Hi ladies
My first post here.
Wondering if there is anyone else on a similar journey to me who wants to chat and swap advice/support!
I just turned 40 in December. I have a 21 yr old DD, 20 yr old DS and 10 yr old DD. That’s me done I thought! But met the man of my dreams 2 years ago..got married last November! And we have decided we would quite like a baby together!
Never planned or TTC my children so not been along this path before and of course age is no longer on my side! DH is 48.
I had the coil removed in July last year then before the wedding I made the stupid mistake of having the depo to stop my periods for the wedding/honeymoon and because we had decided not to try at that point. I had the depo end of September and didn’t have another. No AF yet. Did get some faint lines on OPK’s last month but I understand the line needs to be dark?
so that’s me..hoping for AF soon to start my TTC journey but gutted realising it could take some time..and time is ticking on ⏰😬

Hello ladies. I'm 40, recently got to the stage that would be 41 when baby was born, was adamant would've stopped by now but hey, here we are. CD16 today, 26 day cycles. Will try not to test until this time next week, not hopeful tbh! This is cycle 6

@JoRobyn fingers crossed tightly for you!
I get excited when people do tests!

I know quite a few ladies who had children at 43,44 and 45
I’m desperate for a child unfortunately, my left fallopian tube is blocked
I really hope I can have a child one day I turned 44 yesterday

I know one lady at 44 (gave birth) but i don't know whether it was IVF or donor, but I had the impression that it was her biological daughter. I think that gave me the false impression that pregnancy doesn't stop in your 40s, when in reality it gets considerably more difficult. I was just reading though that Natalie Imbruglia managed to have a baby at 44, as did Geri Haliwell. I hope things are going ok for you.
