These are pregnancy tests and not OPKS and a few of them look positive ?

Yes sorry that’s what I mean! The opks are still showing as blaring positives but each of the pregnancy tests I’ve taken since last night aren’t showing any kind of line - only pregnancy test pic up. The first 5 that are positive are all from the same pee collection ( sorry tmi!)

i was wondering if the broken line could mean it’s just faulty or likely hood of it being a chemical and that’s why nothing is showing up now

I’ve only ever been pregnant once before which resulted in a loss at 10 weeks. I had a digital positive at 9dpo then so I just have no idea what is going on right now and I have no clue where I could be in my cycle either

Swirls346 · 17/12/2023 11:29

Sorry I see what you mean now @Crazybear91 !
Hmm maybe a chemical? Or maybe just to early to pick it up properly.
Can you get any FRER and do a test tomorrow morning? When is your period due?

Crazybear91 · 17/12/2023 11:35

@Swirls346 god this is so confusing isn’t it! That’s a good idea I’ll grab a FRER and test again later today and tomorrow.

No idea when my period is due because I have really irregular cycles with my pcos, I also didn’t have a temp rise when I thought I would have ovulated so just chalked this month up to my body failing on me yet again and gave up temping / tracking. I couldn’t even think back to when we might’ve caught if it was a positive as we’ve both been so busy with work we haven’t had much time!

Have you (or anyone) ever had a positive opk but not yet a positive preg test?

bubballoo · 17/12/2023 11:43

@Crazybear91 never had a positive OPK before a pregnancy test. But women with PCOS tend to have a higher base level of LH. So that plus an early pregnancy (i.e. a small amount of HCG) could be confusing the OPKs.

Definitely test again with a Frer/ boots early pregnancy test. And DTD just in case it is ovulation not a pregnancy!

Crazybear91 · 17/12/2023 11:56

@bubballoo thank you! Just going to try to go about my day without having a meltdown!

Beccylou94 · 17/12/2023 13:18

@Crazybear91 when I've had broken line ones before people have always told me that it's a faulty test. I hope that isn't true for you

Crazybear91 · 17/12/2023 13:20

@Beccylou94 That's what I thought but to get 5 in a row threw me off!

@Crazybear91 what brand are these?

Crazybear91 · 17/12/2023 16:56

@Beccylou94 premom, thought they were one of the better ones. I’ve also done a clear blue digital early and got a negative, the only thing I can think of is that I was so dehydrated, had a few drinks and had to hold my wee for so long last night that it must have been really concentrated.

I have something dodgy for lunch and threw up everywhere once I got home, the mind plays horrible tricks when it wants to doesn’t it. Also starting to get loads of tummy cramps so expecting period to start asap.

@Crazybear91 So I had 2 false positives with pre mom last month (which is why I asked) I ended up complaining and they sent me more tests to replace the faulty batch. Unfortunately lots of people have been getting false positives with them recently. I hope yours are real. I got a really short weird period about 2 days after I got my second false positive . Fingers crossed for you, maybe use fmu and use a non pre mom, lots of people recommend using frer.

pinkpetunias · 17/12/2023 18:39

This is my first month after having my mirena coil removed on 8 December, I’ve not been doing it daily only BBT but my BBT jumped today (to 36.22 from 35.82 yesterday) so did an OPK. Is this what I’m meant to be looking for? I have no idea how dark it’s meant to get? These are femometer tests.

ThelastRolo20 · 17/12/2023 20:24

@MrBigsCat that's so difficult! I think I see something but it'd be so faint my eyes may be playing tricks! @pinkpetunias that's looking good! The lines are meant to be the same strength but I find it hard to catch it as I get a rapid peak and decline. Between that and BBT I'd say you're ovulating in the next day or so! Good luck

MotherOfShihTzus · 20/12/2023 11:02

Weird one for me; was due to have an embryo transfer last Tuesday; devastatingly, we got there to find that the embryo had died 😔 hiwever, the previous week in the prep scan I was told I couldn't proceed as I had a large follicle and could ovulate. So - we tried naturally and it turned out we were going ahead with transfer - but then cos the embryo died, we couldn't go ahead. Am I nuts to think we still might have conceived naturally? I've had a light brown 'bleed'/ discharge since Saturday which I'm now thinking could be implantation bleeding... and now this; the bottom test is hcg and top is ovulation strip - to help line up the lines. Is the lower hcg test positive?!

When did you have a trigger shot? This releases hcg hormone and can be picked up 10 days after you've had it. X

MotherOfShihTzus · 20/12/2023 13:19

@Swirls346 no trigger - would have been an FET. Was on oestrogen, stopped a week ago and tested negative since Saturday x

GHJ · 20/12/2023 15:38

I'm not going mad am I? We've been trying for 8 months, I'm only 8dpo very much bfn this morning. But thought I'd test again this afternoon just had a funny feeling and my pee was a lot more concentrated. This line has got darker as it's dried first pic is straight away at the end of the time, second is a bit after. I know these can be bad for false positives but I've never had even a glimmer of hope before and been through a fair few boxes over the last few months. I'm trying not to get carried away so please feel free to bring me back down again!

@GHJ replied to you on the other thread. Definitely see a line but had 2 false lines on these last cycle have lost faith in wondfo now and always found them so reliable
I hope this is it for you!!

Hello ladies,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Fingers crossed 2024 is our year 🤞

I know, I know. I shouldn't test but I was surprised that I ovulated this month (I think!) given what happened 👏

8DPO and sure I can see an almost squinter? What do you think 🙈 inverted 2nd pic.

My New Year's resolution I hear you ask... stop POAS 🤣🤣

@humanwinginglife let's be honest...no one on this thread could stick to that NY resolution 😂 embrace the early testing! Saying that I can't decide if I see something or not...it's too faint to be considered a positive I reckon but check again in a couple of days for sure! X

MrBigsCat · 29/12/2023 19:04

@humanwinginglife i say this every month!!
im not sure what i can see yet but im looking forward to your test tomorrow
2024 will be our lucky year!! 🤞🏻

@humanwinginglife I'm usually quite good at seeing lines but can't see one for sure yet.

Glad you're back with us after the faint line mess!

I'm just behind you at 7dpo. Tested earlier today with very dilute colourless wee and BFN obviously. I've been having some symptoms the last couple of days - uterus stabbing pains + nausea + dizziness and thought that might result in a very early BFP for some reason.

Confusedddddddd · 29/12/2023 22:40

I'm loosing the plot. BDN earlier and could see something which I put down to line eyes.
Looked at the test again and not entirely convinced it was line eyes. Probably just an indent though, as very unlikely to get anything at 7dpo. Will test again tomorrow.

BFN not bdn

It's not possible to test positive at 7DPO tbf

Confusedddddddd · 30/12/2023 08:06

@Outliers I tested positive with DC1 on the morning of 8dpo so no not completely impossible.
Also there have been plenty of faint positives at 7dpo in these forums.
