So sorry to hear this @MrsMargot I hope CRP find some answers and hope the D&C goes well. Sending love x

comingsoon786110 · 17/02/2023 14:30

So sorry @MrsMargot !

I have a question for those of you on GCSF injections. I am deciding whether to source the medication myself after they give me my prescription or use the pharmacy they recommend GlucoRx pharmacy and have the medication sent out to me? Does anyone know what works out cheaper?

I have heard it is really hard to source the medication so dont want to be struggling with that...

Any advice would be much appreciated!

HopefulH · 17/02/2023 15:49

Help! My period is now 4 days late, and I’m definitely not pregnant. I know when I ovulated so this makes me 18dpo now.

Has anyone else found the prednisolone and cyclogest combo post ovulation has delayed your period arriving? I stopped both 11dpo after a negative test as instructed. If you have found it’s effected your period - did it eventually arrive?

After being treated for Ashermans last year this is freaking me out because I feel like my period should be here but have had no spotting or anything.

tia xx

VenusStarr · 17/02/2023 15:55

Thinking of you today @MrsMargot ❤️ I hope the operation went smoothly.

@comingsoon786110 I have used Pearl pharmacy which is a few doors down from crp. Both times they ordered and it arrived the same day. It's £385 which is at the higher end. I think Lloyd's might be cheaper but my local ones were very vague about whether they could get it for me. I've not heard of that company, I think there's another online one called Zen that might be able to source gcsf, but again not tried them myself.

@HopefulH I'm sorry about the negative result. I usually find that my period starts within 3 days of finishing progesterone. Do you have any cramping that you'd usually get with your period? It's horrible being in limbo. Was this a superovulation cycle, or ttc naturally? X

HopefulH · 17/02/2023 16:02

@VenusStarr it was a letrozole cycle. I had a few cramps and PMS headaches a few days ago when it was due - but no bleeding. I’m so confused what’s going on. My cycle is pretty much always 28days so this is so strange, especially as I know when I ovulated. I’m so worried my body is just going to miss the period like it did last year when I had scarring. But I’ve had normal periods post my latest loss and it was a medicated miscarriage, so I can’t see how I’d have developed more scarring. So confused…

@MrsMargot I also hope your surgery went okay with Dr S. And hope you recover well and they manage to get some answers for you Xx

VenusStarr · 17/02/2023 16:24

That does sound confusing @HopefulH what was your lining like at your scan? When I had suspected scarring, my ultrasound showed 'something' so I would've thought that they would have seen something? Maybe try and call or send a message to see what they think? Hopefully it's just that your cycle is a little out but you'll bleed over the weekend. It's frustrating for you though. I really hope you haven't developed any scarring xx

Maxime34 · 17/02/2023 17:25

Hey @HopefulH the progesterone definitely lengthens my cycle so hopefully it's just that. I'd speak to your doctor if it doesn't come soon though so they're aware. Sorry to hear it wasn't a positive cycle we all know how tough it is to see negative tests xx

HopefulH · 17/02/2023 17:38

Thanks both @VenusStarr @Maxime34 I’ll ring CRP on Monday and see what they think. I wasn’t too upset to be honest that it didn’t work this month as I think I’d like to be on the hydroxy a bit longer before I get pregnant - plus I really didn’t expect it to work first cycle! Hope you are both good? X

VenusStarr · 17/02/2023 18:20

Fingers crossed af will arrive over the weekend @HopefulH

I'm ok, I'm back on hydroxy too in preparation for trying again. We finish the Doxycycline antibiotics today (dh is thrilled as they've really upset his tummy!) I had my 3 monthly bloods done this week, so once they're back, I'll order my superovulation meds - I'm doing it with gonal f and letrozole. Does anyone else use it? Got to be on estrogen too. I've got an ovitrelle left over from my last ivf cycle so will save a tiny bit of money. We will try in my April cycle as we're going on holiday in March.

Hope everyone is well ❤️

star2022 · 17/02/2023 18:59

@MrsMargot I'm so sorry 😢 I really hope you're ok as can be, thinking of you xx

@HopefulH Sorry to hear your first cycle hasn't worked, I've been on progesterone before for ivf and after stopping it, it usually arrives after 3/4 days for me so maybe it's just taking its time. I know how frustrating it can be though. I have heard steroids can also impact your cycle too so maybe just monitor and keep note of these dates so you know what to expect next time.

@VenusStarr Hope your cycle goes well in April fingers crossed for you, glad your antibiotics have finally finished and hopefully your holiday will keep you distracted and relaxed! I'm actually super shocked as dr s said I wouldn't be able to get my meds from my GP- I tried it anyway and have managed to get prescriptions for my hydroxy, steroids too (even though i'm not on them yet) letrozole and progesterone pessaries so its definitely worth asking, I've saved a ton!

Also, just to update, hubbys DNA sperm frag came back as borderline! But what I don't understand is when you google what levels should be it says below 30% is normal. Anyone know why dr s guidelines are so strict? Hubby's was 10.8 - not really sure what to do as he has already started Impryl start of this year and I don't know if Mr Gordons consultations are worthwhile for borderline results which may be normal according to other guidelines?! Still thinking to continue with SO in March as they say success is usually seen between 4-6th cycle anyway and by then I'm hoping his dna sperm gets better if he continues with Impryl..what would you guys do?

Hope you're all well xx

VenusStarr · 17/02/2023 19:11

@star2022 thank you. Feels close now. I've got one more period due just before our holiday, then we'll be ttc again 😬

That's good about your GP prescribing. Mine won't 😕 they wouldn't even give me progesterone in my last pregnancy. They do my regular bloods though, so I do save a bit.

With your dh's dna frag, I wouldn't have an appointment with Mr Gordon for that result. My dh's was 16.4% and he said he wasn't concerned. He suggest he did do the pcr test which showed the ureaplasma for us both - but if you wanted that, maybe just see if they'll send it you? The tests are £300 each, so if you can save on the consultation?Seems a waste of money to book a consultation. He's a nice man but for dh, there wasn't too much extra he suggested other than lifestyle. You could also get your dh's testosterone levels one at the GP - under 12 isn't great. Xx

VenusStarr · 20/02/2023 16:30

How's everyone getting on? Dh and I have had covid 😓 first time for both of us. I thought my nk cells were making me superhuman resistant! I'm nearly negative now. Trying not to worry myself that it will have zapped dh's sperm... does anyone know? X

Hayley220 · 20/02/2023 19:34

Hi @VenusStarr ahh noo hope you are feeling ok? We have had rubbish colds!! I dont know how it could affect sperm but I was thinking the same about us being run down. I just got a smily on CB digital this afternoon! So I am thinking wait until Thurs night to take progesterone to make sure I deffo have ovulated? Or would you take weds? 😳 xx

Hayley220 · 20/02/2023 19:36

@JessL12 wondering how you are getting on? Xx

HopefulH · 20/02/2023 20:03

@VenusStarr oh that’s pants! Sorry you’ve had Covid. I’ve heard both, that it doesn’t affect sperm, but also that it can significantly affect sperm quality… which isn’t helpful I realise. It depends who you ask! When were you looking to try again?

@Hayley220 I think Thursday night sounds a good enough time after your peak. Can I ask, what dose of cyclogest are you on and how long are you taking it for? It significantly delayed my period starting this cycle which has been really frustrating so I’m wondering if I should drop the dose or how long I’m on it for this cycle.

x

JessL12 · 20/02/2023 20:32

@Hayley220 Hey! I had my 10w scan today and baby is measuring perfectly. I had my blood tests today to test for extra chromosomes so have to now wait 10 days for the results. I’m so nervous for the results but the medication seems to be working at the moment so far 🤞🏻 how are you? xx

VenusStarr · 20/02/2023 20:35

Thank you @Hayley220 bizarrely I've had no cold symptoms, just felt really rundown and 'virusy', dh is absolutely full of cold. Polar opposite. First time I've been unwell in 3 years!
Yeh, I'd wait until Thursday to take progesterone. Fingers crossed for this cycle 🙏

Thank you @HopefulH I've read it can affect count 🤷🏻‍♀️ hopefully it will be ok. TTC in about 6 weeks. I'm going to order my superovulation meds next week. I'll be on gonal f, letrozole and estrogen. Been on hydroxy since early Feb too. Bloody typical we got covid now 🙄
I usually take 800mg of cyclogest and if negative, stop at 11dpo. It hasn't usually affected when af arrives for me. When I was under the implantation clinic, they had me on 400mg until positive test then upped to 800mg. X

comingsoon786110 · 21/02/2023 18:48

@VenusStarr thanks for your response! I just made an enquiry at my local pharmacy and they quoted me £376 for GCSF injections.

The pharmacy that CRP recommends have quoted either £390 or £425 depending on the brand that I chose. Thought I would share in case anyone else was curious!

@JessL12 thats such wonderful news! Im soo pleased for you! Xx

Hayley220 · 21/02/2023 21:10

@HopefulH my plan says 800mg (2x pessaries) at the time of ovulation xx

Hayley220 · 21/02/2023 21:13

I hope this is ok to post. I got a solid smily on a clear blue digital yesterday afternoon.. have also been taking easy @ home and using the Premom app. This is my chart.. I am just interested, when it starts dropping does that mean I have ovulated? This afternoon it was the highest ever then a few hours later it’s started to drop. Just wondering when ovulation actually occurs or would it be now.. and the egg hangs around for 12 hrs or so right? I have never tracked before so finding this all quite amazing to see on the tests!

comingsoon786110 · 21/02/2023 21:37

@Hayley220 hi there!

From my experience, when you have had your peak result you will usually ovulate around 24 to 36 hours after the surge. Which means if you had your surge today, you will ovulate tomorrow and Thursday will be 1dpo for you.

Just an FYI, clear blue digital and the easy @ home usually give me different peaks. I usually BD on all the days to make sure I am covered but i do find the easy @ home more reliable.

Hope this helps xx

VenusStarr · 22/02/2023 10:00

@comingsoon786110 thank you for sharing. It's good to have options for where to get it. Hope you're OK.

@JessL12 lovely news ❤️

Looks like you're close @Hayley220 🙏
