Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@KittyFantastica how are you feeling today? How comes you are likely being made redundant? Have you been there long enough for a good redundancy package?

I'm in bits. Nothing is happening and it actually makes me feel worse.

I've only been in this job 18 months, so I'm entitled to nothing. And I left my last job because they were making people redundant!

Can I ask some advice from anyone who might have been through this?

My tests this morning was basically negative, there's barely a squinter. My first ever positive that was barely visible is darker than this morning's. I have zero symptoms. No sore nips, no nausea, no fatigue. The three days I had cramps and pelvic aches. Nothing at all since.

I phoned EPU and they said they can't advise because I have no pain or bleeding?! I asked them to give me a rough guide for what I should expect in the next few days and they refused saying I should just take a test in a week's time. There's no bloody line there now! How am I supposed to wait a week to find out what's going on?

I'm in bits. I just want to know what to expect in the coming days so I can try and prepare myself. Can anyone else this has happened to provide just a short timeline from when their tests started failing to the worst happening?

@Mummysparrow Yep same - I do also worry that stress from work will impact our chances sometimes, but we can only do what we can do. Hope you're okay!

Ok so update from me is I got my peak yesterday so should be ovulating today. Annoyingly I can’t confirm with bBT as have had a temperature 🙄 DTD yesterday & will tonight & tomorrow…trying out the SMEP🤞🏼🍀anyone else currently ovulating?

@4LeafCloverBaby got my OPK peak last night. Husband poorly so no DTD last night, and we’re out tonight so not sure if we’ll have time to DTD either!!

hypothetically…if the only time I DTD is 36 hours after my positive OPK, could we still be in with a chance?

@KittyFantastica I wanted to post separately to say thinking of you and sorry for the crap you’re going through - these things always seem to happen at once don’t they.

I’ve not been made redundant, but have a few pals who have - most of who switched careers or started something independently. However when you’ve got a mortgage to pay it’s not always that practical an option. Fingers crossed for you that something comes up and you can transition into a new job fairly quickly ❤️

@KittyFantastica thinking of you, it’s so so hard ♥️ Didn’t want to read and run. With both of my chemicals my tests went lighter then to pretty much negative around the 4.5 week mark. A day or two later I had a heavier than normal period, for me they were heavier for the first couple of days but didn’t last any longer than a normal period, not sure if that’s the same for everyone. @FantasticalCat It depends…before you did your test last night…when did you do the previous test to that one? If it was the night before then you may have peaked yesterday morning but didn’t test until the evening 12 hours later…you will ovulate 24-36 hours after your peak but if you peaked 12 hours before you tested & got your peak then you have to take 12 hours off of that…so you would ovulate 12-24 hours after. If you ovulated on the 24th hour after you got your peak & then your egg lived the full 12 hours then that is the 36 hours but if not then no…does that all make sense or am I waffling?! Lol x

Just wanted to say thank you all so much for the support. I haven't responded to everyone as there's so many lovely messages. I got the information I need, and I'm officially done because bleeding has now started.

I've no idea if this counts as a period or what, it's not something anyone teaches in sex ed. There's so little taught about what happens once conception takes place.

Anyway, I don't know if we will try again quickly or not, it's all feeling very raw for now.

Sort of, I think you’re saying I’m in with a chance if I DTD today but given I don’t know when the peak started, worst case scenario the egg has already gone?

I test between 4-6pm in the evenings. Anything you can tell from my chart?

@FantasticalCat yes exactly 👌🏼 super worst case scenario the egg was gone by 7pm tonight but that would have meant peaking like half an hour after your test on CD19 which I reckon (although I’m absolutely no expert, I just read a lot) didn’t happen as your read was quitelow for CD19…but then again it depends how quickly you surge. It’s a bloody minefield all of this but I think you are still in with a good chance of you DTD asap…like now 👉🏼 👶🏼💃🏻🕺🏻😊🤞🏼🍀

@4LeafCloverBaby urghhh I feel like I'm going crazy ahah😹 I usually get bad pains before period but I've had none and I'm 3 days away from period. I'm super gassy, my vaginal walls are so tight which is not something I have noticed before but other than that.... nothing, I've done tests but they are negative but they are only cheapies and I'm probably still only 9/10dpo. How's it going your end with the ovulation? xx

@Lowrilawson hi hun, I bet it’s driving you crazy! I had the tight/thick vaginal walls just before my period 2 months ago but then last month I didn’t have it so go knows. I’ve actually come down with the flu which is super annoying 🙄 But I got my peak yesterday & managed to DTD last night & night before & will tonight so 🤞🏼🍀
the first part of the month goes so quick got me but I know this next 2 weeks is really going to drag! x

@4LeafCloverBaby I am praying that this is your month! My cervix is high again, sometimes hard sometimes soft depending on the day. I've got a lot of discharge but I get it quite a lot so meh. Just the gas and no pains is odd has some in my back yesterday but gone now xx

@4LeafCloverBaby @FantasticalCat Maybe tomorrow with a cheapie. I do want to wait until AF but I doubt I will but I'll only go out and get frer if I'm late for my period xx
