I'm 2dpo and would love some company to get through the next couple of weeks!

I'm on cycle 6 ttc #2. I keep going between feeling really hopeful and optimistic to feeling really deflated and like it's not going to happen. Hoping to stay positive though!

@Daisyrobin123

Let us know how you get on. It's hard not to obsess it takes over doesn't it. I'm on month 1 ttc I tested 6dpo onwards saw a faint something day 7 and definitely 8! I'm now watching it to see if it disappears or I get a period. It's hard to think about anything else! 🙈

@Mumma8538 if you ovulated later your entire cycle will be that little bit longer (so AF will be due 12-14 days after you ovulated even if that makes your cycle length outside your norm).

Thank you, that’s very helpful to know as I wasn’t sure. I won’t expect AF just yet then… thanks again :)

I can def see something brewing on that bottom one. How many DPO are you?

Mumma8538 · 27/04/2024 10:45

Daisyrobin123 · 27/04/2024 07:48

I'm 8dpo now and might teat today (after saying I'd wait ha ha). I feel surprisingly chilled about it at the moment so hoping I stay that way.

I got into my head the other day that I don't want to spend my little boys toddlerhood being obsessed with ttc #2 and look back and think that's all I thought about. So trying to take the 'whatever will be, will be' approach!

Also this has been the most stressful year of my career (primary school teacher) and I think I've just resigned myself to the fact it's not going to happen while my body is this stressed. My colleague tried from February last year and didn't get pregnant until the August (summer holidays!)

Exactly this !!! I read this and really resonated with it… if it happens it happens but like you need to live the happiest life with my little girl!

they do say stress plays a big factor in trying to conceive so need to be more zen , which is easier said than done in life … did you end up testing ? You are the same DPO as me and I caved and was BFN for me.

On cd29, my app says im 13dpo but im convinced i ovulated on 17th/18th which would make me 10dpo. I am due af tomorrow as my cycles are 30 days so will test again tomorrow and wait to see what happens. I csn defo see something though xx

OnePinkDuck · 27/04/2024 11:33

@Xxfifixx89 i think I see the line! Fingers crossed for you!

3 DPO here and aiming to
hold out as long as possible. I’m finding this cycle far easier than the last. I symptom spotted everything possible from 2DPO last time 😂
To run you through TTC cycle 2:
2dpo and 3dpo - severe nausea (manifested to be a tummy bug)
3dpo severe fatigue and migraine (likely the tummy bug)
4dpo severe fatigue and insomnia
5dpo heart burn (which I’ve only ever had when pregnant, was probably a hangover from the tummy bug)
6dpo migraine and insomnia
7dpo vivid dreams and insomnia
8dpo migraine
10 to 11 dpo uterine pain and spotting (I somehow managed to convinced myself it was implantation)
and then low and behold 12 dpo - period

tested every day from d5 onwards (and sometimes twice a day), really can’t go through that stress again - was the weirdest cycle ever, but probably everything could have been explained by the infection.

so just trying to be way more chilled this month.

It's hard to stay positive when you really want something and some days I get a bit down about it but trying to change my perspective! I've told myself if it gets to a year then I'll allow myself to worry!

Sorry to hear it was a bfn, same here! Wasn't surprised though and therefore not disappointed. I feel nauseous today but I've felt like that in previous months and it didn't amount to anything! How are you feeling?

@Daisyrobin123 😂thanks I need it! I think just feeling normal is really helping.

Itonlytakesone · 27/04/2024 13:37

@Xxfifixx89

I think I can see it slightly on bottom one... maybe test again later this afternoon see if you can see it amy clearer! Mine showed 7dpo very slightly so I did another later that day and it was slightly more visible! I'm 11dpo now much stronger line clearly visible had left side ovary pains last two days now that's passed Hmm

Doesnt it get more diluted though as the day goes on? How long did you hold your urine for in the afternoon? Im at a wedding tonight and thinking shall I drink or shall I not🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

My personal outlook is I will drink normally up until a positive test but then I will stop. However, I had the occasional drink when I was pregnant with my son on special occasions a small handful of times (a small glass of wine or champagne), maybe treat it like that and have just one small glass of something extra yummy. As a small amount infrequently isn’t harmful (I was born in the generation where the medical advice was to drink a Guinness a day if you were iron deficient and I turned out alright) 😂

How long have you been trying now ? Did you try awhile with your first. We are only human and have emotions so can’t help feeling a bit down but I suppose it’s how you manifest it.

I didn’t feel disappointed either I think I would have been more shocked if it was BFP. I never really noticed nausea until starting TTc but it appears I get that most months.. I’m assuming it’s a hormonal thing as I’ve felt it just these last couple of hours but I’m like you and haven’t thought too much into it as has happened before .

will you test everyday now or do you think you’ll wait ?

This is cycle 6! It only took 3 months with my DS which felt like forever at the time but I know in reality that was nothing at all! What about you?

We sound like we are exactly the same with the nausea. It just seems to be something I get! I've also realised cramps are normal for me around a week before AF is due (something I used to hope wss implantation but now I know is just normal for me!)

I can't decide! What are you going to do?

OP posts:
Itonlytakesone · 27/04/2024 17:27

@Xxfifixx89

I know the wee dilute through the day but the way I see it is your pregnancy if there is one progresses more through the day so later on my line was more visible which I needed because the first test in the morning I was thinking I was seeing things.

As for the wedding I'd do another test then make a decision about the drinking. I'd had some the weekend after ovulation but as soon as any symptoms started (for me that was about 5/6dpo) I stopped drinking then because I just went off it which is definitely not like me!🤣

We have not been careful for the 6 months but it was only this cycle I started to track. With DS we feel right away with only DTD once… pure fluke I know!

cramping for me is the same I don’t pay attention to that either… ha we are exactly the same.

I might test again at 10DPO and then 12DPO you know keep it an even thing… or I’m completely lying and I’ll test again in the morning. Depends on how I feel in the morning 🙈

Hi everyone! Caught half way in the tww also, currently what i believe to be 8 dpo and I'm not sure if I've manifested symptoms! Currently not feeling ready to test as I don't want to see a bfn again 🙈

Currently cycle 4 ttc #2 😊

ChyLL · 27/04/2024 21:53

Hi, I notice this thread has been going for a while, hope it’s ok to jump in. I am 5/6dpo and I had fertility treatment so I know I ovulated on Monday 22nd April.

My last cycle I fell pregnant but unfortunately had a MC at 6 weeks. This TWW is so much harder as I’m comparing everything to last time when I got a positive.

Last cycle I had twinges when I got up too fast frequently from Ovulation and cramping on Ovulation day.. this time I’ve had no twinges and hardly any cramping… expecting the worst.

I know every pregnancy is different but anyone had similar? Lots of symptoms one positive and then nothing the next??

x

Xxfifixx89 · 27/04/2024 23:50

Orangelover · 28/04/2024 07:08

Can I join this 2ww chaos?

TTC number 1, first cycle so new to all this.

Told myself I really wasn't bothered and was just going to be chill and dtd around the right time and see what happened. Yeah.. you know the rest Blush Fast forward to today, I think I'm around 9dpo and dying to poas.

Do I just go for it.. or hold out a couple more days? Didn't realise how much I actually wanted this Blush DH is super excited too and is really hoping for a positive so I'm deliberately not talking about testing and being v low key about it because I don't want him getting his hopes up. I need to manage his expectations and keep reminding him it might take a few months or more Grin
