Hi, I am 8dp3dt, it was a fresh transfer but it's been 16 days since trigger. I gave up and tested at home, now not sure what to think. Is it definitely a positive and a good one? I want to enjoy this moment but nervous AF.

@HiroshimaBaby that’s really good progression, looking really good for you!! Those test strips always take aaaaages to get properly dark; if you want to cheer yourself up do an FRER and you’ll get a lovely dark line now 😍

Thank you so much. Just did bloods for beta and now waiting. Not sure i am convinced the strip tests are false positives! argh, so anxious!

Is this positive? The test line showed up at exactly three minutes but doesn't look pink or purple. So is it positive? Any comments or opinions about it are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, how further along are you? I think i see something in the second picture, maybe try again in a few days?

Haha no, you don’t get multiple positive tests and progression over time with false positives! You definitely have positive tests, fingers crossed for good blood results for you, keep us updated when you get them back!

Just got off the phone, confirmed positive! So shook and excited and awfully nervous. I hope its a healthy baby, its a fresh untested transfer so now keeping everything crossed for a smooth pregnancy. Thank you so much for holding my hand last few days. x

Amazing news, congratulations!! Did they give you a date for your viability scan? I have done IVF twice and had two transfers and both times found the wait from a positive test to viability scan the most stressful time, just try to keep busy and really take care of yourself.
You’re more than welcome, I’m so glad things are going well for you, now just take it one day at a time and try to enjoy it! X

Yeah, so they said bloods everyday for next 5 days and scan in two weeks. Its all becoming real! Im trying to stay positive, so easy to believe it will all go wrong, but want to fill my life with positive thoughts. what helped you when you were waiting? And how did your HCG levels do?

Oh that’s really good, my clinic didn’t do HCG tests at all, we just did the transfer, were given an official test date, and then they called us on that date to ask what the result was and then booked a viability scan for approximately 7 weeks. I probably didn’t do too well at staying calm during the wait, but I’d previously had a couple of miscarriages (from natural pregnancies, not from IVF, both my IVF pregnancies stuck) so I was very stressed! But in general I found that getting out for nice long walks with my dog and going out for meals and days out with my husband helped to pass the time.

So reassuring to hear of your IVF exp. My last transfer didnt implant and all the data around being over 40 and have autoimmune issues aswell, i was convinced it was not going to work. I m still in shock really. I will follow suit and go for walks. Im surprised though that your clinic didnt monitor HCG, can i ask which clinic you went with? Im assuming you are under 40?

All the best! And don’t worry if there’s no symptoms, some people don’t feel unwell at all!

We used Create Fertility, and yes I’m 34. I would really just recommend anything really that will keep you occupied!
I can’t complain about Create medically/scientifically as I did two IVF cycles and (touch wood!) will have two children out of it, I’m 38 weeks pregnant at the moment, but as a company to deal with they were horrific and extremely stressful. But then I’d rather have an admin headache and children than to say that they were great to deal with but it didn’t work!

please can you share any learnings and advise for a brand new pregnancy? Im feeling slight cramps throughout the day and feels like period cramps just not severe, and worrying!

Oh the cramps are completely normal…as is feeling crazy about them!! I would worry when I had them because they felt like period cramps and what if something was wrong; but then if they stopped I would worry that whatever had been happening before to cause them was not happening anymore! The reality is it’s completely normal for the first few weeks and they can just come and go! The whole thing is completely maddening!

Totally normal

Some of it is hormones and gas later in it will be your uterus growing and organs moving. Unless it's adverse pain try not to worry x

Hey, how are you doing? I went in for an early scan yesterday, only week 4 and 4 days and they couldnt confirm but they think they saw something and asked me to go back in tomorrow. Also my progesterone is fluctuating, anything i could do to level it?

Wow I’m surprised they agreed to scan you that early, we could never have a scan until 7 weeks because they said they wouldn’t be able to see what they needed before then anyway! Haven’t they given you progesterone pessaries? I was given progesterone pessaries to use three times a day from egg collection until the end of week 12, if your progesterone is fluctuating I’d expect them to offer you something to maintain it.
All good here thanks, just trying to remember what I need to do to be ready for a baby!

I had scan scheduled for a dermoid cyst and so when they learnt of my pregnancy they went looking for it and think they saw something but weren't 100% and now im in emergency care! The Midwife called today and said as my HCG is over 1000, they should be able to see something. I am on Prontogest injections for progesterone, and up till last few days the levels were good but suddenly fluctuating.

Do you have a planned C section or vaginal? good luck, and please keep me posted!

I still think less than 5 weeks is super early for them to see anything, I would try not to worry.
Oh I don’t really know about the progesterone then, like I said, our clinic didn’t do bloods so I never knew what was happening with HCG, progesterone, or anything else!
My son was born via c section, and this time we are waiting to see if the baby does the decent thing and comes out in time, but if not it will be evicted via c section! So we’ll see! I’m happy either way though, my c section was really good last time so I’d be happy to do that again if it comes to it!

I hope it goes really well for you this time aswell. Which hospital were with ?
I had my scan and they could see the sac, which was reassuring but they also think i may have suspected heteroptic, so the second embryo may have implanted in my right tube. They are not 100% and have asked i come back in 48 hours. This is such a rollercoaster and I'm genuinely struggling.

We go to Northampton General, they were really good last time so feeling optimistic for this one!
Sorry you’re dealing with that, it’s really really hard in these first few weeks and there are so many unknowns. I wish I had someone more useful to say, just try to take things day by day and look after yourself x
