Ferti lily cup

Hey guy,
I am just wondering if anyone has used the ferti lily conception cup.
I used this once cycle over a year ago and now have a 15 month old son. I then feel pregnant after 2month TTC.
This is my first month ttc back again.

I have used the ferti lily cup again but cannot remember last time if there was any leakage of semen/sperm? I feel like there may have been some leakage but not a great amount. I did have a vaginal birth with my son and he is my first birth.

The reason I tried the ferti lily cup was I felt that all my hubby semen was leaking out of me when we dtd. Does anyone else experience this or am I just going mad. I do feel extremely wet (apologise). This is the reason why I purchase the cup.

Please if anyone can share there experience it would be amazing.

@Rayofsunshine22 i always like to try and give a positive update if I have one as success stories are better than negativity!
Thank you, still really finding it hard to be happy as worried it’s going to happen again. The weirdest thing is I’ve been told by doctors I dont ovulate (had bloods done twice) and my partner has low sperm morphology of 1% so I didn’t think it would actually happen but I guess there are miracles.
With the ferti Lily cup, I never had it in properly at all 😂but it still managed to keep a lot more up there than ever before.
That is plenty! The previous time (unfortunately ended in a MC) I DTD once on the day I got my static smiley and that was it! X

@DBBW stay positive & keeping everything crossed for you this time round 🤞 it is a constant worry isn't it! Wow ana absolute miracle! Like you say it only takes one time. How many weeks are you do you think? X

DBBW · 08/06/2023 22:11

@Rayofsunshine22 thank you! Fingers crossed.
it really is, you get taught at a young age don’t have sex you’ll get pregnant when it’s really not the case as well!
Exactly that so I’ll have my fingers crossed for you too.
My last period was 9th May so I’m basing it on that so almost 4 weeks but as my periods are so irregular it’s hard to know exactly x

@Rayofsunshine22 @Emmamoo89 oooo good to know about pre-seed! We only bought the 8 small applicators so will try pre-seed next month (hopefully I won’t need to 😅)

I’ve actually been timing DTD wrong. I thought you ovulate within 24 hours of a posits test, not 1-3 days! We were really trying as much as possible in the run up to a positive test and then were exhausted so took a break for a few days after a positive ovulation test. Fingers crossed I’ve just been timing this all wrong 😂

Hi everyone how are you all? Just a bit of an update where i am at. A couple of weeks ago my partner and i had a phone appointment with some consultant in gynaecology. It was to discuss my blood results my partners sample & our options moving forward. Conclusion was that i would have the HyCosy ultrasound (never had that before) although we have a daughter together apparently tubes can get blocked & a traumatic birth could have an impact so it will be good to see whats going on in there. She suggested i have a AMH blood test to see what that shows if we decide IVF is what we want to do + can decide what time we may or may not have. Shes booked my partner in for an indepth seman assessment which will give lots more information. All was fine with his first onw except morphology which was 3% and apparently 'normal' or what they 'would like to see' would be 4%. Personally that still seems very low but what do i know. Ive been on my thyroid meds for almost 8 weeks now so i have review bloods for those in 2 weeks time to see if the meds have made an impact. Ive just come on my period so they haven't worked their magic yet :( if my bloods come back as normal next time i guess the thyroid wasnt an issue in the first place. She said that ivf would be our option and would be no point in trying other fertility meds as nothing up to now is showing that it is needed. Weve been trying around 20 months now probably more as i wasnt really keeping track at the start (just hoping it would happen without thinking about it too much!) So this is longer than when we started trying first time round which im finding really hard. We got prices and info about ivf sent through+ i really don't know if its something that we can go into. Im praying a miracle happens for us. How is everyone else doing? Sending lots of positivity ♥️

@Rayofsunshine22 it's so difficult isn't it. No luck for me yet either I'm due on tomorrow but I don't think I'll be pregnant again. Me and OH had a bit of a tiff whilst I was ovulating. So timing wasn't the best this month. We had our first fertility clinic appointment a few weeks ago where I had swab, a load more blood tests including one for amh. I had a transvaginal exam too and nurse said everything looks normal but I do have polyscystic ovaries not to be confused with pcos though. Not got the results for the bloods yet. OH still waiting for his swimmers test in august which is the only thing that's taken ages. I'm like you though and even though I don't have any children I don't know if I'd go down the line of paying for IVF. It would be like a very expensive lottery. I'll take the free NHS attempt but we only get one where we live. Otherwise I'm going to have to come to terms with never having children which is going to be soo hard.

Rayofsunshine22 · 13/07/2023 20:39

@ttcfirstbaby90 I'm hoping your period didn't arrive today 🤞
Yeah I feel like for men they leave it ages & they wanted 70 days rest in between testing again which I know why but it still seems like forever! Is your OH getting a detailed analysis? I'm hoping this one next week that he's going for tells us a little more than just 'poor morphology' 🙄
IVF is such a hard decision isn't it. When it was us first time round we were quoted 6k because my partner has 2 other children so we didn't get any funded. Luckily our miracle came but I don't think I'm going to be lucky again. In the information we've been sent there is an IVF unlimited option & it offers 100% refunds or partial refunds if you don't achieve a pregnancy. Because I'm over 35 it's more expensive (17k!) but it is so tempting if we could afford it.
Good luck for your blood results 👍🤞

Just read this thread and I’m on the same journey of trying to conceive for about 6 months now… we haven’t been lucky yet to see a positive result, so I bought the fertilily cup… does anybody had difficulties when trying to remove it?

sorry for being sensitive but I literally panicked because I couldn’t manage to remove it… it took me a while to understand I had to pinch it, but now I’m reluctant in trying to use it again afraid I can remove it for some reason..

did this happen to any of you?

DBBW · 11/03/2024 01:23

Happened to me many times after awhile, I just got used to removing it but sometimes it still happened but it always eventually came out. I’m currently sitting here feeding my four week old. I truly believe the cup helped me fall pregnant. Good luck with your journey any questions feel free to message me x

appipa · 11/03/2024 19:32

@DBBW thank you so much for sharing your experience with me, that gives me a bit of hope to continue trying with the cup and not give up just yet.. Oinn, congrats on the little one! Hopefully one day I'll be in the same situation as you x

Katieshan · 13/03/2024 00:16

Help please! I am really struggling to use this cup. I am finding it really hard to insert.. it just won’t go down and wants to flip sideways… has anyone else experienced this and if so what could I do to try and help please? Thanks xx

Yes, it’s a bloody nightmare! I would try and practise if you have time. I just got so fed up I was determined to get it in 😯
Sometimes it would fall out and I’d give up.
i used it most times during my fertile window this month and I am pregnant now.
for me I think it really did help me conceive x

Ah thank you so much for your reply. I had another go tonight and it kind of worked! It went up after I pinched it and tried to push but then I was terrified cause only a little bit of the tail bit was left and I panicked that it was stuck and would snap or not come out! Is that normal?! It sucked it right up there lol!
ahh congratulations! Fingers crossed I get the same results. I have been trying to conceive for 3 years now and had a HSG test which came back inconclusive so I am now on a waiting list for surgery. I did have a miscarriage last year so I know something works a little bit! Desperate to avoid surgery so trying anything!
Wishing you all the best on your pregnancy xxx

Hi there, I haven't been on here in a while but I am still TTC baby2 (my daughter is 6) we've been trying for our second for almost 3 years now & I'm devastated to still be in this situation :(
I can't get to grips with the cup. I tried loads but haven't used it in a while. I know so many have success stories so I will try using it again. I don't think I ever really have it inserted right it always sits wrong.
Lots of luck for you

Meje · 12/04/2024 13:27

I started reading this thread because I was considering the cup-I use a moon up for my period and thought maybe I’d try that before I forked out but I think I’ve had 2 months with it and it hasn’t worked…

I have a DD2 and it was really quick to concieve her but I’m now 38 and we’ve been trying for 7 months. Stupidly a part of me assumed it would be easyish this time around too-plus my cycle lengths are all over the place-I’ve had my bloods tested and they said I’m not perimenopausal.

I find it so difficult every month when I get my period-doesn’t really help that the bloody hormones make me teary at that time anyway.

Really glad I read the thread though-so many things I’d never heard of doing-cough syrup, aspirin…I’m about to ovulate so I’m running out to the pharmacy!

Good luck everyone!
