Hello, I have been ttc since September 2022, fell preg twice the first year, but neither worked out, now on month 14 ttc since then.
Have tried all dif supplements and different ways ttc and tracking/not tracking.
Just wondered was anyone else in the sane boat or been in the same boat and have a success story? 🙂

@secondtimelucky87 Yes it arrived Sunday night! Yay, so I am on cd3 now. Have cut both our vitamins down for this cycle just to the essentials to see how things go. Really don't know what to do this cycle... maybe need to spend a few more hours of my life Googling lol

Woohoo for the ewcm, I know what you mean about dtd. I get in such a dilemma every fertile time, do we do it more ofter and have more sperm or less so it's more concentrated and then what if we start dtd too early abd then the peak is later and we're too worn out by then. Aww it's awful all the thoughts and anxieties. What did you decide in the end? Great your opk is so dark x

Hello! We ended up doing 3 days before ovulation, peak day and 1 day post ovulation. Skipped ovulation day which isn't great but I was just so worn out. I struggle with more than 1 day in a row tbh. 🙈 I've noticed my post ovulation temps are lower than usual this month which I'm curious about. I got my usual 36.80 2dpo and last few have been around 36.60. But maybe it's just because it's suddenly much colder atm. Who knows? I started getting my usual monthly cramps earlier than usual too at 3dpo. I usually get them from 5dpo and they carry on until AF but yeah never this early.

How are you doing? I think just see how you go. Next cycle I'd be tempted to just start BD earlier as I do start getting CM like 2 days after period ends. It's always a bit of a relief when the fertile window is over and you can just stick Netflix on and relax though. 🤣

Ladyinpink1 · 18/11/2024 20:55

@secondtimelucky87 oh really, that all sounds promising! Do you feel like you have possible symptoms then? I get ewcm right after my period too. And I seem to get it quite a bit through my cycle, it can be confusing if no opks.
It sounds like you covered your bases well dtd on those days. Yes it's such a relief when your fertile days are over and when the tww is over... I actually find being on my period the most relaxing part of the cycle lol.

I had my gynecologist appointment, as well as doing my miscarriage checks, and giving me advice, she has checked my womb and all looks good, she has taken a sample to test also and is going to bring my back to do an xray and dye in tubes (the hycosey i have seen talked about on mnet i think) so the appointment went well. x

Hello! I'm 10dpo and temp dropped right down today so I'm expecting AF in a day or 2 now. Might have to see if we can somehow find the energy to DTD more next cycle. It's just tricky as we have male factor so I worry about doing too many days in a row. Not sure what the best course of action is really!

I'm really glad you had a positive appointment! Must feel really useful to start to get some answers. Was that all just done via pelvic ultrasound? Yeah the hycosy does get talked about a lot on here and seems to be helpful for lots! I'm counting down the days until our fertility consultation in December now.

I actually started some therapy this week as I've been struggling emotionally with the toll of TTC. I think it's just hard going through this a second time after the 3 years it took to have my daughter. Only had 1 session so far but it helped so much to get stuff off my chest. 😊 I'm trying to meditate every day too with Headspace on her recommendation. How are you getting on? X

Ladyinpink1 · 24/11/2024 15:53

@secondtimelucky87
really sorry your temp has dropped and you are expecting af. I know what you mean, I never know what's best for how many times to dtd. This cycle we have done every other day because I'm not tracking, and I wondered is it too little lol you can't win.

Yes I had an ultrasound and she checked womb etc and took a sample while there. I Googled the procedure I am waiting on from her now it's not actually hycosy, it's the same sort of thing but instead of ultrasound it uses xray, it's called HSG. I'm sure you can't wait. Not too long now, when in Dec is it?

That sounds really good, I'm glad offloading a little helped. Because you have experienced if all before I can imagine it's even more tough. How have you found the meditation?
I am ok thank you, CD15 today so assume I have ovulated. The tww will be a little easier not know exact timings but I was lying in bed last night and just got a wave of dread at the thought of the end of the tww, not being pregnant again and having to start all over for the hundredth time. Ok maybe not hundredth but it sure feels it x

Hi @Ladyinpink1 I'm so sorry for the mega late reply. Honestly been struggling quite a lot with it all. Did you end up having your HSG? I feel like I probably need to have one of those but am a bit nervous as am such a wimp. That's amazing you did every other day. Was that throughout cycle? Latest from me is we had our consultation with a fertility clinic and was told pretty much to just go straight for IVF because of my crap AMH. But I'm really tempted to at least try ovulation induction as a cheaper and less invasive option. Tbh the success rates don't look that different to IVF at 37. Some good news is that my DH's latest semen analysis was amazing. I'm really proud of him for working on it and getting those results. It's part of what makes me wonder if we actually do need IVF or just some extra help via a medicated cycle. Will have a think over next few days. I'm 6dpo now so just waiting on AF at some point. How is everything going with you? To answer your other question the meditation is helping enormously and I really recommend it. There's a whole section on fertility on there too. Xx

Ladyinpink1 · 17/12/2024 21:41

@secondtimelucky87 I'm sorry you have been struggling with everything. It's so tough when you have been waiting for so long isn't it.
The every other day was for about a week just at roughly the right fertile time last cycle. I am cd13 now in this cycle and I did opks, had my peak yesterday so have been dtd each day this time.
I get what you mean, that's great your dh sperm are doing well so if you could get ovulation stimulated you would have a great chance. If you didn't need to wait too long I'm sure you could try it for a set time. Could you maybe even get on waiting list for the ivf and try it in the meantime? Hope I have picked that up right.
Glad it is going well. I have had reflexology this cycle, it was very relaxing if nothing else x

Hi,

I have one blocked fallopian tube, and currently been ttc for 3 months. Has anyone had experience with this and success in conceiving? Currently waiting for a gynecology appointment to hopefully get some advice on how the tube could affect implantation.
Thankyou

Hey! How are you doing? You must be in the TWW now I'm assuming? Best of luck for this cycle.

I've decided I'm going to go for a Hycosy as I'm more and more convinced I've got some kind of blockage or scar tissue from my c section. We just can't see how we can afford IVF (obviously has to be self-funded with having a child already) as we're looking at close to £10k in London once you factor everything in. So I think the plan is hycosy as soon as possible and then depending on results of that potentially explore options such as monitored cycle or IUI. With an AMH of 2.6 I'd have needed several cycles of IVF too. Did you manage to get an appt for your hycosy? I'm really hoping it's the miracle fix I need. 10dpo now and temps still above coverline so I guess technically not out but am really just waiting on AF now so I can get the scan booked in!

Ahh the reflexology sounds lovely. I think there's a lot to be said for doing anything you can to help you relax when TTC! X

Hi @cshelton no sorry, I have no experience of this, I hope you got sorted with an appointment and some help for it x

Hi @secondtimelucky87 not sure how I missed your message. That is such a lot of money, i never knew how expensive it all was.
How are you doing now? Did you book your hycosy?

I'm still waiting on my appointment. I will be going onto a new cycle tomorrow so no changes for me unfortunately. x

I posted on this back end of October. I actually fell pregnant that cycle (cycle 14) but it was ectopic and so I'm still trying.

I've just had ovulation in the last few days so back in yet another two week wait. The thought of taking another 14 cycles to catch again is extremely depressing and I'm really hoping it will happen again successfully this time soon.

Hi lovely. Latest from me is I had my HyCoSy last Friday. All absolutely clear with no blockages. On one hand: great. On the other I can't help thinking why isn't it happening for us then! It's been close to 2 years on and off trying now. I'm waiting for my next period to start and then I'm doing ovulation induction with Letrozole. The success rates aren't great but it's much cheaper so can afford to try it for the max number of cycles until it hopefully works. Obviously hoping for a post HyCoSy miracle this cycle but not holding out much hope. I do ovulate on my own but the consultant said it was worth trying to boost chances. He also strongly advised against wasting money on IVF in my circumstances which was reassuring. I went private for the HyCoSy btw to avoid waiting times on NHS and ditto with the medicated cycles. I don't know how long I have to left with my AMH being so low. I'm so sorry to hear you're still waiting for your appt. Would you consider going private too? X

Ladyinpink1 · 28/01/2025 16:26

I'm So sorry for your loss @MocktailMe and sorry to hear you are back here trying again. That must of been a really awful time getting your hopes up to have that happen. I hope you are doing ok. I know what you mean, i feel so fed up with it being so long now too x

@secondtimelucky87 That's great you got an appointment and all was well... but yes you kind of hope to find something small but fixable so you can do whatever needs done then have success, I felt the same when all my tests and internal scan came back clear, I was happy but also more perplexed. Was it sore having it done? I think mine is almost the same except when I Googled it, it's called HSG, and is xray rather than ultrasound but I wondered how it was to get it done?

I hadn't thought about going private, maybe I will ring theconsultantt's secretary to see if I can get a time scale then chase it up.
So do you have to pay for the letrozole? It sounds like you are taking steps in the right direction. My dh has an app for analysis next Friday which he isn't keen on going to but I'm hoping he will as I was wondering could that be holding up the HSG for me.

I know, it's now more than 2 years for me and since the last pregnancy it's been about 18 months trying. I feel like I want it so much but at the same time it's taking over a bit lol x

I realise this is an old thread, but I am looking for some hope. I am on month 15 of TTC #2. It took me 24 months of ttc #1 (including two failed rounds of IVF) but he did come along naturally. My AmH is low and I’ve got a blocked fallopian tube so I know it might take me longer but I am rapidly approaching my 39th birthday and just cannot fathom not having another child. Did any of you fall since the last thread? An update from any of you might really help me keep some hope. Thanks in advance.

Ladyinpink1 · 27/07/2025 07:42

Hi @Hazzakay sorry, I have no good news to report, although we are testing normal for everything and i have now had an hsg, we are still trying.
Sorry you are struggling too. Could they do anything to help with the blocked tube?

I always find it anoying reading a thread with no update on it, so thought I would update this fir anyone in the future, I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant.

This is after 2 years of ttc since the last mc, so it can happen. If you are reading this and struggling, keep up the hope! 🩷 x
