Thought I’d start a new Dec thread for us!! New thread… new cycle… new hope!!

I’ve just realised if it works this cycle it would be end of august, not September, so I’ll buzz off the thread!
But I am absolutely dying in this 2WW, I can’t deal with it, can’t concentrate on my work, three days til I test. Ugh.

Out of interest, when you guys do early testing before AF...when do you do it?xxx

The early tests say 6 days before missed period. So that’s 5 days before it’s due to start . ‘Missed’ period is when it’s late by one day.

Everyone’s different. I find early testing helps because it doesn’t always pick up a pregnancy yet but it might. If it’s negative early I can start preparing to be out by the time Af comes. The few times I’ve just waited until Af I’ve been so down as it’s like a nasty shock.

7dpo and I have given up. I am sooooooo sick with a cold and dealing with a toddler and work (I'm a nurse so on my feet all day) has worn me down. 1 week to go! I've been testing and BFN'S so far but 100% expected that. I keep looking for implantation signs because with my DD I had implantation bleeding and cramps that woke me up in the middle of the night at around 7/8dpo but so far have had nothing of the sort.
Anyone here with kids already have different symptoms for each pregnancy/tww?

@anotherscroller I would be August too, 22nd based on LMP but my little one will be 2 in august and their birthdays would end up about a week apart if it’s this cycle 😂 hasn’t stopped me trying though!

12DPO and as negative as can be this afternoon. Pretty sure I’m out - feeling really down about it tbh.

This is why I’m waiting till next cycle! My brothers birthday is 1 day before mine so I remember “sharing” parties as a child 😑.

If I hold off to next cycle then there will be almost two months between them thanks to my long cycles.

@anotherscroller I would be august too. But I just moved straight from the end of November thread onto this one so I’m staying put 🤣 according to my app the fertile window starts tomorrow… 🤞🏼

@buckingmad that sounds like a good idea 😂 I think my number one fear is a Christmas birthday as I have one and have hated it my whole life so feel like I don’t really have the time to waste a cycle at this point but probably sharing a birthday party is worse 🙈 a money saver as a parent though 🤣

Laughing at all the planning birthday comments.
When trying for #1 we "tried" for 3 months then was careful for 3 months and then "tried" again. We did this as I didn't want a baby with a bday too close to Xmas 🙈
Guess when my little boys birthday ended up being .... 29th Feb 2020 ... he's a leap day baby after all that lmfao !!! 🤣
I had a right wobble (well for 10 mins) when he came all upset he only had a "real" birthday every 4 years..... then I realised it was pretty cool and he will always have an "interesting fact" he can tell people when meeting them, work bonding exercises etc .... when they make you tell everyone something about yourself hahaha 😆
Just shows there is no perfect date. Just kepp hoping for that BFP xx

@Soda123x that’s very true, I always thought that was a cool birthday to have when I was at school 😂 we’re 4 months in so I’d told myself I’d have until February to try without it being too close to Christmas. Looking up all the odds last night and 68% of people are already pregnant by this point, 80 something by 6 months so surely 🙄🙈

I just found out that because I’ve had an ovulation trigger shot the day before O, I shouldn’t test until 14DPO because the trigger shot is actually made of HCG, so it could show up as a false positive before then! 😱 can’t think of anything worse.
so I’m not testing til Wednesday.
By the way, if anyone wants to know about The Next Stage I.e. fertility testing and treatment, hit me up. I feel like a real veteran now even though I’m only on my very first medicated cycle, which is dumb, but I really recommend going that route if you think there might be something up! (My hunch that I wasn’t ovulating was correct)

@BiscuitLover3678 three things to get started:

• you have to be trying for a year to get treatment if you’re under 35, but that’s when you start in the fertility clinic. Before that stage you have to have all sorts of tests, so I think it’s actually best to start with the GP after trying for eight or nine months
• for me it’s an ovulation issue, and I thought I was getting positives because I had lines the same colour as the control line some months. Now I realise that that wasn’t enough to show a positive, I should have had at least one OPK that was DARKER than the control line. My body kept trying to ovulate and repeatedly didn’t manage it. I probably could have found this out earlier if I had been a bit more savvy with the OPKs. It was a little bit wishful thinking.
• the clinic people are SO NICE. I genuinely have had a nice time there! So much happier than before I got into the clinic. Want to reassure anyone who feels scared or like they don’t want to be in the infertility club (that was me).

8DPO today and took a FRER which I know are renowned for evap lines...however I've had a test with an evap line before and it was super clear and dark...this line looks grayish in the picture but I SWEAR it's ever, ever so pink especially at the ends. My husband agrees. I took an IC first and I thought there was a slight shadow of a second line but couldn't be sure and it seemed to go away so immediately took the frer. This was midday watered down pee (honestly don't ask why I thought then was a good time to test so early). I really don't want to get my hopes up...thoughts? Also don't know if this was there within the 3 minutes as it looked negative but I went back a few minutes later not convinced as I'm SURE I saw something on the IC (losing my marbles perhaps?) So took the test apart and there it is.

@Stilltobeseen i can see something, but I think I need to see tomorrow’s to be sure!

Think I’m ovulating early… ewcm this morning at CD 8 and I was planning to start LH testing at CD 9… so I am not sure now and I’ve nearly drank 2L so I think I can’t test for ovulation xx

@NarnieJoy I’ve been getting up to 4 days of EWCM so you could have a few days until ovulation actually happens!

@anotherscroller that’s really interesting.. my line wasn’t darker than the control this cycle but I was assuming the peak happened while I was sleeping.. now wondering if it’s maybe not been happening at all 🤔 on month 4 so far

Took another test today at 9DPO with FMU but it was a BFN so yesterday's must have been an evap line. Don't know why it was pink though?! I'm never buying a FRER again. Honestly they just give false hope. Just going to hope my IC tests give me a BFP before AF next week and then do a CB Digi if that happens.

Period arrived yesterday. Finally!! End of 52 day cycle and now counting down to fertile window!

@Stilltobeseen what brand was the one you took? If you get a first response for tomorrow you might have better luck 🤞🏼 Could be that it’s picked it up early but you’re more hydrated today? I’m planning to drink hardly anything towards the end of next week so I can test every morning 🤣
