I am beyond shocked considering our first baby was conceived via IVF.
I'm 2 days late and been getting negatives on cheapies . Took this FRER with second wee of the day. Just so worried why it's so faint? What does everyone think?

You are pregnant.

Digital need a much higher hcg count to get a positive, so will read not pregnant when you're getting + dye tests.

You'll always get a + on pink dye first.

Do another digital in 48 hours. I bet you anything it's positive.

All those test lines look great!

Be patient.

If you look at the box the weeks indicators are now as sensitive as the early digis. They did used to be 25miu but are now 10miu.

Was it an early digital test or the normal one? Normal one needs a higher hcg level.

It wasn't an early it was a weeks indicator one. You'd just think I was due on Monday so would so by now.

I got a negative digi after positive pink dyes and she's nearly 3 now.

were your lines as faint as mine though? With my son the lines were so strong it was no mistaking it

So why 6 months ago did I spend 3 days (from 13dpo to 16dpo) getting faint positives on every kind of stick test available and 'not pregnants' on digital.

Then on day 4 I got pregnant?

Olika · 13/10/2023 07:04

Maybe the digital one is not sensitive enough. It would be weird that all previous tests showed lines.

TheBirdintheCave · 13/10/2023 07:25

@LikeABanana I don't know but it's here on their info sheet.

https://uk.clearblue.com/sites/default/files/cb9brochuree_hcp.pdf

1-2 weeks registers at 10miu according to the chart.

It did used to be 25miu. I'm not sure how long ago they changed it.

Swirls346 · 13/10/2023 07:34

Is this negative too? I'm not gonna test till tomorrow now Cus it's driving me mad!

I can see a very faint line. I would suggest to give it a few more days and then test again.

LikeABanana · 13/10/2023 07:54

I think you need to step away from the tests. Wait until Monday morning.

Then you'll have your answer without all the guessing.

Plan some nice weekend distractions.

You are definitely right. I've never been one of those people that tests loads either 🙈. Just not knowing has sent me into over drive. First pregnancy was ivf and only did a couple of tests but I knew I was pregnant because it was a definite line,

I know it's really hard to do, but stop testing. You have had several positive tests and so are pregnant.

The strength of the line shouldn't matter. I tested excitedly for the first week or so, and always had feint lines; I was carrying twins! So pay no head to the colour of the line, just whether there is a line or not. I have no idea whether the lines ever got stronger as I didn't test again after the first week or so.

Step away from the tests and plan some distracting things for the next few days xxx

Thank you, I do appreciate that. Luckily I have a very active toddler boy to distract me plenty 🤪 and he's only 21 months so keeps me on my toes lol. What will be will be. Thanks everyone for the support though. It does help xx

Just another one saying I had faint lines for the first 3/4 days and negative on any Clearblue tests as well. They came up positive a bit later on, as PPs say, they are less sensitive. I would try to stay positive OP, would be unusual to get so many false positives...

How many days past ovulation did they come up strong? I was due on Monday you'd think they'd be blazing positive by now.

Just an update - started bleeding this afternoon and quite bad cramps. I knew something wasn't right with the faint lines. I guess this is a chemical ?

Aw so sorry, same thing as me. It's gutting. 🥺

TheBirdintheCave · 13/10/2023 15:48

@Swirls346 If it helps at all, I had a chemical in July (first IVF FET) and got pregnant in August with a naturally conceived surprise.

Fingers crossed it happens for you too! I think you're meant to be more fertile after a chemical. X

Thank you ! That does help. To be honest I have a lot of hope considering we had ivf for our first pregnancy after 18th months of trying. It just shows that at least I can get pregnant naturally. 🙏 how many weeks are you now?is it your first?

Just been taking pre conception vitamins and vitamin D. I am still breast feeding if that made a difference I don't know.

@Swirls346 I'm 9+1 today. This will be my second (hopefully!). Fifth time I've been pregnant but I had recurrent miscarriage after I had my son.
