Would anyone like to join me on the TTC for March 2024

Going into my 3rd month TTC for my rainbow baby after a loss in 2007 at 7 weeks, I'm now 34 (35 in June) and TTC for our first baby with me and my DH

The last 2 cycles my body has played horrible tricks on me, so i have been keeping a log of my symptoms.

I'm not ready to do opks or bbt just yet trying to do natural and less stressful but did have 21 day bloods and day 3 bloods done and the results come back good, i do have PCO cysts in my ovaries and my DH has good sperm he had this tested last year.

Now in my DPO so confused as flo says ovulation today Premom had me ovulating on the 8th where I had my peak but think I missed the real peak as results said my peak is at 0.83 but now LH is going down.

I don’t really understand the figures and if 0.83 is even a good figure as last month my peak was 1.1

so now just got to wait and see

Herewegoagain0 · 09/03/2024 18:59

Hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday! Cd10 here - no sign of peak here yet on the OPKs. Was Cd11 in Jan and then Cd14 in feb after my chemical so who knows where we will be this month 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Ella31 · 09/03/2024 19:16

AF just arrived ladies and I'm only 10dpo. First month post loss was 9dpo , last month was 11 and today was 10. Is something wrong with me? 😢😢

I'm 4 months post partum since my loss but I thought I'd be pregnant again by now. I hate to sound so self absorbed as I know I'm so lucky to have carried my boys to 30 weeks and give birth to them, I just thought I'd get to bring them home with me 😢 I so desperately want to be a mother again.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 09/03/2024 20:49

Happy Saturday, everyone hope we all having a nice weekend

@Ella31 Sorry to hear that AF came are you sure it may not inplantation? Have you had a progestion blood test to see if you may be dropping levels too early?

@Herewegoagain0 Also 10dpo me today meant to be my fertile date with ovulation due anytime from the 12th to the 15th but still have the white/cloudy ECWM, i have noticed though via tracking my cycles on flo I can range from ovulating anywhere from cycle day 12 up to cycle day 18

Definitely not implantation, im 10dpo and blood is red. I'll do the progesterone test next month for sure

UnicornPrincessSarah · 09/03/2024 21:21

@Ella31 ah so sorry yes deff worth looking at your progesterone levels as if dropping to soon you may need some help for this

I just looked back at my notes prior to my twin pregnancy my lh phase was 10dpo so maybe that's just normal for me.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 09/03/2024 23:18

@Ella31 Ah ok I have heard some people do have a short Lh phase so could be normal for you

Hi everybody :)

Hope you're all doing well!
@Ella31 I've read your story and just want to say that I'm so sorry :( I really hope it happens soon for you!

I'm due to ovulate the 13th but I must be honest and say that I'm not confident for this month. My partner and I aren't in the best mood with each other these days due to a stressful situation at work and we've been fighting quite a bit so I can feel (and he's said) that it shouldn't be our priority to conceive this cycle but instead focus on eachother. However I still really hope there's a small chance it happens anyway, we dtd yesterday and the day before but can't say if we'll do it again the next few days..

Happy Sunday everyone!

@Ginny2018 thanks so much. I'm sorry you are struggling with your partner. The only consolation I can give you is, it's reassuring that he's wanting to connect with you and work on each other. Maybe sit down with him and explain where you are coming from. Xxx

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing ok and sending thoughts to anyone finding today hard. How are you doing today @Ella31 has AF arrived properly?

Mine finished today and I'm CD4 so thinking I start the ovulation tests in about 4 days time?

Hey @MelonSmoothie it did. Full swing. Cycle 4 for me now. I always start the opks the day it ends just for progression. Just the easy at homes though. I use clearblue a bit later as they are ridiculously expensive

MelonSmoothie · 10/03/2024 13:24

I really hope this is the cycle for you @Ella31 , you really deserve it x

Yeah the clear blue are SO expensive!! Kind of annoying in boots as well as they are cheaper with your advantage card but I don't particularly want them to know I'm buying that kind of thing and start spamming me with adverts for other stuff 🙄

YorkshirePeridot · 10/03/2024 15:38

@Ginny2018 don't feel bad if you need to take a month "off" from ttc, your relationship and both of your mental healths are important!

Hope everybody's having a good Sunday?

CD15 for me and got my static smiley! All systems are go, where is that husband of mine? 😆

Shortcake06 · 11/03/2024 21:12

Hello 👋
been a quiet week or so! Not had much to post about. Been keeping up with this thread though and I look forward to seeing everyone’s positive tests 🤞
I hope everyone is well and I look forward to reading updates

love and solidarity to everyone who found yesterday a tough day.
im now cycle day 12 and opk testing, no positive yet but my app is predicting Friday.
We are having sex every other day. I normally go for every day in the run up to fertile window but end up so exhausted that I’ve lost the will to live by the day after O 😂 thinking I should pace myself a bit more as maybe I’m missing it? Who knows but going to keep going for a few days after my peak this month 😵‍💫

UnicornPrincessSarah · 11/03/2024 22:55

@Shortcake06 Hi, hope you had a nice weekend, im also cd12 today supposed to be my fertile date flo predicts ovulation tomorrow and pre-mom predicts Friday so we will see, we have DTD every 3 days from when my period ended but Im hoping to change that to every 2 days for the fertile week, then back to every 3 days and stop 3 days before period is due as I don't do opk or btt

Not much else to update my end went to docs today but she was useless and no help my thyroid has gone from 1.55 to 3.28 still apparently a normal range so they are not worried but read should be under 2.5 for trying for baby and my ferritin is 40 normal is 30 to 400 so going to look into iron supplement as have a lot of food that contains iron but not rising enough really says should be 50 for ttc, its annoying as what they class as normal may not be normal for some people I'm always drained and no energy and feeling emotional. but according to gp everything is ok and I'm just making myself stressed for reading too much online and worrying.

Morning ladies slightly confused when going to toilet I passed quite a bit of CM clear watery and stringy. I tested my LH levels and it appears to be on the rise. But I have already ovulated.. according to Premom and the tests I’ve already done.

I did a hcg test and negative

Shortcake06 · 12/03/2024 08:55

@UnicornPrincessSarah oh cycle buddy!! Will see when we both ovulate, I was day 16 or 17 last month!
Every 3 days sounds more manageable. It’s hard when we are both working and have an energetic young child 🥴
Did your GP say if your free T4 was normal?
I take a small iron supplement daily that I bought from Amazon and on my last bloods my hb and iron studies were perfect. It’s called Lindens iron.
its a small dose of what the GP would prescribe for iron deficiency. If it helps I have been anaemic on and off my entire life and was found to be anaemic and when I fell pregnant with my first child.

Shortcake06 · 12/03/2024 08:57

@Rosyposy26 im not an expert but could it be that you didn’t ovulate on day8 and now your body is gearing up? Is day 8 normal for you?
I’ve had a cycle where I thought I ovulated earlier and then I got a peak at my usual time. However my body was a bit erratic after my miscarriage!

Edited

See I wonder if that is the case my period after mc was so light it wasn’t even anything but I had a much better peak in Feb than this one but was a bit erratic with testing this month. I had lots of EWCM around about the 8th and going on last month I’ve attached last months test so you can see. It’s all a minefield and confusing. 🫤

YorkshirePeridot · 12/03/2024 18:21

I assume it's been a bit quiet in here as everyone's keeping themselves busy in their fertile windows? 😆

Sorry to hear your gp wasn't very useful @UnicornPrincessSarah, sounds like an iron supplement could be a sensible idea.

I'm now 1dpo and headed into my tww. Have been spotting like mad for the last 24 hours which I'm trying not to worry about. It's certainly lighter flow than a period but very red in colour! I have been reading all about ovulation spotting so hoping that explains it.

YorkshirePeridot · 12/03/2024 18:24

@Rosyposy26 I'm no expert with opk strips as have never used them but I would keep testing. Another peak would definitely imply that the first attempt at ovulation didn't work and your body is having another go.

Custardcreammachine · 12/03/2024 18:59

Hi everyone, hoping everything is going well for you all. Day 12 for me today and already ticked off dtd days 9 and 11. Due to work we're probably only going to manage dtd in evenings for the next few days. If I ovulate in the morning would that reduce our chances?.I know sperm can last up to 5 days but Ideally, if I could, I'd be trying twice a day to make sure there's always some fresh there waiting. Do we still have a chance if we only manage evenings for the next week? Is there any evidence to suggest daily is better than every second day? We've gone daily for the past few months without success and now wondering maybe it affects things by reducing quality/quantity? Sorry I'm rambling!!

YorkshirePeridot · 12/03/2024 19:23

@Custardcreammachine I've actually read that every second day allows for higher sperm quality but then again I don't know if the studies have actually been done or if it's just the standard advice 🤷‍♀️ Either way I don't believe that time of day affects conception chances so try not to stress about that x

Custardcreammachine · 12/03/2024 19:35

Thanks @YorkshirePeridot I'll maybe have a nosey to see if I can find any more. It's just nerve wracking thinking you could so easily miss that small window if you don't time it to perfection and work just gets in the way!!
