I'd love twins but there are none in either family.

I have just ordered some of those early early pregnancy tests. My poor dh just looked at me and said cant you wait until next Friday.

Uhh NO!!

ohjoy · 26/02/2008 09:26

I completely understand Kay, i would be ordering them pronto as well. look at me, not even trying yet, and i am already going to order some. so that i am ready

ohjoy · 26/02/2008 09:27

Kay, check out www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk they have the super early ones, i saw them last night.

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 09:33

Thats where I ordered them from!!
And I got some folic acid.

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 09:35

You know Kay they are no twins in my family either, i conceived triplets but lost one at 15wks. The twins were such a when i saw them on the screen at 9 weeks!!! I had no clue either.

I'm not really that organised, i have 2 excellent helpers. The twins can watch Beau for me while i shower. They are fantastic with him and would love me to have twins so they dont have to fight over 1 baby!

I'm off to look at that sight now

I'd love twins. I think they'd be really hard though. I'd rather just have the one.

They send the tests by first class so hopefully they'll be here tomorrow or Thursday.

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 09:44

I have just had toasted tea cakes with real butter and a cuppa mmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Why is it though that cheap tea cakes taste better than expensive ones? The last ones we had were just Tesco own ones, which were beautiful, these ones today are M&S posh ones and they weren't half as tasty, nice, but not the best!

I am loving all the talk of possible morning sickness and HPT's, am thinking we need a few more people with "symptoms", where the hell is Teuch?!

Yes Diege, we did have a GOF last night, t'was the first since Sunday morning though so not not too bad!

LG&T, awww at your twins wanting more twins!! Losing the triplet must have been hard

I am now going to tie my hands up to stop me ordering some of those test's.....

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 09:45

here is the link to the site

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 09:46

Arghhhhhh, nooooooooooooooooooooo, now I am going to have to go and have a look.......

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 09:49

To be honset Nat i was not really upset, i didnt find out till that day. It had been hiding behind the other 2 and the sac suddenly came in to view on the scan that day. The sac kept growing and every time i went for a scan the would go and poke around looking for something. I was at Uni and had broken up with the father befor ei even found out i was pregnant. The thought of twins on my own was bad enough let alone triplets!

I live in fear at every scan now!

You are right about the tea cakes, i love the Sainsburys ones, the poncy taste the difference are too well poncy

That site is fab, i am totally hooked!

OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 09:50

LOL,
You knew you would have to have a look Nat.

I just hope that they do really work.

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 09:54

I can imagine how it was sad, but still a blessing in disguise. A bit different but sort of similar happened to my sister. These things happen for a reason!

I am glad you said that about the tea cakes, thought perhaps I just had cheap tastes...!! LOL Normally, I do poncy over cheap, but teat cakes will be cheap from now on!

I am not looking at that site, honestly

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 09:57

Yeah I believe you Nat.

I don't mind doing cheap but I can not do cheap tomato ketchup. It has got to be Heinz.

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 09:58

Ketchup, bleugh! Means i dont finish the childrens fishfingers off though

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:01

I am with Kay. I don't have ketchup very often, but you can't have scrambled egg with out a bit of ketchup mixed in, and when I do prawns for starters with my Marie Rose sauce, you just can't do MR sauce without ketchup.

ohjoy · 26/02/2008 10:03

I am going to order mine test kits tonight! i am definitely not going to wait any longer

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:03

Off topic slightly, but something on that site, that I'm not looking at just reminded me, does anyone know how likely it is that you will get pre-eclampsia again if you had it previously?

ohjoy · 26/02/2008 10:12

Nat, i had it when DS and he had to be delivered at 37 weeks. from what i know, it is likely to happen again.

what about breech position? if the first one is breech is the 2nd one likely to be breech as well?

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:19

I don't think it works like that with breech, I think that is something that you are as likely to have another breech as anyone else.

I don't want PE again, god the swelling...... is it worth buying a BP monitor for it? (That is what reminded me!) It scared me last time that when I went for my normal ante-natel visit at the MW, my BP was so high they rushed me in for an emergency section in an ambulance with the sirens on (t'was great!!! ) but, even though it was that high, I didn't feel poorly or anything, felt completely normal. I can't rish having a fit whilst I am on my own with the kids!

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:20

*risk not rish!

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 10:23

I dont know Nat.

If you read here it says there is more chance if you have had it before.

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:30

Thanks Kay, so basically the stats go from 1 in 30 (in a first pregnancy) to 1 in 5 in a subsequent pregnancy, if you've had PE before.... hmmmm

Something else, did anyone have to have Anti-D in previous pregnancies? I did with DS1, but didn't with DS2, anyone know why I didn't need it last time?

Picking your brains today aren't I?!!

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 10:36

Not a clue there sorry.

largeginandtonic · 26/02/2008 10:37

PE is more than likely to rer it's ugly head again Nat i'm afraid. The monitor may just scare you really, better to see the midwife more regularly. She will be keeping a close eye on you anyway.

I will check the text books about Anti D, i was sure you had to have in each pregnancy.

I have started a thread in AIBU, it is long. I am stressing about it.

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 10:42

Really? I hate going to the midwives...! In fact the only enjoyable thing about seeing the midwives last time was the ambulance ride it ended in!!

I can't remember much about the Anti-D thing, I know I had it in PG. no. 1, and I know it is because I have a negative blood type, I thought perhaps DS1 was positive, and DS2 was negative, and because he was negative that I didn't need it again? But that is guess work because I have no idea what blood type either of them are!!

Could not having it have caused the MC? Or am I going off on one now?!

Will check the AIBU thread now.
