TWW and symptoms

I tell myself every month I will wait for my missed period before taking a test and I will not symptom spot because it just always ends in tears. Yet here I am again and after scrolling through many other people's threads, I'm now starting one of my own. So we have been ttc for well over a year now, I had depo out last August.

I'm now 10dpo. I had some bleeding (just a wipe on 5po and enough for a panty liner but not full on 6po - sorry for tmi). I've got a reallt sore throat and my joints having been aching for about a weak, especially my right knee. I've been feeling a bit dizzy and have had lower back pain and cramps. Tested last night (9dpo) and this morning and both stark bfn. I guess I just want to know if this points in the direction of maybe bfp or if I should go to drs. I'm hoping to find some people in the same boat!

Morning everyone- i am now 4dpo, i have already done test and obviously it was negative which i knew it would be. I honestly don't know why i did it as it only makes you feel disappointed even though i know its going to happen as its too early!!
I have the usual pre AF symptoms which i know can be linked closely to early pregnancy symptoms so trying to stay positive.

Hi @Beccylou94 - I know what you mean about doctors - it’s not their fault like you say, they are overworked and you never have enough time with them but it can also mean that you feel you are being dismissed, especially as a woman! I actually had meningitis when I was 19 and was repeatedly dismissed by my GP as just having freshers flu, and I always wonder if they would have tested me more seriously and realised just how ill I was if I hadn’t been young and female! How come your app has changed? I wouldn’t despair too much - sperm can live up to 5 days and I think pinpointing your ovulation day exactly is always guesswork - even if you get a positive opk that only suggests ovulation will happen in the next 12-48 days and then the egg can survive 12-24 hours again which actually gives you quite a large window?

Hi @SpreadBabydust2023 - the photos are quite blurry for me so I wouldn’t want to say! Do you know when you ovulated? You could always go to your gp and ask for a blood test? Fingers crossed it’s good news for you!! 🤞🤞

Hi @Goldendoodlelover ,Oh yes 100% as a woman, the same as a mom. Omg that's awful! I hope there was no long term affects because of that. Sometimes when I input ovulation test or bbt it changes when it thinks I've ovulated. Yes but I hadn't had sex in like a week because of illness :( we are on a whole new game now because still bfn but strongest positive on opk since starting to test over a year ago today. 16dpo of original predicted cycle and 8dpo of this new one and they both might be wrong?!

Is there a definite line? It looks quite spread out. Have you tested again since?

@Beccylou94 I can see a second line!! I’m not sure how evap lines work (as I’ve never even got one of them) so I guess keep testing but for now that looks really promising!! 🤞do you think this is 8dpo of your ‘new’ cycle? If so that is super early so might explain why the line is so faint?

@Goldendoodlelover So when I've looked before at posts the evap line is colourless apparently? Ooh perhaps it is, I was getting a bit concerned that it was so faint for like 17dpo. I'll keep testing and crossing fingers

I've taken clear blue since that last test and got all bfn so I think I'm out :( but because of my app changing its mind I could also be like 6po so who knows what's going on?! I get that it's just all a looong waiting game

Are your cycles usually long?

I'm on cycle day 12 and have just got my static smiley. I'm new to all of this, though.

Long story short, due to medication, my partner takes ages to ejaculate. Like agggeeeessss. Especially when we go at it a lot (it doesn't take as long as we give it a few days between). We have purposely waited until peak this time, so we get the best possible chance of conceiving and not DTD for 17 hours. 😆

My question.. do we start DYD now, or wait a couple more days til peak?

I don't want to get to peak and him struggle to ejactulate because we've been going for days. I think the pressure of him needing to will make it worse.

Out of the past 5 4 have been long. Need to go drs really. I'm not familiar with the digital tests, only the pink dye ones. Does static mean high or peak or what? That is a hard decision to make. Guess you just might have to take a couple of months to work out when is best?

I’m currently CD13, getting lots of signs of ovulation - am trying not to obsessively track and test this month (easier said than done!) and just DTD when we feel like it but not looking forward to the dreaded TWW. Am about to go for lunch with another friend who has just announced her pregnancy as well - feel like I am surrounded by pregnant women and am just like when will it be me!!

I just the dr will actually do something. I've had some bleeding yesterday and today but only like a browny pink tinge when wiping (sorry for tmi). That sounds like a really healthy approach. I hope it works and keeps it less stressful. Aww that's really hard :( fair play to you. I did nct and out of 8 2 have had a 2nd already (our little ones are all 2) 1 is pregnant due in Jan, and 3 of us are trying or about to for a 2nd. It's everywhere haha

It can be a tiring game, can't it?

I had my peak yesterday. I'm pretty sure I ovulated either yesterday afternoon or this afternoon (similar pains and EWCM).

We managed to DTD last night successfully. (My partner struggles to finish due to his medication) and tonight to no avail. I'm just hoping it was enough.
