Ovulating!

Hey everyone! Just looking for people ovulating around the same time as me to chat with! I got a high ovulation test today, assuming from other months that I’ll get my peak tomorrow! I do always get ovulation cramps so I can tell before I even test that I’m ovulating! I am getting really sharp pains in my left ovary so I’m wondering if there’s an egg coming from that side! I’ve never had these pains before! I’ve been TTC for nearly 2 years now.. I had a MMC in December of 2022, 2 chemicals in 2023 and then an ectopic on my c section scar in October/November! So this is the first month I’m allowed to TTC after getting methotrexate to treat the ectopic! I’ve been in a few other chats with people around the same dpo as me but they’re all now expecting! So excited for them! I’d love to hear everyone else’s stories ❤️

I am roughly about the same time as you. I thought I had my peak on Wednesday PM but did another test Thursday and it turns out that was my peak.
If I go by my app it says it was Thursday.
I seem to only get ovulation pain on the left side, never happens from the right 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have def ovulated as my CM stopped being egg white on Friday.

sounds like quite a journey you have been through, hoping you get your happy ending this month!

@Mumma8538 what app do you use? I use the Premom one! I love it!
yeah it’s been a long journey but I did forget to mention I also have a 3 year old LG!

I just use stardust it’s called, the pre mom one do you have to pay for it?

i had a chemical pregnancy in Dec and this is the first month we have TTC again due to being away.
when or do you start to take pregnancy test or do you just wait for missed AF? I am due on 7/3 and I’m normally bang on.

are you a symptom spotter ? I take note of all little symptoms , with my CP I have boob tenderness, cramping, nausea quite in my 2ww

@Mumma8538 oh I’ve never heard of stardust! With Premom you can pay for premium but I’ve always just used the free version! I use the easy@home ovulation tests and it’s the app that comes with them!
my cycles vary from 28 days up to 34 days so I never really know when my period is coming! I try so hard not to symptom spot bc a lot of my af symptoms are the same! I start to feel a bit nauseous and stuff before af so it’s so annoying! If I just symptom spot I convince myself I’m pregnant cause the signs are so similar 😂
I take way too many tests.. I start taking them daily from about 6dpo even tho I know they’ll be negative 😂😂 because I’ve had a few months break I’m gonna try very hard not to test until Atleast 10DPO!

It’s just a standard kind of tells you when you period is due and when suspected ovulating . When the standard pre mom can you upload the test strips and it tells you if you are peak? I don’t have an app that tells me I just kind of guess by the strength of the line.

oh snap we can drive our self’s crazy together. It seems the older I’ve got the more PMS are the same as early pregnancy .. so it gets very confusing. With my little girl I knew as my boobs were so tender but now, I see to get tender boobs from the moment I ovulate until my AF comes.

I think with testing it also gives you something to do, to the speed up the wait. Kind of torture hey !

@Mumma8538 yeah you scan the tests in! It’s handy because it tells you how many dpo you are and it changes your estimated period based on when you’ve ovulated which I find incredibly handy! These are my tests.. I assume today will be my peak and I’ll see a drop tomorrow! But I could be surprised and get an even stronger reading tomorrow!

I have those cheapy ones and didn’t download the app as I thought you had to pay ! But moving forward if not luck I will def download as I could be reading my test strips wrong . Funny looking at yours CD15 looks like a strong line but it actually says low.
do you DTD or make sure you DTD from like CD13 every day ?
how long after you peak do you ovulate as some people it’s like 8 hours and for others it can be 48? This is the confusing part as could be somewhen !

@Mumma8538 i normally don’t start testing until around cycle day 13 just because the earliest I’ve ever ovulated is cycle day 15 so I don’t really wanna waste the tests! But I know when I’m ovulating even without the tests because of cramps. Normally we’d DTD from the day of my first high test (this month day 16) but we actually didn’t even last night because our toddler was wide awake until nearly 3am 😂 so we DTD tonight and then I’m assuming my levels will drop tomorrow so we will DTD tomorrow and then possibly on Tuesday again depending on my levels! This is my fiancés fav time of the month 😂

And even if you DTD before you actually ovulate it’s fine sperm lives for like 6 days or something crazy like that 😂

@Jess1997 that makes total sense waiting to test until you know. How many months did it take you to get into the swing of testing ovulation. I’m all quite new to it.
no one want to DTD when their little one has been awake til the early hours … 3am… yikes did she think it was party time?
ha I bet it is his fav time of the month, my partner too… but I def have more of a high libido around ovulation .. so that helps!
it surprises me how long it can last it is crazy like you say!
I probably have notice my CM hasn’t dried up ( TMI) but I must say I don’t always monitor that so close… might be me just looking into things !

@Mumma8538 i defo didn’t learn everything overnight! The more months with our positive tests the more I learn 😂 in fact a year ago I didn’t have half the knowledge I have now! And I’m still learning! With my first we weren’t even trying 😂 but we’d been having unprotected sex for a year or 2 before I actually got pregnant! I just never thought anything of it. Honestly most months my libido is 0 when I’m not ovulating 😂 my fiancé always tells me I’m just using him as a sperm bank 😂😂
I never really monitor my CM but I have noticed there’s been ALOT this month! My tests were lower today so peak defo yesterday but they’re still considered high so gonna DTD today and tomorrow and cross everything

@Mumma8538 also I’m one of the lucky ones that gets ovulation cramps which defo helps with tracking! And once you start doing it every month you’ll really start noticing things about your cycle that you never noticed before!

@Jess1997 i think if we don’t fall, I really need to put more effort into tracking and symptoms as like you with my first I fell pregnant literally the first month. But I’m 39 this year and don’t think it will happen so easily now.
if I’m honest my libido is the same - my partner says the same 🤣 oh just using me to make babies !

in my little head , I think if you DTD all the time around ovulating then surly you are bound to get pregnant but it just doesn’t seem the case ( of that easy)

what’s the date you will start testing from?

@Mumma8538 My app says I’m ovulating today so I’ll test around 10DPO which is March 7th but honestly knowing me I’ll start testing sooner 😂😂 I have a few wee cheaply tests but when I get paid on Thursday I’m gonna order more reliable ones on Amazon and honestly they’ll take a few days to come then I’ll probably start testing because I’m addicted 😂😂
I had almost a full year of just tracking and DTD with no luck, but now my problem is I’ve been getting pregnant the pregnancies just haven’t worked 😂 my first MC in December 2022 I had gone for my 12 week scan and the baby was measuring 8weeks with no heartbeat. Then 2 chemical pregnancies after that then in October I finally got really strong positives and then I started bleeding a few days later.. but my tests were still positive after a week of heavy bleeding so I had to go to the EPU every other day for about 6 weeks because my HCG was rising but they couldn’t figure out why because they couldn’t find anything.. that’s when they started noticing something on my section scar! So I had to get methotrexate, not TTC for 3 months and then take a full month of folic acid before being allowed to try again! I cheated the system and started taking folic acid a month ago when I started to ovulate because the 3 months were almost up and it meant I’d have a month in me by the time I ovulated this month!

If this month is unsuccessful for me I’ll probably skip next month because I don’t love the thought of a Christmas due date! And knowing my luck it would be born on Christmas Day 😂

I always wanted a 2 year age gap but now I’ll be lucky if I get a 4 year age gap!

@Jess1997 have you seen or heard of positives coming up sooner than 10DPO? Testing is really addictive , I haven’t done it much as haven’t been trying for long but that will be me, I’ll get addicted .

im so sorry for your journey , its hard getting pregnant but the worry doesn’t go does it when you are pregnant . I have had a few MC, so I feel your pain.
what was it on your C section scar, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ll miss next month too as that’s how I feel, I will give birth on Christmas Day I just know it.

@Mumma8538 yes ive seen some people getting faint positives on 8dpo! And some don’t get positives until 15dpo! Super hard to know isn’t it!
they were kinda confused about my scar.. it was defo a baby because my HCG was slowly rising but it wasn’t viable! There was no shape or heartbeat or anything! I didn’t even know you could have ectopics on your scar 🙃🙃 just my luck lol. Wait to you see us both trying next month anyway and having Christmas babies 😂😂 I remember saying on a thread last March I’d be skipping cause I don’t want a Christmas baby and the amount of hate I got for saying that was nuts 😂

@Jess1997 our bodies are crazy things and these pregnancy test that can pick up super early are mental too. You think in years to come. It will be like the next day.. yup these test can tell if you are going to be pregnant by the next day 🤪

I never knew that was such a thing also having etopics on a scar, my head can’t work out how that even works but your body was clearly trying to get it to work.

it will probably be the month where we aren’t ‘trying’ and it happens 😬
hate… goodness me why! It’s your body you can choose when you want ttc or not!

Turns out ectopics are anywhere that isn’t where they’re supposed to be.. but the most common type is in the tube!
we just DTD again so here’s hoping 😂 I need to order tests on Amazon and I remember in October finding the best ones and I can’t remember if it was Premom or wondfo! But I have a feeling it was wondfo! They picked the lines up stronger than other ones

you are teaching my lots as I never knew that, I just thought was in the tubes!
I’ve not heard of wondfo, get some of those ready and waiting for you to test ! I have the easy @ home ones I’m sure they are called I can’t comment on them as I did a clear blue digital with my LG as was past when my AF was due, I remember it being negative at first then 2 days later it was positive so didn’t pick up right away.

@Mumma8538 I normally always use the easy@home ones but I wanted to try a few diff ones.. this pic is from October when I was pregnant! The pink one is wondfo and it’s clearest on it! My lines did get a lot darker than these also

@Jess1997 there is a big difference with those lines though isn’t there … literally trying to find wondo tests as we speak!
