I'm 2dpo and would love some company to get through the next couple of weeks!

I'm on cycle 6 ttc #2. I keep going between feeling really hopeful and optimistic to feeling really deflated and like it's not going to happen. Hoping to stay positive though!

I'll hold out till 10dpo if you do!!

I’ve been up super early and didn’t do one so I’m in for 10DPO… are you testing this morning?

Hi everyone! Caught half way in the tww also, currently what i believe to be 8 dpo and I'm not sure if I've manifested symptoms! Currently not feeling ready to test as I don't want to see a bfn again 🙈

Currently cycle 4 ttc #2 😊

Edited

Hello,
there is a few of us on the same DPO so we are in this together. What symptoms have you been having?

that’s ok not to test, you do what’s best for you! I caved in yesterday and got a BFN but will test again tomorrow.

Favofit · 28/04/2024 08:34

9dpo today and didn't face thankfully . Will test tomorrow morning but feeling absolutely zero symptoms 🥲

QuantumPanic · 28/04/2024 08:35

Also TTC first child. Think I'm around 14dpo - tested Friday morning, but nothing. Immense cramps when out for a run this morning (they stopped after the run) so I assume my period is imminent. It'll be a little late, but I've had some kind of illness these past few weeks, so chalking it up to that (although I did try and attribute everything to possible super-early pregnancy!) Not totally counting myself out just yet, but strongly suspect I'll be back in 24hr with a 'nope'.

Good luck to everyone waiting!!

@Firsttimetrier 8PDO is still super early for a positive test, you're not necessarily out yet! I didn't have a positive till 11DPO with my son (was negative at 10DPO). I always found this site helpful when I was tempted to test early: Pregnancy tests on 8 days past ovulation - Countdown to pregnancy

Hey, thanks for this! What a great website. Wild to see that 3% of women are still testing negative at 18dpo!

QuantumPanic · 28/04/2024 08:42

Orangelover · 28/04/2024 07:08

Can I join this 2ww chaos?

TTC number 1, first cycle so new to all this.

Told myself I really wasn't bothered and was just going to be chill and dtd around the right time and see what happened. Yeah.. you know the rest Blush Fast forward to today, I think I'm around 9dpo and dying to poas.

Do I just go for it.. or hold out a couple more days? Didn't realise how much I actually wanted this Blush DH is super excited too and is really hoping for a positive so I'm deliberately not talking about testing and being v low key about it because I don't want him getting his hopes up. I need to manage his expectations and keep reminding him it might take a few months or more Grin

Hello,

Someone posted this upthread - https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=9

Looks like at 9dpo it's 50/50 as to whether you'll see a positive. If you've got plenty of tests, may as well??

Yeah I tested as I only just saw your comment 🙈🤣. Bfn! Oh well!

This month we really went for it with dtd, I don't think I can do that again next month so might try smep again.

Haha, yeah, I can only assume that those are women who have their dates wrong, perhaps with long cycles basing their DPO off of a standard 28 day cycle with ovulation on Day 14 when actually they aren't ovulating till Day 20 or so. Still a useful site though!

Hi, I notice this thread has been going for a while, hope it’s ok to jump in. I am 5/6dpo and I had fertility treatment so I know I ovulated on Monday 22nd April.

My last cycle I fell pregnant but unfortunately had a MC at 6 weeks. This TWW is so much harder as I’m comparing everything to last time when I got a positive.

Last cycle I had twinges when I got up too fast frequently from Ovulation and cramping on Ovulation day.. this time I’ve had no twinges and hardly any cramping… expecting the worst.

I know every pregnancy is different but anyone had similar? Lots of symptoms one positive and then nothing the next??

x

I believe I also ovulated on thr 22nd April so we're ona. Similar time line!
Though yesterday my watch changed my ovulation date ans AF date based on my temperature so who knows. It did this last month and I was pregnant but 4nding in CP so trying to not get my hopes up but whilst getting my hopes up! Haha

You spotted any symptoms yet? 🤞

Hi, that's comforting to know I'm not alone. I've had a lot of metalic taste in Mt mouth, more emotional than usual (tearful), boobs are more sensitive and I've had some pulling/stitch type feelings. All similar to AF symptoms which makes me not want to test. I'm due AF next weekend so it's a long wait!

Sorry to hear you it was negative fingers crossed it will be a bfn tomorrow!

ChyLL · 28/04/2024 09:42

@Eatsleepbakerepeat I've never tracked with temperature, hopefully it won’t be too far out.

I have had some cramping, a few vivid dreams, weeing more and a kinda bruised feeling in my stomach since last night. However I am taking progesterone and they cause a lot of pregnancy like symptoms 🥴

How about you? When are you planning on testing?

I don't understand why it's moved it but hey ho.
Going to wait for a test, so the app I have used for years (that doesn't take into account temp) said AF due Thursday, if its not arrived by Friday morning cos I am like clockwork ima do a test (going out witha. Friend so be good to know if I can have a little drink or not!)
I tested early last cycle and had a CP so I think this month I'd rather just not know!

Symptoms wise is hard to say, I think I'm a terrible spotter, but my lower back kills, I feel exceptionally full and nauseous and like I have indigestion and I've been drinking loads but tmi was constipated this morning

To me that all looks positive but then my resting HR has dramatically dropped so I don't think this month is my month, I had some pretty intense symptoms early in the month around ovulation so think my body is just struggling with any hormone change post MC
We shall see!

I remember in a previous post you saying you had lots of dtd. Tiring stuff don’t think I could go like you did so I take my hat off to you for all that trying! How do you do smep?

It is so bloody tough as all the early pregnancy symptoms some people get, I seem to get a lot of them every month anyone. Metalic taste though do you normally get that?
it is a long wait isn’t it, will feel forever says I’m due Friday so a longggg 5 days this will be!

ChyLL · 28/04/2024 12:17

@Eatsleepbakerepeat i don’t blame you for waiting to test.. I would rather not know if it was a CP too.
Have you read much info about pregnancy after a MC? After I had my MC I had one period and then my fertility treatment on the following ovulation.

I have a little boy who is 2.5years and I had him the cycle after a MC at 11 weeks so I’m hoping all will work this time too 🤞🏼.

I have quite a dull ache in my lower back also and tender-ish boobs. But tender boobs is probably my progesterone supplement.

My clinic wants me to test on the 8th… I am due AF on the 7th so I might wait until the 10th if I can 🥴

Marie1990x · 28/04/2024 14:35

I have finally got my peak OPK today on CD24. How long after would you think ovulation would happen? I know people usually say around 24 hours, but I’m getting cramping now so scared I’ve missed it and DTD tonight will be too late (DH is out annoyingly so can’t jump on him 😂).

We DTD Friday night/Saturday morning and will make sure it happens tonight. So frustrating as it’s come sooo late and now possibly missing it

Anyone want to join for two week wait?
OnePinkDuck · 28/04/2024 14:57

@Marie1990x the egg survives for 24 hours so if you both feel up to it then get to it 😉 but Friday and Saturday is perfect timing if ovulating today/tomorrow.

Marie1990x · 28/04/2024 15:17

@OnePinkDuck thank you for replying ☺️. My next google was going to be the survival time of the egg 😂.
I think it’s definitely happening now as I’m getting quite sharp twinges in my right hand side now.

Haha yes I’ve already msgd DH telling him to make sure he’s not too tired when he gets home 😂

OnePinkDuck · 28/04/2024 15:31

I think it’s fascinating that people know when they are ovulating, I’ve never felt it, although my menstrual cramps have always been really mild to non existent, love that people are so in tune with their body!

I made up for 20 years without menstrual cramps however when I went into labour with my son - he was positioned OP and I had the most traumatising experience of back labour which I won’t elaborate on here, but it still terrifies me now that if I am blessed enough to get pregnant again that experiencing that again could be a possibility. Will definitely have to seek some form of counselling (obviously need to get pregnant first 😂)

Marie1990x · 28/04/2024 16:08

Oh @OnePinkDuck I feel your pain, DD was also OP position and had a terrible experience. Did you ever have a debrief from the hospital?
Not sure if your experience was different, but I had a mixture of the traumatic labour along with short staffing so they didn’t realise for literally days, which led to a very poorly baby. The debrief definitely helped, but my midwife said if I was ever to have another then a planned section would be advised.

Yeah but then you see people say they dtd once in their fertile window 🤣. I wanted to do the 3 days before ovulation (which is normally cd15) but then didn't end up ovulating till day 20 which has never happened before!

Google smep as it'll explain it better than I can but the general gist is dtd every other day after your period ends until you get a peak OPK and then dtd 3 times in row, miss a day and then once more.

In my reading it says you can get the cramping the day before the o day as your ovaries swell and get ready to the release the egg.
sounds like you have done a good amount of DTD’ing in ready for o day!
good luck

I never knew moving around of the o day was a thing. I thought it happened around the same time every month. Shows you how naive I am in the world of conception.

that sounds like a lot of DTD , does that not run the risk of the quality of the sperm not being so good or is that actually an old wives tale.

my little symptom spot of today is lower back pain and I feel like I’m tummy is full . TMI but it’s like I feel like I keep wanting to go to a number 2 🙈

Marie1990x · 28/04/2024 17:04

@Mumma8538 oh I hope that’s the case! I must have a short surge as the opk was basically invisible on Friday, so it was just by chance we actually caught a decent time of the month 🤞🏻

Nope was never offered a debrief, didn’t even realise it was a thing at the time, but not surprising as my postnatal care wasn’t great. His birth was traumatic and he ran into big trouble but the team were just incredible, and surprisingly it’s not that part that has left me traumatised, but the run up from contractions starting to when I was finally taken seriously and given an epidural. Will definitely seek some form of debrief or psychological support if I’m blessed with another pregnancy.

sorry you had to go through that as well, but glad you got the support after!
