Hey ladies,

Thought I would create a thread for those testing towards the end of Nov/early December.

I'm CD2, TTC first baby. On cycle 5.

fingers crossed for us all!

@Laul89 ahh noo 😞 had so hoped it wasn’t! That’s gutting. What was your timeline then, you got a positive at the start of the week at how many dpo? Then you noticed it getting fainter and now this? It totally put you off testing early, it’s how excited you get if you get a positive too and you’re away planning ahead then this happens 😔 so sorry! X

NarnieJoy · 19/11/2022 21:30

@Laul89 so sorry - I went through similar in March this year. Whatever you do be so kind to yourself - it’s such a hard thing. Xx

Laul89 · 19/11/2022 22:05

@MsRT @Misspotterscat thank you ❤️

@BCxx thank you.. I had a faint positive Monday, bit darker on the Wednesday then lighter yesterday morning. Started spotting last night and before bed I just knew it was AF. Not entirely sure how many DPO I was as I hadn’t been tracking properly.. my app said I ovulated on the 4th though but who knows! I was trying not to let my head run away with itself but it’s so hard not to isn’t it. Even ordered something to announce to my husband and parents but hopefully I will be able to use it soon 💔

@NarnieJoy thank you.. I didn’t even realise it was a thing until I started to look into ttc properly. I suppose that’s why they say wait until after you miss your period. That TWW is just so long though isn’t it! Sorry you went through it too ❤️

I hope all you ladies get your BFP very soon and thank you all for the kind words and advice, it’s greatly appreciated x

UserL95 · 19/11/2022 23:39

@Roxybabe @Tbark thank you both so much for sharing your charts with me. Really helps to get a real life perspective on it rather than trawling on Google. Going to just keep tracking and see if there is a trend over a few months. God willing this month a miracle will happen and I won’t have to worry about TTC anyways!

BCxx · 20/11/2022 08:26

@Laul89 aww no 😔 did you end up telling him? Hope you’ve got someone to speak to about it ❤️That’s like 6 days though so it would have been hard not to have tested at all during that time. It seems like 5 weeks is the point when you can avoid a chemical but I don’t think I could hang on that long to test and even then you can still have an early miscarriage 🤦🏼‍♀️ The whole thing is just so hard. Your hormones are meant to help you get pregnant again, will you try again next month or wait til after Christmas do you think?

Chrissy0 · 20/11/2022 08:43

Morning! Does anyone else do a test, think they see the slightest hint of what could be a line (even if it's not) and then go waving it around at different angles under different lights to try to see it 🙈 I drive myself nuts!

ChloeN · 20/11/2022 09:01

@Chrissy0 yes lol or I blink and then can’t see the line anymore 🤣 I have to chuck it so I stop tormenting myself

Laul89 · 20/11/2022 09:02

@BCxx yeah I spoke to him on Friday night when the spotting started.. obviously we are trying but I wanted it to be a nice surprise when I told him for definite if that makes sense. I’ve also spoken to my mam so I have good support around me 🥰

It’s really hard isn’t it, I was naive and didn’t know anything about chemicals until I started to try properly! I have read this online and hope it’s true.. we are going to see what happens this month, I’d said if I didn’t get pregnant this month I’d use OPKs from the end of my period but I’m not going to bother. Whatever we done this month obviously worked to some extent, my app must have predicted the fertile window correctly, so we will just go off that again. December is such a busy month anyway isn’t it!

How are you doing? 🥰

BCxx · 20/11/2022 09:14

@Laul89 yeah I think as much as opks are good to make you feel somehow in control, all it actually tells you is that you’re fertile at that time. I think it can be less stressful just to try every other day sometimes and probably also means you don’t think so much about what exact day you can start testing. I probably will do opks again this month but only because my ovulation has been so late and I’m taking maca root to bring it forward so hopefully it’s cd16 or earlier again this month. AF is now finished so will be back into trying again this week 😊

Saturnsmoon · 20/11/2022 11:05

AF just arrived for me - right on time and although I didn’t really have any reason to believe she wouldn’t as I haven’t had any symptoms still a bit disappointed. Anyway on to cycle 12 we go 😏

OneHundredOtters · 20/11/2022 14:04

Hi all, I stepped away from this thread a bit as I didn't seem to be ovulating this month and I was finding it a bit tricky. It seems to have just been a bit delayed though as I think I've had a surge today. Had to drag DH back to bed!

I guess that means I should try and hold off testing a bit longer? AF is due 30th November but that would only be 8/9 dpo now.

@Laul89 sorry to hear it hasn't worked out this time Flowers

Fingers crossed for those still testing!

Laul89 · 20/11/2022 14:17

@BCxx yeah I totally get that. We will be straight back into trying once AF has stopped too! 🙈 I’m a bit of a control freak anyway and I think if I was testing using OPKs multiple times a day it would just stress me out! This is only our second proper month of trying so going to (try) take it easy and I know I have the option there in future if needed ☺️ hopefully the maca root works for you this month! 🤞🏼

@Saturnsmoon onwards and upwards 🥰 fingers crossed for next time🤞🏼

@OneHundredOtters aw thank you ❤️ that made me laugh about dragging your DH back to bed 🤣 who know this would all be so complicated eh! 🤣

Roxybabe · 20/11/2022 17:23

@Saturnsmoon sorry to hear AF arrived hun! Fingers crossed for next cycle!

@OneHundredOtters yay! Glad you got your surge! 🤞

Sorry @Saturnsmoon Fingers crossed for next month!

Kittenmum89 · 20/11/2022 20:56

Hi, jumping on this thread. We are TTC our first
had my implant removed nearly 2 weeks now. Using the clear blue advanced digital. We DTD on day we had a static smiley and a few days before. I have everything crossed. I didn’t realise how much I wanted this until we started trying, is anyone else the same ? Baby dust to all ! Xx

CreatingLittlePudding · 20/11/2022 22:34

Hi guys 8dpo today and started testing it was obviously a bfn but not counting myself out until af arrives and it's nice to be excited to test each day lol

Saturnsmoon · 20/11/2022 23:36

Thanks ladies! @Laul89 @Roxybabe @Chrissy0 hoping we all get a sticky bfp soon.

Roxybabe · 21/11/2022 01:49

@Kittenmum89 i’m the same! I want it more then I thought!!

OP posts:
Kittenmum89 · 21/11/2022 08:20

@Roxybabe its wild how much it completely takes over you! I am currently 6 DPO and been having wee niggles all weekend with shooting pains at the side and cramps. So hard not to symptom spot 😭.

CreatingLittlePudding · 21/11/2022 09:02

Tested this morning and got the faintest second line ever! I'm only 9dpo so it could be an indent, camera didn't really pick it up so I've put a filter on and you can just about see it if you look hard enough. Anyone know how common indent lines are on easy at home tests?

End of November testers (TTC August Baby)
NarnieJoy · 21/11/2022 09:05

@CreatingLittlePudding from my reading - indents are not that common at all. Even a faint line is a line. So a cautious congrats 🥳 as I can deffo see that line xx

CreatingLittlePudding · 21/11/2022 09:11

@NarnieJoy thank you! I tested yesterday and it was clear bfn so thats why im confused as this one definitely has something there, way too faint to class it as a positive yet so I'll test again tomorrow 🤞🏻

ChloeN · 21/11/2022 09:21

@CreatingLittlePudding i can defo see something, I tested with that one 8/9dpo and thought I saw something but thought it was wishful thinking, it was there and much darker by 9/10dpo

BebeYoda · 21/11/2022 10:35

Can I join you? ☺️ I'm only 2DPO but already obsessing 😅 This is the first month we've properly tried in quite a few months. I'm 41 now so I doubt we have much time left. Sending babydust to all 🤗

laurenandluke2017 · 21/11/2022 10:35

TTC second child, fingers crossed!
