Hi, I am 8dp3dt, it was a fresh transfer but it's been 16 days since trigger. I gave up and tested at home, now not sure what to think. Is it definitely a positive and a good one? I want to enjoy this moment but nervous AF.

Hi @HiroshimaBaby, did your have a follow up scan today? Hope everything is going well for you x

Hi! The consultant saw me today and scanned. Said the uterus baby looked fine and the other 'thing' she is still undecided on, she is leaning towards it being a follicle, but has features which trouble her. She has decided to take it to the specialist panel at Queen Charlotte Hospital tomorrow and will call in the afternoon to share their opinion and recommendation. I am trying to stay hopeful and positive. She did say her instincts tell her its fine, but she cant ignore some features. So still on wait and watch. Thank you so much for checking in though, hope you are feeling well and relaxed? x

Thank you this is very kind. They have asked me to come in for yet another scan this Friday. I suspect they want to see if there is a yolk sac which can help them diagnose with confidence. Really stressful but my fertility clinic has been very supportive and been in constant touch as well. This process is just hard till the baby arrives.

Hi, thank you for checking in. They had me see the head of obst, she has confirmed the 'mass' is part of the ovary and not the fallopian tube. So the immediate risk of rupture has been reduced. However they are monitoring it every few days before they can 100% rule of the ectopic. I saw a specialist privately yesterday at the London Clinic and they agree with the plan, but we did see the fetal pole yesterday and i cant believe how quickly this is becoming real. How are you? ready for the baby to arrive? xx

Yes, so much better than the initial alarm. That week was simply terrible. Slowly believing this can happen :)

Thank you so much for following up. Had a few bumps on the way, but my 12 week scan looked all good, almost 16 weeks now and cant wait for the 20 week scan. Battling crazy body aches and hip pains and very sore breasts but other than that im okay :) enjoying your baby?

Oh amazing!! Congratulations! I’m so happy for you! Have you felt baby moving yet? If you haven’t it will start soon and it’s so amazing!! Are you going to find out what you’re having at your 20 week scan?
Yes, my baby is lovely thanks, I can’t believe she’s already two months old! And my little boy absolutely adores her and loves being a big brother!

TheShellBeach · 07/12/2024 19:53

so happy to hear of your little girl! My scan is on the 7th of January and still not decided if i want to know about the gender or not. Because of my medical history with Inflammatory conditions, part of this journey has been very difficult and made me very anxious. So trying to master my mind and learning to enjoy this journey as my baby grows strong and healthy to come into the London smog :) I feel flutters for sure. but some days nothing at all, i also have anterior placenta so that doesnt help. I doid go into MFAU stressed something was wrong as i hadn't felt the flutters in days and they checked with the doppler and baby's heart was good, they said it takes time before i will regularly feel the baby. I feel time is dragging but thats just me being nervous :) You must have had a magical christmas with your two ones xx

I think the worst part of IVF is that you think it will all be ok once you get a positive result, but being pregnant after IVF is so stressful and full of worry! I just used to try really hard to remind myself of the statistics and remember that by far the most likely outcome of my pregnancy was a healthy baby! But it is so so hard sometimes! And then you have a baby, and then you never stop worrying again!
I had an anterior placenta with both of mine, so feeling movements was really hit and Miss until I was about 22-24 weeks I think.
7th of January is so close, are you really excited?!
We have had a lovely Christmas thanks, it has been absolute chaos with an almost three year old and a newborn, but it was very nice and we definitely felt very lucky to have the chaos! You will have all of that to deal with next year 🥰 xx

100% IVF pregnancy is full of anxiety. I have recently had a flare up of my otherwise dormant Crohn's so working through that at the moment and nervously looking forward to the 20 week scan.

So glad to hear of the 'chaotic' christmas, such wonderful memories. Do you have help with the baby given you already have a toddler? x

Awww thats so kind. Its been a blur of few months, learning each day! She just had her 12 week jabs and spiked a fever, i never felt so terrified in my life before. being a mum is being able to steel it all. How are you? How is your little one now? She must be over a year?

OP posts:
LFH1990 · 17/08/2025 18:57

Oh it’s awful when they’re not well. Just one more set of jabs though and then you’re finished until she’s one! We’re all good thank you, my little girl is nearly 11 months now, I’m going back to work next month! It has gone so quickly and we’ve definitely had our moments but it’s mostly been really lovely, and it’s been so nice seeing my little boy growing into the best big brother!
