Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

Can I join the thread please?

Trying for 2nd baby - this is the first month. 1st baby is 18 months old now ⭐️

I think I'm 7DPO - feeling nauseous but probably my body playing tricks! Promised myself I would stress this time around but not happening 🤣

AF due next Sunday 🤞🏽

Tbark · 06/11/2022 22:22

@OneHundredOtters have you taken tge proceive yet? I've found you need to mix and down it straight away otherwise it just tastes like fish hahah!!

Saturnsmoon · 07/11/2022 10:38

So I’m on CD16 and had a static smiley this morning. The strange thing is that I’m having pretty severe ovulation pain (cramps in my left side, on the inside of my hip) which I’ve never had before. It is my first month of taking EPO so wondering if that has anything to do with it. Will stop taking it now as don’t think your supposed to take it beyond ovulation. Has anybody else experienced this/epo side affects?

OneHundredOtters · 07/11/2022 14:35

@Tbark I had some this morning. It could be worse! So far no terrible meaty burps which were a feature of the well woman ones.

Laul89 · 07/11/2022 18:02

I’ve been testing every day and still no positive on the OPK! I’m thinking now surely I’ve just missed my ovulation date?! (Ovulated earlier than the app said!) App is predicting AF is due in 11 days and it’s usually right.. so once that’s over I will have to start testing earlier and hopefully catch it next month. Had light cramps yesterday & today. Still so new to this so finding it awfully confusing 🥴🤣

Bookworm9319 · 07/11/2022 18:26

Congrats to the gals getting BFPs!! This is defo a lucky thread. Positive OPK today which is early for me and my unstable cycles (if I do ovulate) so feeling sooooo good rn!

Which tests are you using? Try restricting liquid before you test as your wee might be too diluted.

My surge last month was pretty quick. I would have missed it if I hadn't tested in the evening

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 01:01

@Laul89 I would assume you have probably ovulated already, just try again next month from the day your period ends!

Laul89 · 08/11/2022 07:52

@OneHundredOtters oh just some from asda.. I only bought them to see if they matched up with my app which I know now they don’t! Or like you say I’ve tested at the wrong time of day & missed it. Next cycle I will try restricting liquid thank you!

@Roxybabe yeah me too.. we DTD a couple of times before that window was predicted to secretly hoping we might have caught it.. but if not I will start testing earlier next month ☺️

Congratulations to everyone who has a BFP so far! Fingers crossed for the rest of us soon ☺️🤞🏼

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 15:24

@Laul89 yeah hopefully you won’t need to test again 🤞🤞

Hi all, I've been lurking for a while. I hope its okay that I join this thread. Its been one year since we started trying, fingers crossed this is our month, I had a CP in August. I am due AF on 23rd November. I am currently on CD15 no positive OPK yet, this is my first month using them and I've been using FMU. Should I switch to Evenings? Just to add I have always had EWCM and no sign of that yet this month either, so I must be going to ovulate later than the app is predicting. I usually have a 30 - 32 day cycle.

Congratulations to all the BFP testers. Wishing you all a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 18:24

@SoThisIsMyNameNow welcome, sorry about your CP and fingers crossed for this month. I think its better to test a little later, second morning urine or any time between 10/11 and 6pm, I heard it takes a couple hours for the LH to show in the urine after early morning.

how is everybody doing, I’m cd8 and in that boring phase between my period and fertile window. I have a friend who keeps texting me as I told her I was trying, she text me the other day saying ‘are you preggers yet’. I found it a little insensitive and it made me regret telling her I was trying. How would you respond to these sort of texts? I have told a few of my friends and I really regret it now. I feel like they are fishing for news and sadly it’s news I don’t have 😞

Laul89 · 08/11/2022 19:02

@SoThisIsMyNameNow welcome ☺️ I usually have cycles of around 30-32 days too so it’s nice to meet someone similar who has the longer cycle! I started using OPKs for the first time this month, started on day 15, now on day 22 and haven’t had a positive one yet! So I’ve either missed it or ovulated earlier than the app predicted! If no BFP this month then I will start testing from the end of AF next cycle ☺️

@Roxybabe dont the days drag when you’re in those boring parts?! I guess I’m in my two week wait now and I’ve never wished the days away until AF is due so much 🤣
Awww sorry to hear that, it really is so insensitive. Does your friend have children? I have told two of my close friends - one has children but the other is going through IVF so I don’t like to discuss much with her as I feel so bad for her 🥺 it is awful if people keep asking you though, it doesn’t just happen that easily unfortunately 😫

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 19:17

@Laul89 the tww is the absolute worst! Dreading it already! so most my friends hve kids already and annoyingly they all fell super quick, like literally one month off of BC. But this particular friend who keeps asking, she hasn’t got kids, she has been trying the last year but has sadly had 2 miscarriages, so maybe because she is TCC too she feels she has a right to ask me, but I would never ask her! I would wait for her to tell me when she is ready.

LAgeDeRaisin · 08/11/2022 19:53

Finally got my period yesterday after a weird 34 day cycle - first off the POP - so I'm CD2.

Can anyone recommend good OPKs that are really reliable and give a clear result? I tried vaguely before my last baby but I think I remember nothing looked much like anything and I gave up.

Bit concerned that my cycle is a bit off so I won't know when I'm ovulating... that and the thought of DTD so much is exhausting!

LAgeDeRaisin · 08/11/2022 20:01

@Roxybabe sorry to hear about your friend. It sounds like they haven't thought through whether it might be a sensitive subject for you.

If it's a close friend you could maybe just be honest - 'Hi X, to be honest I'm struggling with not being pregnant yet. I'll let you know if there's good news but currently would rather just talk about other things if that's ok?'

If it's not a close friend I'd maybe just keep it short and change the subject and hopefully they'll get the hint.

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 20:15

@LAgeDeRaisin sorry to hear AF came, I use easy@home from amazon! I really like them.

she is a close friend and maybe she feels she can ask because she has opened up to me about her MCs and we have spoken about TTC before, but I would NEVER ask her ‘you pregs yet?’ And although she told me about her MCs she never actually told me she was pregnant before they happened so was keeping it private. So I don’t know why she would expect me to tell her straight away. I always planned on keeping it to ourselves (if it ever happens) and telling friends after 12 weeks so I don’t like the constant asking!

OP posts:
LAgeDeRaisin · 08/11/2022 20:26

Yeah I wouldn't like that either - I doubt anyone would. It's a bit of an unwritten rule not to ask people TTC about pregnancy because if they wanted to tell you they'd have done so already.

I think some people just don't think. I had to tell my husband off a few years ago for asking a pair of newlyweds if they were going to have kids soon- it's just always a bad idea. He said he just hadn't considered they might be struggling, and he avoids the whole topic now.... the couple 5 years down the line are still without children and I have no idea whether it's through choice or not.

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 20:35

@LAgeDeRaisin yeah its such a sensitive topic and I just would never ask anybody about it unless they bought it up!

I think next time I might tell her I’m taking a break from trying until spring or something just to get her off my back.

OP posts:
LAgeDeRaisin · 08/11/2022 20:40

You never know, when she asks again in March you might be 4 months pregnant!

This is the month.

I'm full of baby determination for us all.✊

Roxybabe · 08/11/2022 20:42

@LAgeDeRaisin oh I REALLY hope so!! I want it so bad 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Baby determination and painful period cramps. :(

SoThisIsMyNameNow · 08/11/2022 20:48

Thank you @Laul89 and @Roxybabe
Is anyone else symptom spotting now, I promised myself I wouldn't do this. But it's so hard not too. 😂 I'll be gone mad.

Laul89 · 08/11/2022 20:49

@Roxybabe yeah it’s definitely something you don’t ask people unless they bring it up first isn’t it! And ‘are you pregs yet’ just seems so blunt and impersonal! 🥺 I would agree with telling her you’re taking a break from trying and that prevent her asking for a while!

@LAgeDeRaisin yesss… I love your positivity! Baby dust to us all 🤞🏼✨

Knov20 · 09/11/2022 06:57

So I did opk yesterday and ny evening time it was almost as dark as the control line so reckon today I'm ovulating. Still in bed so hoping test this morning will confirm! We DTD lastnight, not the night previous but the night before that and hopefully tonight. I'm bloody exhausted. I just want to read my book and go to sleep😂then it's going to be a long TWW.
