How are we all doing?

I don't know if it's just me being tired, but I don't feel hopeful this month at all. I'm only 6/7 DPO, but I just d9nt feel anything. I found last month very draining, but was so hopeful that it was our month, then AF arrived. I was so sad.

Don't know what the point of writing this is. Just feel no hope this month. We shall see! Baby dust x

Hiya! I’ve been following this thread as have a similar cycle (ovulated on 6th Nov) so thought I’d hop on if that’s ok! How is everyone doing? Really feel for you @TrishyLou1111 - I’m counting down the days and feeling hopeless too. Esp as I’m having what I think are the first signs of menstrual cramps today. Also I think I have a short luteal phase (ovulated day 17 but sometimes have AF on day 24), so this month I’m really hoping that if AF does come, it’ll at least be closer to 28 days! V early on this journey so trying not to stress about every little thing (too late!)

Goldendoodlelover · 14/11/2023 21:05

Hi @TrishyLou1111 , really sorry to hear you’re feeling down. It’s so bloody hard. I think I’m 8DPO today, trying to hold out testing until Friday at least. I also have no symptoms at all (have an achey wisdom tooth so that’s distracting me from thinking about much else!) but I’m trying to tell myself that there is no point in symptom spotting because if I had pregnancy symptoms that would mean I had higher levels of hcg which would mean a bfp and if it’s too early for a bfp then it’s too early for pregnancy symptoms. I have no idea if that logic actually holds though! I also have read loads of posts where people had absolutely no symptoms at all when they got their bfp so don’t count yourself out just yet!

TrishyLou1111 · 14/11/2023 21:38

I'm probably just tired and grumpy.

It's the first month tracking with OPKs and I don't know why but I feel like because i did everything right, I SHOULD get my BFP this month and I know that's really not the case or how things work.

I'm still trying to learn my cycle, I ovulate around day 15 or 16. I previously thought it was around day 11 (no idea how I came to this conclusion), so because we tracked and I got my peak, I've had this mindset that I WILL be pregnant. I think tracking so relentlessly can be detrimental but is also needed to follow our cycles properly. We can't win!

I've also read about ladies having nothing and getting their BFP too so fingers crossed!! It's so good having this safe space to vent.

I'm going to try my very best to hold out from testing, I'm due AF on the 22nd, so we shall see!

I hope you're all okay and thank you all xx

Testing tomorrow. No symptoms anymore. Though I have felt tired, but then I work and run after a toddler.

I do agree all the testing and timing makes TTC stressful. If I have anymore I hope I'll be able to take a more casual approach.

Well took a test this morning and spotted a faint line. Went to Boots and got an early detection, and it also looks like a positive. More obvious in person but pics below for reference:

Congratulations that's amazing ❤️❤️❤️

@TrishyLou1111 I know how you feel, it’s so frustrating when you feel it ‘should’ happen. I’m so sure I know I’m ovulating - has been confirmed by BBT, OPKs, day 21 tests, everything and I am so certain I DTD around the right time and it still doesn’t work. It’s infuriating!

@Outliers congratulations that definitely looks like a second line!! How many DPO are you?

Outliers · 15/11/2023 11:47

@Favofit thank you both very much! 😊

I thought I was 12DPO, but I think I might actually be 11DPO upon reflection

happymum1001 · 15/11/2023 12:12

Hi ladies! how is everyone?

im literally delusional 🥴😂 I tested this morning, I got my peak opk a week ago so I think I’m 6/7dpo. Obviously negative, I sat squinting at it for 10 minutes taking pictures with flash etc on😭 this is the earliest I’ve ever tested don’t know what came over me🥲

Sconehenge · 15/11/2023 13:01

Hello! Can I join! I am 7dpo and keep checking my natural cycles app and counting the dpos incase I’m magically further along like an absolute nutter 😂😂 feeling less insane and much more namaste than last month though for some reason which is good 🙏🏼 although give me 2-3 days and we shall see if this holds up lol

happymum1001 · 15/11/2023 13:03

Hi lovely! I’m the same I’m 6/7dpo but I’m not so chill this month🫣 so incredibly impatient this month. How long have you been ttc for? X

KLK94 · 15/11/2023 13:17

Hey guys. I was in the October TWW chat before, no luck obviously. This cycle I was quiet disheartened and distracted. Was the first one I didn’t track my ovulation (have been for 3 months for the hospital for infertility checks) as I was having bloods done to confirm ovulation and my mind was totally elsewhere, I barely opened my Flo app to track any symptoms from the month….. predicted ovulation on the 3/11
Monday afternoon I had 1 light pink spotting when I wiped, was very weird, so I put that in my app and it said could be implantation, I shrugged at it and told it some swears 😂 this morning I tested as I’ve had some weird feeling cramp type pains and I think I’m pregnant
5 and a half years later

@KLK94 congratulations lovely!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Sconehenge · 15/11/2023 13:40

@happymum1001 for 5 months so not too bad - and I have to say some of those months were some pretty relaxed drinking in the sun months so not the best for ttc I imagine. But this month I have been IMMENSELY sensible and laying off the booze and force feeding DP COQ10 lol so 🤞. How about you?

Strong lines there, massive congratulations! Hope it continues to grow and flourish

Goldendoodlelover · 15/11/2023 14:56

@Outliers That’s so exciting, 🤞🤞🤞🤞 you see a nice line progression!

@Sconehenge don’t worry I am literally in the same boat. I’m 9DPO today I think and I just couldn’t bring myself to test yet as they are so expensive but for some reason I ended up cracking this morning and trying out a cheapie OPK that I had as apparently they can go positive if they detect hcg rather than lh but it was obviously stark negative and made me feel crap so I don’t know why I did it!

@KLK94 huge congratulations!! 5+ years is a bloody long time (I’ve been trying for 11 months and am already sick of it) so chuffed for you! Did they ever get to the bottom of your infertility checks? I’m wondering what tests to go for next…

KLK94 · 15/11/2023 15:33

@Goldendoodlelover
thank you. Still doesn’t feel real.
no they didn’t, I had my last blood test last week 😂 was waiting for a scan to check my tubes. But seems I might not need that.
yes it’s been a long time coming, my daughter was 2.5 years.
I think I read somewhere that couples ttc on average take 12 months.
my best friend hit that criteria and fell pregnant in her 12th month, she’s now 9 weeks, so don’t be disheartened, everything happens for a reason

Goldendoodlelover · 15/11/2023 15:50

@KLK94 Yeah I think my next stage is a HSG/Hycosy to check my tubes. Yeah I think I’ve lost a bit of perspective - everyone I know personally seems to have either gotten pregnant in the first 3 months of trying or has needed like 4 rounds of IVF, there’s no in between! So I find it really heartening to hear stories of people who were trying for around a year and got a bfp naturally!

happymum1001 · 15/11/2023 18:12

@Sconehenge that’s not too bad, I’m on cycle 9 now. Hoping this is the month for us🤞🏽 I feel so sick today but maybe it’s all in my head 😂 thought being in work until 10pm tonight would distract me but clearly not lol

TrishyLou1111 · 15/11/2023 19:37

Infuriating is an understatement. It's like my body is doing everything it should... but sperms doesn't want to meet egg, haha.

I suppose I can not moan because I have 4 beautiful children that I am so grateful for, but it's still difficult when you're trying.

One of my apps says 7DPO, and one says 8. I'm going by the 7 one as I think that one is more likely, so fingers crossed!

How are you feeling? ☺️

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well!

Congrats on the BFPS already this month! Super exciting... and good luck for all of us awaiting our fate! Baby dust to you all! Xx
