Ferti lily cup

rimx · 05/04/2023 22:49

Hey guy,
I am just wondering if anyone has used the ferti lily conception cup.
I used this once cycle over a year ago and now have a 15 month old son. I then feel pregnant after 2month TTC.
This is my first month ttc back again.

I have used the ferti lily cup again but cannot remember last time if there was any leakage of semen/sperm? I feel like there may have been some leakage but not a great amount. I did have a vaginal birth with my son and he is my first birth.

The reason I tried the ferti lily cup was I felt that all my hubby semen was leaking out of me when we dtd. Does anyone else experience this or am I just going mad. I do feel extremely wet (apologise). This is the reason why I purchase the cup.

Please if anyone can share there experience it would be amazing.

Hi @ttcfirstbaby90 ! Welcome. Oh I know the feeling well. Hang in there & stay positive. It's so hard at times & it really gets me down. You're doing the right thing looking into things. I've noe passed the time it took me to conceive baby1 so it feels like it will never happen again but I just try stay hopeful. Good luck trying with the cup this month 👍 yes I will let you know & keep everything crossed for us 🤞

rimx · 11/05/2023 10:26

@ttcfirstbaby90

Welcome.
I do really do think the cup does work as I did fall pregnant with it. I experience a lot of leakage so when I used the cup I fell pregnant straight away.

I am 8dpo today and feeling slightly nauseous. So let see.

I will let you know if it works this cycle xx

@rimx aw I really hope it works for me too. Lots of luck for you 🤞 I'm currently 7 dpo 🤞
I've just had a call from GP with results that I have an overactive thyroid. Completely new to me I have never suffered with this before. I need more bloods then can start on some meds to hopefully get it to correct itself. They said they are putting my fertility referral on hold as they have possibly come across the problem. My partner needs another sample doing in June as his last one was poor morphology. So ATM we don't have a lot going for us but I'm hoping we can improve things so a little miracle can happen for us again 🤞 lots of luck to you all ✨

ttcfirstbaby90 · 11/05/2023 11:10

@rimx how you getting on with the tww.

I have my fingers crossed for you both. 🤞🏻

I think it's the same for everyone but the TWW is the worst time emotionally in this journey. I turn into a crazy person although I'm not an early tester I will wait for AF to just arrive. I'm constantly wondering if I'm growing a human or not. Anytime outside the TWW I'm my usual self.

I've recently told my manager at work now of my struggles as he keeps picking up a change in my persona and it's during the tww. He always checks that I'm okay after meetings because I'm being unusually quiet. I'm so glad he's been really understanding and supportive and told me to just take some time away from my desk if I'm feeling down. Figured he needed to know now anyway with doctors appointments coming up.

@Rayofsunshine22 how you feeling about that? I'd be a little irritated to be honest. We just have to wait for everything. I'm so impatient.

rimx · 11/05/2023 11:26

@ttcfirstbaby90

The tww is so stressful. Even when I'm doing something, it's still at the back of my mind.

I try and keep occupied as I have a little one and right now his just climbing on everything.

I'm going to be checking on the 17th next which will be 14dpo. I don't want to keep on checking as I have really bad line eyes

Fingers crossed for you xxx

Hey @ttcfirstbaby90 I do find it frustrating yes because everything takes so long :( I spoke to GP in Jan about fertility ttc and only now am I getting some meds. I just have to think that it's a step closer to getting pregnant. The first time Ttc #1 it was unexplained infertility which was so hard so maybe now there is a possible reason then hopefully it can change. I'm also not an early tester. I just wait for AF too. Sometimes I think I should just test + put myself out of my misery!

I agree @rimx the tww is so hard. I'm so grumpy & sad when AF comes though. Literally don't want anyone near me! Do you test early or just when AF is due? X

Rayofsunshine22 · 17/05/2023 20:55

Hi everyone how are you all? Little update from me - feeling so rubbish period is here :( another unsuccessful month for me. I'm waiting for meds to be prescribed for my overactive thyroid now & hope to God they work. Just feel so gutted another month gone by. I used the 'cup' and new conception vitamins this month.

Sierra26 · 17/05/2023 21:14

Sorry @Rayofsunshine22 :( it’s so frustrating isn’t it. Sending positivity for the thyroid meds to work!

so month 1 with the cup didn’t work for us. This month we had two really good goes with it, and now waiting to see. CD24/8DPO. Had some right sided pains last two days which I never get at this time, and similar to the ovulation pain I had this month. Then had some spotting today. I always spot before AF but this is the earliest it’s happened in a while. Naturally curious if it means something, but it’s probs just ramping towards AF starting ☹️

Rayofsunshine22 · 17/05/2023 22:54

Thank you @Sierra26 keeping everything crossed for you this month. I don't know about you but my mind/body always plays tricks on me with symptoms. Sometimes I think I'm sure I must be pregnant because of weird feelings & things going on. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I didn't have 1 symptom at all! Keep us updated X

ttcfirstbaby90 · 18/05/2023 21:30

Hey ladies
Sorry to hear it wasn't your month @Rayofsunshine22 hopefully these new meds will give you success. You're another cycle closer to having your bfp I'm sure.

@Sierra26 you'll have to keep us updated. I agree with @Rayofsunshine22 with the mind playing with you though. It's annoying as hell I could swear since starting to try last year I've had different symptoms every month hah. I try ignore them now but it's easier said than done. That being said I really hope it is a sign for you. 🤞🏻

I am still waiting for ovulation. I have long cycles and I'm on CD21. Going to be very annoyed if my peak doesn't come tomorrow. Although I can most certainly wait for the TWW to start. 😂

Sierra26 · 19/05/2023 07:14

I’m 10/11DPO now and pretty sure I’m out. Spotting has continued (light pink and brown which is normal for me pre AF altho earlier than normal, weird pains have stopped, BFN yesterday and I only have one test left so not going to forget about it unless AF doesn’t arrive. Argh! Feeling a bit stroppy and over it today.

ttcfirstbaby90 · 19/05/2023 11:52

@Sierra26 Awh sorry Sierra. I get exactly the same way. It's so disappointing. Each month that passes it becomes very frustrating. I was so excited to start trying. I didn't expect it to happen straight away but it's taking the mick now. I have my first GP appointment today. It's a strange feeling of hoping they find something that's easy enough to fix and also hoping they don't find anything wrong. I know I won't get any answers for a while yet but making a start on it.

Rayofsunshine22 · 19/05/2023 22:58

Thank you @ttcfirstbaby90 90 I do keep positive most of the time it's just when AF arrives and it's another month passed the sadness and disappointment I know we all feel it. Ultimately I'm so worried this won't happen for me again. Gosh that is a long cycle I hope you got your ovu peak?! Sorry to hear it @Sierra26 rra26 :( I'm the same I always start with light brown /pink spotting & it started on CD 26 for me this time. I didn't even test at all this month. Hope you're feeling a little better, I completely get the done and over it feeling :(

@ttcfirstbaby90 aby90 I'm the same in terms of GP investigation etc. First time round ttc #baby1 nothing was found to be an issue & that was with GP & IVF clinic tests. So was told unexplained infertility. This time I've got the overactive thyroid & my partner has poor morphology in his recent sample. So one way I look & think well at least these are things that we can change & work on bur then I keep going back to the fact that first time round it didn't happen for so long & nothing was wrong. & We were both so much younger. I drive myself mad with it & am just hoping for a miracle. Has your GP done basic bloods etc. How long have you been ttc? Xx

ttcfirstbaby90 · 20/05/2023 08:21

Morning, no still no peak yet. Had a look back and the latest I've had since tracking is CD23. My luteral phase is always the same length though. I'm not too worried yet. Hoping to see it today. But yeah it's annoying because I have to wait a week longer than most for AF hah.

So I've been trying a year never had bloods before or any investigations. GP has booked day 3 bloods for two weeks time. Didn't say anything about day 21 bloods she seemed convinced that I'm definitely ovulating despite the long cycles. Very surprised when we called to book OHs SA that it's a 3 month wait!

Rayofsunshine22 · 01/06/2023 00:28

Hi all how is everyone? Nothing to update for me. I cannot get on with the Fertility cup. It's not uncomfortable or hard to insert all that is fine it's just not sitting in right. I can't get it to sit flat /straight as it should & I also cannot pop it back into shape. Really annoying I will keep practicing but just feel like it's just all over the place. Maybe I need to try a different kind?
Anyway just checking in 👋

rimx · 01/06/2023 13:47

@Rayofsunshine22

Its a nightmare, and I'm having the same issue.

I find that I'm still experiencing leakage and the fertility cup is designed to avoid that.

It's very hard to put back in to shape. My hubby is able to pop it in but to pull on the stem and make sure it's the right way according to the instructions is very hard.

Very annoying :(

Only used this pesky thing once this cycle and now I’m the TWW… I don’t think it helped much and still as others described had the dreaded annoyance of pulling it out / mess / chaos

finding myself leaning on it less and less and I got it 3 cycles ago 😅
but will update if successful this time!

Sierra26 · 01/06/2023 18:41

I’ve been the same - awkward and messy with no guarantee it’s actually flipped back round. but I’m going with the thought that it being in there even if not quite right position is still acting like a sort of plug and better than it all coming out straight away!

Anyway, have used for two cycles and still no success. Will continue though.

ttcfirstbaby90 · 02/06/2023 08:13

I'm 10 dpo on my first cycle with it, but to be honest I'm not hopeful for a bfp this month. Ovulation didn't come until CD25.

I agree with what all of you have said although after 3-4 tries before ovulation I feel I got the hang of it but deffo putting more than 1 finger in like the diagram haha. Like stuffing a turkey or something it's so unflattering. 😂😂 sorry tmi.

I think it was sitting right but getting it out was difficult. It feels stuck and takes some pulling to get it out and trying to do it without making a mess is impossible.

Should be due af on Tuesday but as I say nothing feels different and my late ovulation is making me think I'm deffo out. It's so disappointing why can't I just make a baby. 😫

Going on holiday for 2 weeks soon and then when we get back I have my first fertility clinic appointment so at least we're getting closer to finding out what's wrong.

kalixxx · 06/06/2023 14:57

We’ve used it for 3 cycles now with no success, my issue is that I’m not sure if I’m getting it in high enough or flipping it in the right place!

We’ll be trying conceive plus lube this month, will let you know if that finally results in a BFP 😅

Preseed is better!

Rayofsunshine22 · 07/06/2023 18:19

@kalixxx yeah tell me about it! I'm exactly the same just looks so simple on the video + when it comes to it it's so bloody hard to get it in the right place 🙄 I've used ttc lube too last 2 cycles. I'll try preseed when I need a new one have you heard good things @Emmamoo89 ??

I've used it and it's worked 😊 used it with a soft cup. Conceive plus didn't work for me I tried that first then preseed

DBBW · 07/06/2023 21:57

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pop on here as I’ve been silently following this thread. I’ve been trying for a year now and had a chemical pregnancy in March. I brought the fertilily cup last month and used it 5 days in a row during my fertile period and some times I didn’t manage to pull it how you are meant to and today I got my BFP.
I’m of course still very worried and not getting excited but I do truly believe this time around it’s due to the fertilily cup.
I hope this helps anyone in their decision to buy :)

Rayofsunshine22 · 07/06/2023 23:03

@Emmamoo89 ahh fab I'll go for preseed next for sure. I'm currently using the Ferti Lily one. Would you recommend the soft cup too? Is they easier than the Ferti Lily one?

@DBBW thanks for sharing & congratulations what amazing news.
Due to work & lifestyles etc there no way me & other half could DTD every night. Have to make do with 2/3 times in fertile period. But Gps have said that should be enough so 🤞 good luck with everything 🤞🤞🤞
