. They said only once I've had my blood tests, pelvic ultrasound, chlamydia test. And partner had his semen analysis. Plus all the results back...will they refer me to fertility clinic. They have also only just said about booking me in for the 21 day progesterone test, which they could have just done this cycle! (Now I've already paid for it myself) so frustrating as got to wait another 4 weeks for that!
Does this sound standard? I'd rather them refer me now, just seems to be delaying things!

Sorry for your negative this morning lovely. Sorry I missed it this morning as we posted more or less the same time.

I can only go on my experience and they referred me last July for my scan through the GP and they referred me for my bloods and fertility clinic at the same time. I’ve only just had my scan on Thursday. They should do it straight away really as waiting times. Hope you’re okay 🩷

Iris2024 · 09/06/2025 14:48

I’m sorry to hear we are all feeling low and so glad we all have each other. I’m really hoping the BFP’s start coming through ✨

Really really bad cramps today, really hurt and some blood, not enough to fill a tampon yet but I expect by tonight I will. It’s really draining me and I feel my life is on hold and can’t feel content until I get those pink lines on a test. It’s hard not knowing when that will be, if at all.

hollyhocks2 · 09/06/2025 15:37

@ThisHangryTiger you must feel stressed, I'm sorry. The dread every time you go to the loo. Crossing everything for you that it's the totally normal type of light bleeding that many pregnant women get. I had bleeding early in my first pregnancy and my 3yo is proof it can be nothing to worry about.

charlzz · 09/06/2025 17:20

Had my GP appointment today for the two back to back chemicals. Was a little disappointed, she definitely made me feel like they weren't "real" losses, and said they didn't warrant any investigation. She even said I just shouldn't test until a week after I miss my period, although when I said but if I did that I wouldn't know about these losses she didn't really have an answer. She grudgingly agreed to do thyroid, iron, FBC, (and vit d/calcium because I'm dairy free due to breastfeeding my son with CMPA) but wouldn't do any hormonal checks. She just said to come back in a year if I still hadn't been successful. I'll see what these tests say, and then just keep trying! Although if it does happen again I think I will push for a referral as surely in that situation it must warrant some more investigations. I know chemicals are on a completely different level from later losses, but I still hoped for a bit more compassion and support from the GP. 😔

ChaE05 · 09/06/2025 17:58

I have just received my progesterone results from 7dpo. 54.2, which said confirmed ovulation. From what I'm reading is a good number? Not sure if anyone knows much on it x

FarAwayBird · 09/06/2025 18:03

@charlzz That’s disappointing. The doctor sounds so dismissive 😣 I have no practical advice because I haven’t been for any investigations - but I’m sure others here can shine a light on what you can do next.

ChaE05 · 09/06/2025 18:05

@charlzzpersonally I wouldn't take no for an answer and I would ask to see another doctor. Such bad treatment. How long have you been trying? A loss is a loss no matter what stage! So sorry you've had this experience x

FlyHighSky72 · 09/06/2025 18:08

@charlzzGP sounds horrible - agree with the others - is there anyone else local you can see - even if it means changing GPs!

Ugh it just doesn't seem very consistent practice to practice does it. This is my first private test, got the results today 54.2. They said they could write to my GP with the result.
Typically the day I would need to have my progesterone checked through the surgery...is a Saturday! So no appointments. Unsure what would happen in this situation.
So are you under the fertility clinic now? Was there a lengthy wait once referred? I hope you're doing okay as can be xx

FlyHighSky72 · 09/06/2025 18:10

Me again looking for advice about my LH tests again - I’ve been continuing to test 2 or 3 times a day and they’ve stayed low (see attached)! I’m now on CD21 of a predicted 29 day cycle - would people still keep testing???

Can I join you ladies.
currently 2dpo cycle 4. I’m 36 so feel like time isn’t on my side although I have 2 teenage daughters from my previous relationship. This would be DPs first. Starting all over again is a bit daunting!

Welcome! This is a lovely supportive group we have 🥰 all the best this cycle! Remember over 35 you can seek help for further investigations once you've been trying for 6 months. I'm 38 ttc number 2. Going into my 8th cycle soon. 2 early losses this year xx

situationalmutism · 09/06/2025 18:12

Cycle 52 ttc #3 having FET this month 🤞

I would! I mean I know the likelihood is you missed your peak but it wouldn't hurt to keep testing just to keep an eye on it to be sure x
