Early bfp?

I am 3 months postpartum and had my first period 4 weeks ago. My next one was due today. For the past week I've felt weird, like I've felt like I know I'm pregnant but was just sort of waiting to find out. I've been really hungry and tired but also had really strong period pain for about a week. I think I actually ovulated 5 days later than my app said so my period should be due today but I actually think it should be due in about 5 days. I had these tests this morning but then negative on an ultra early digital?

@jadeyjadee I'm glad to hear it's progressing. Mine are also getting darker, so so early though.

Yes it seems darker but maybe should be darker? Early pregnancy is a complete mindf$&# 🙈

Ahhh that's definitely looking positive to me! Congratulations!!! 😍. Fingers crossed it keeps progressing. I'm nervous today as mine seemed a bit lighter this morning ...

You’re pregnant so stop testing now (said with complete understanding of how hypocritical I am). It’s not an exact science and your test may be lighter because you had more to drink or less dye on the test.

Oh I completely get it! I tested so many times when I was finally pregnant with DD2. It doesn’t help the anxiety though I don’t think as we second guess the tests and compare the darkness.

@jadeyjadee I think this early on variations are normal. Having a drink will mess it up this early on. I had lighter in the evening vs morning. Do you have a photo?

It was first thing this morning so I hadn't had a drink yet and seemed lighter than last nights but I don't know. I didn't take a photo but maybe I should have so I could remember what the previous ones looked like haha x

We have been TTC for a year now and I've had some horrible headaches/migraines alongside some horrible stomach problems and dizzy spells for the last week.

I only tested to rule it out and think it might be a positive.

Also weirdly I think I did have a period almost 2 weeks ago so I'm still a wee bit dubious if this could actually be a BFP ✨

See what you gals think or if I'm just losing my mind over here 😂

Ps. Digital one was BFP although that one wasn't done with FMU and I can't get any FRERs today.

The line looks quite grey on here but I know mumsnet can ruin the quality of photos. Does it have colour in person? I have had really awful evaps with clearblue tests in the past so don't use those ones! Do you have a pink dye test you can use? The digital might be negative because it might be too soon. Although if you had a period 2 weeks ago you would only just be due to ovulate now so wouldn't be testing positive for another week or 2 xx

Yes the test in person is defo a blue line.

I have PCOS so my cycles are really irregular at best of times and I do have to do ovulation tests to try and pinpoint the fertile window.

I will try and get a pink dye test and retest. Tbf don't think I can trust any test, I'll have to see the the digital one come up with "pregnant" before I believe it 😂😂😂

This was my clear blue test last year that was a false positive. It was a really nasty evap line. Apparently the blue due tests are quite bad for them. Hopefully yours is a bfp because it looks more solid than the line on mine but defo get a pink dye test and try that. Keep us posted! Baby dust to you x

@jadeyjadee omg I know they're the worst for those. I've had those evaps before too but this time it defo appeared really fast and looked like a proper solid line.

I will retest tho for sure, don't trust that it's accurate just yet x

If it came up quickly and was solid, there is a good chance it will be real :) I'm keeping everything crossed for you x

Oh yes today morning also seemed lighter for me than last night. I think I'll probably test until dpo 14 and then let it go as it's making me anxious. This early a lot can happen. With 2 of my 3 early losses, progression was slow, still very faint on dpo 14, so if I get a stronger result this time, at least I know there is a chance it will be ok. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@jadeyjadee I think I will book a scan for 7 weeks. Are you doing it privately?
Yes that's completely understandable to test, it's the only thing we can do this early. So hard though!

Yes I have booked a private one for when I think I will be just over 6 weeks.
My tests are much darker today and I'm even getting positive on the cheap non sensitive digital ones :)

@jadeyjadee ahh that's great, I think it's a good sign it's progressing. Hope you can get some reassurance from the scan. I'm definitely tempted to book mine, I'll probably try to do it in the beginning weeks of July, which feels so long 😂

@jadeyjadee btw what is the pink test you're using? Is that boots pregnancy?
