Hi I’m 6dpo for sure as I tracked with ovulation tests this month and I’ve got a positive pregnancy test, is this possible?

I think we can safely say little one didn’t stick, top to bottom very minimal line progression then can see its now fainter on the bottom one, that alongside a pad full of fresh red blood, I’m gutted and can’t stop crying x

Oh @Mummy1502 I am so sorry 😞

Mummy1502 · 27/02/2023 07:31

hi ladies congratulations all on your bfp, just an update from me, I bled for 2 days and now have stopped, my question is does that start my cycle again now or do I wait until next month? Last time I miscarried I was further along (around 7 weeks) and bled for around a week or so, this was back in November, this has been the first time I’ve fell pregnant since so obviously it’s been heartbreaking x

That’s you started again, CD 1 from first full day of bleeding. You may find that this cycle will be a little longer but you were very early so ovulation may not be delayed.

Mummy1502 · 27/02/2023 12:11

@Pollywoddles I must have started bleeding properly through the night on Friday as I had a little stain on my underwear Friday night then when I went to toilet Saturday morning that’s when it was fresh red so should I be counting Saturday as day 1? I just can’t seem to pick myself up really thought after getting a positive clearblue digital all would be fine, so draining, pregnancy tests now look negative so hoping that’s a good sign that there was no complication x

Yes, my consultant always said first full day of bleeding so Saturday as day 1.

I know, it’s horrible, all the optimism and hope so quickly dashed, it’s hard to go back to the beginning. Stay positive, the next one will stick and I always think you’re more fertile after a chemical.

Mummy1502 · 27/02/2023 14:59

@Pollywoddles thankyou will keep updated x

Mummy1502 · 28/02/2023 08:15

@positivethoughts1 thankyou have also been referred to gynaecology by my doctor to hopefully have a scan see what’s going on and why the little beans aren’t sticking x

Ready for cycle 3, pic is last 3 days of ovulations tests, bottom today, hoping to get a positive ovulation test in the next few days if my cycle has gone back to normal since the chemical, I’m not hopeful I will ovulate so soon after though x

Keep going with the OPKs. When you’re getting closer to the days you normally ovulate do two a day to make sure you catch it but you’re managing to get pregnant just fine so don’t stress too much about it, just keep having sex.

Mummy1502 · 02/03/2023 10:48

@Pollywoddles thankyou I think it’s tomorrow or the next day I normally get a positive ovulation test, can’t be sure though coz of chemical, I started bleeding 2 days after af was due so not sure if I start it from when it should have been due or when I started bleeding if that makes sense? Have started taking vitamins too hoping it helps x

OP posts:
Pollywoddles · 02/03/2023 11:16

Count from the bleed so I’d say you’re still very early on. Vitamins might lengthen your luteal phase a bit just to be aware.

Mummy1502 · 02/03/2023 11:20

@Pollywoddles what does that mean? X

OP posts:
Pollywoddles · 02/03/2023 12:31

Your luteal phase? That’s the number of days after ovulation until you get your period. It’s normally the same every cycle but taking vitamins such as B6 can lengthen it by a day or so. Just in case you think your period is late, it may be the vitamins depending on what you’re taking.

Mummy1502 · 02/03/2023 13:22

@Pollywoddles thankyou, it’s just a normal multi vitamin, strange I am cramping again today, don’t think my cycle really knows what it’s doing x

@Pollywoddles would you say this is a positive ovulation test or not quite yet? X

You’re on cycle day 8 right? When do you normally ovulate?

I’d dtd tonight but keep going with the testing.

Mummy1502 · 04/03/2023 16:05

@Pollywoddles yea cycle day 8, I normally ovulate day 10/11 I think, my positive ovulation tests have always been cycle day 9/10 since I started testing, have you had your bfp yet? X

Pollywoddles · 04/03/2023 19:16

I’m not ttc at the moment, my baby is nearly 1 and we won’t be going again. However it took us 4 years and 7 miscarriages so I was in your shoes many times.

Mummy1502 · 05/03/2023 10:33

@Pollywoddles sorry to hear that x
