How long did it take you?

With our first it took us a year and a half. Now trying for our 2nds baby and in our third cycle ttc.
With a 20% chance isn't there is a likelihood of conceiving within 4 months for normal couples? How long did it actually take you?

1st - 3 year - IVF - 2 MC - 1 DC
2nd - 4 month - natural conception

Became pregnant first month when I was 24 years old, now I am 40 and I have been trying for approximately 9 months. 😕

We were down as unexplained infertility.
So felt we had a tiny chance to try ourselves. I didn't want to do IVF again tbh, 3 cycles took a lot mentally.
We were really surprised how quickly it happened.

Been ttc our first for 11 months now, no luck. DH and I have had a fertility MOT and all scans have come back normal, so just been told to keep trying 🤷‍♀️

Nearly two years ttc our son, no miscarriages or anything luckily, it just seemed to take ages to even get that positive! We’ve now been ttc for about a year and a half for dc2 and nothing yet.

Currently a bloomin long time!
2.5 yrs with my ex, ended in MMC
6 months with current partner, ended in MMC (off contraception for 18 months but only actively trying for 6). Been 3 months of trying since the loss, no luck yet.

So 7 years since the first month I ever actually "TTC" and no babies yet!

@moosey89 I totally relate to you! Over 2 years with my ex and coming up to 18 months with my fiancé. A break of a year or more in between when on contraception. Although I must say, we have had a chilled approach off and on - so realistically only been DTD successfully for around 8/9 months. Had 1 chemical in that timeframe which was a surprise! Lasted a few days.
No children yet! The process seems endless 🙃 referred for IVF though so fingers crossed…

With my first baby I conceived on my first cycle.

With my second pregnancy I conceived on my first cycle again but sadly miscarried at 8 weeks.

It then took me another 9 cycles to get pregnant again.

Age 34 I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks.

3 months later I was pregnant with DS

With DD I got pregnant immediately which was 9 months after DS was born

3rd 43yrs old - been ttc 2yrs with no luck

I’m currently on cycle 16 and still nothing. We missed some in between so technically this is cycle 12 or 13.

Second child already pregnant whilst deciding to start Aged 28

My first pregnancy was two months which sadly ended in mc. Caught again two months later and had my lovely little boy. We’re trying for a second now, approaching sixth cycle with no luck xx

First time - unwanted pregnancy at 22.
First time - wanted pregnant at 28 with same partner.
Now 30 will be trying for 2nd child once my period ends. Fingers crossed we're lucky again.

Glad you've got your IVF referral - how long did it take from GP to first fertility clinic appointment, and then also to get your IVF referral? Hopefully you can get your BFP soon!

Took two years. One miscarriage at 5 weeks and a couple of chemicals. I was 38 when we started.
We have the most gorgeous ten month old girl now.
Hard to be relaxed and positive, but it was all worth it.

4 years. Started trying at 40 - 4 miscarriages in that time. Now have an 11 month old, had him just before I turned 44. Please older ladies look into taking COQ10 and I can totally recommend preseed fertility lubricant to all - game changer for me. One year and nothing and caught on second cycle after trying it
