@Longtobe2023 thank you! Yeah it's so hard isn't it? I'll definitely let you know how it all goes. It feels good to have some forward momentum in getting help sorted, just frustrating waiting for a couple more months to see someone! I hope your phone appointment goes well, is that with the GP?x

Longtobe2023 · 27/09/2023 17:01

@moosey89 yea it’s with the GP, they did my bloods about 1.5 years ago as I wasn’t having periods and they couldn’t confirm if I was ovulating then they randomly started again (after 4 years in total) then my LH strips were showing peaks so I was over the moon. Fell pregnant in May (not trying as I didn’t think it would happen) and had a MMC. I just feel like my body doesn’t work like it should as we DTD fri, sat, sun every week as he works away. The last 2 months we’ve been off the same week as ovulation so not missed the chance and it just feels like it’s my body that just isn’t meant to conceive or carry as he already has a DD.

Im finding I’m becoming bitter at those that don’t deserve children having them to only get them taken off them and then there’s people like us that would do anything in this world to be given a chance.

right no more ranting from me lol sorry! Hope your day has gone good and how are you feeling?

Dan521 · 27/09/2023 17:25

@Longtobe2023 it may be worth mentioning giving clomid a try if it is an option at one of your appointments. Apparently it regulates your cycles and helps release more viable eggs. Think they can give further medication as well if you was to become pregnant to keep the pregnancy going.

moosey89 · 27/09/2023 17:32

@Longtobe2023 ah I'm sorry that sounds super stressful! It's so frustrating when your body doesn't feel like it's doing what it's meant to! Hopefully they can at least put you forward for some more tests and maybe some intervention like clomid as pp said. (I fell pregnant in May and had an MMC too).

I'm doing ok - made it to Amsterdam! Took the train from London and it was great, so much easier than flying and less stressful! Few days away with a friend to forget allllll about the attempt at baby making 🤣

Dan521 · 28/09/2023 00:29

Im so sick of the tww. Every month when af arrives I tell myself I won’t obsess again but every time I do. I’ve just had a shooting pain through my butt hole and here I am on google “does pain in the ass mean I’m pregnant” oh lawd give me strength!

OP posts:
Longtobe2023 · 28/09/2023 06:10

@Dan521 im exactly the same 😂 I end up reading stories from 2015, YouTube Chanel’s and then convince myself this tiny symptom is pregnancy! If it doesn’t work out this month then I’m just going to track ovulation and everything else is stopping before I drive myself mad, we’ll unless the doctors decide to help then I’ll probably be just as obsessive lol

@moosey89 hope you have a brilliant time in Amsterdam, I’ve always wanted to go so very jealous right now :)

Dan521 · 28/09/2023 08:39

My easy@home tests are from this months ovulation stick box so they’re a new batch. I’ve done two of them to see if they give any false positives as it would be too early for a bfp and both were negative as they should be. Hopefully this box gives reliable results.

Roses5678 · 28/09/2023 08:57

Hello is it OK if I join this thread?
I'm currently 5dpo, ttc no.1 been trying for about 15 months now

Had a chemical earlier on this year, and some false positives last month.
Currently waiting on my day 21 blood results, had to repeat as they were "borderline" last cycle, I think will be the same result this time as according to lh strips I ovulate on cd18 x

Dan521 · 28/09/2023 13:22

hi @Roses5678 false positives are soul destroying 😭 I don’t think I’ll believe any test now unless it’s a really dark line or digital. What tests did you use?

OP posts:
MissSB18 · 28/09/2023 16:59

What DPO is everyone planning to test 🤭 I am determined to hold out until my period is due but let's be honest, I'll not 🤣 I tested positive on a FRER at 10dpo with my son so I'm tempted but it's a horrible wait until AF is due isn't it 🫣 x

Dan521 · 28/09/2023 17:10

I say that every month @MissSB18 😂, I have never waited until af so far, but do plan to every time. I’m around 6/7 dpo, i will probably start testing in the next couple of days 🙈.

im absolutely wiped out. I was supposed to be working from home this afternoon. come home and fell asleep and only just woke up!

OP posts:
MissSB18 · 28/09/2023 17:14

@Dan521 aww I think you're a day ahead of me - I think I'm 5/6dpo.. I want to wait until at least Sunday!

The tiredness you have is a promising sign 🤞 I've got nothing other than a few random cramps & feeling rather wet down below (sorry TMI 🤣) but I have recently had a water infection so could just be from that! Will keep an eye out for your tests and have everything crossed for you 🤞 x

Roses5678 · 28/09/2023 17:15

@Dan521 I had false positives on easy@home, and a couple months ago a false positive on a tesco cheapie which literally appeared within a minute.

I've just got my day 21 results back and they were 15.5... no explanation given just the number from the receptionist.
Last cycle they were borderline at 21

moosey89 · 28/09/2023 17:39

@Roses5678 apparently NHS counts anything from 12-30 as borderline! Shows how much out individual hormones can vary from person to person just to make things even more complex than they already are!

Longtobe2023 · 28/09/2023 17:56

@Roses5678 if requested will the doctors do the test? On my last scan to confirm all tissue was gone after my MMC she told me to ask for one and I spoke with the receptionist at the drs and all I got was you will get a phone appt in 1 month to discus’s fertility (charming!)

im testing BFN currently and my AF should be here sat/sun so not holding out much hope but I’ve seen people not get their BFP till the day so praying there’s still a chance.

im also using easy@home and all stark white so no false positives for me either thankfully

MummyBear2519 · 28/09/2023 18:19

Hi I think I’m around 6dpo today. I got the results back from my day 22 bloods and are 34 but a few months ago they were 72!? I have no idea what this means.
I have 2 dc from a previous relationship with zero trying but now almost a year into trying for mine and my dp’s 1st. The stress of symptom spotting each month and then getting disappointed is so hard

Roses5678 · 28/09/2023 18:56

@Longtobe2023 I'm told to phone tomorrow morning, hopefully they will be able to authorised another blood test as tomorrow I'll be 6dpo so surely my progestrone would have increased

Longtobe2023 · 28/09/2023 19:43

@Roses5678 hopefully they sort it for you! That’s all I asked for was the see if my body actually ovulates by doing the test but they couldn’t care less when I asked last month. Hopefully they’ll get the ball rolling on the 9th, unless I get a surprise BFP before which would be amazing!

shouldn’t they tell you what your numbers actually mean instead of leaving you in limbo.

Dan521 · 29/09/2023 08:03

Is any one starting to test soon? I’m 7/8 dpo,
can’t help myself 🙈 bfn of course, but at least these batch of tests are not giving out false positives. I’ve been getting an awful lot of watery cm the past few days.

OP posts:
Longtobe2023 · 29/09/2023 12:14

@Dan521 i started days ago, I must just enjoy the disappointment ha! What tests are you using? I’m easy@home and I’ve never had any false ones either.

Dan521 · 29/09/2023 12:52

@Longtobe2023 how many dpo are you? Im
using easy@home also it’s a new batch and so far all have been bfn so I am hoping I won’t have any problems with these ones.

OP posts:
Longtobe2023 · 29/09/2023 13:05

@Dan521 my Premom app says 14dpo but I got a peak on CD13 then flew abroad so wasn’t able to see if it got higher the next day and looking back at all my last cycles I peaked at CD16 and O on CD17 so that would only make me 10DPO. AF due this weekend so will wait and see what happens! Have you had any symptoms?

Dan521 · 29/09/2023 13:22

@Longtobe2023 i get every symptom under the sun every month 😂. There was one month I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant but I wasn’t. The only thing different this month is I’ve got a lot of watery cm. It usually goes thicker leading up to af but I am still about 7 days away so that could still happen. My cervix went low and really hard after ovulation it’s now a lot higher and slightly softer but not as soft as when I’m ovulating so I am hoping that’s a good sign. Although I haven’t consistently checked it other months so this could be normal for me. The wait every month to find out kills me, I am such an impatient person at the best of times.

OP posts:
Longtobe2023 · 29/09/2023 13:40

@Dan521 ive had pretty much zero CM this time, my appetite has been none existent and had headaches and cramps for a week along with bubbling/ gas feeling in my lower belly. I had such sore boobs last time (MMC) and I’ve had no signs of that that time so trying to hold out hope is hard!

when are you going to test?

Dan521 · 29/09/2023 13:56

I’ve done a test yesterday and today but bfn. When I had a mmc I had zero symptoms at all. I wasn’t ttc and only done a test because my af was about a week late. It was the lack of symptoms that prompted me to pay for an early scan because I didn’t feel pregnant. The sonographer said something wasn’t right and I went to the epu. Later had surgery to remove the tissue.
