@bunnykins123 nk cells is the last thing i want to rule out now. I have had all other testing done and nothing has been wrong. If its egg quality then I guess i need to look at ivf but i do fall pregnant quickly, i am hoping its not down to egg quality but obviously dont know. Did they book your follow up when you had your blood tests? Or was this booked when your results came in.. did you have to keep calling and chasing?

Hayley220 · 25/10/2022 23:44

is there anyone else on here being seen at epsom nhs clinic where Shehata is also based? Just looking for some positivity really, its such a long wait to get the tests and results. I dont want to pay privately at crp because I couldnt afford that and IVF too (however i dont know if i need ivf yet) i am worried about egg quality at age 36 but dont know this for sure. Thats why i am ruling everything out first for nk cells.

bunnykins123 · 26/10/2022 09:17

@Hayley220 no, I had to chase. For me it wasn't a very efficient experience but given you're having a face to face conversation, you may be able to get more clarity from them on timelines. I don't have a follow up at this point. I haven't found many people at all on Dr S protocol via NHS. I am also going through registering for ivf at Dr S old clinic (it deals with immunology) as I've just turned 38 so don't really have time to waste paying ££££ on his protocol to be told I have dud eggs. My clinic will have me on his protocol for ivf. Have you had your AMH / fsh tested?

LuckyNo14 · 27/10/2022 07:27

How are you feeling @Tgrf55 ?

Hope everyone else is well.

Does anyone know how long Harmony tests results from Mr S clinic take to come back? I should have asked but I was in a rush to catch my train 🙈

Tgrf55 · 27/10/2022 07:38

@LuckyNo14 better thank you! I have a scan today and I’m so nervous I’ve barely slept. This is the longest I have gone without a scan so I think the anxiety is worse than usual.

my harmony results took 1 week but they say they can take up to 2 xx

LuckyNo14 · 27/10/2022 07:41

@Tgrf55 so glad you’re feeling better. Sending you love for your scan ❤️ Thank you, feel like I’m just forever waiting for the next thing 😂

Tgrf55 · 27/10/2022 07:45

@LuckyNo14 oh I know, it doesn’t change the further in you get either 🙈 I literally just think about the next scan all the time! Hope your harmony test results come back great, I’m sure they will. Thanks for your well wishes with my scan xx

Onwardsandupwards1206 · 27/10/2022 07:54

Hi everyone,
I'm currently 8+5 on Dr S plan. I have had a scan at 6+2 and 7+4, both went well. However, since 8+1 I have had a distinct change in my symptoms. My boobs have been so sore and now don't feel sore at all. My sickness has also massively improved. I've completely lost hope and wondering, as there seems to be lots of pregnant ladies on the thread at the moment, if you've felt anything similar?
Lots of love to everyone xx

LuckyNo14 · 27/10/2022 08:03

Hi @Onwardsandupwards1206 ive always had minimal symptoms but whatever symptoms I do have fluctuate. Some days I literally don’t feel any different. Other days my nipples ache beyond belief. I do remember though I had sore boobs from starting ivf until about 6-7 weeks. Now my boobs don’t hurt at all it’s just more my nipples?

Onwardsandupwards1206 · 27/10/2022 09:42

@LuckyNo14 thanks so much for your reply. That's quite reassuring to know yours eased up around 7wks. It's such an anxious time, every little feeling or lack of is stressful! X

Hayley220 · 27/10/2022 09:48

Im waiting for those results from another clinic atm.

can you let me know the ivf clinic? Im 36 so also dont have much time. Thanks xx

@bunnykins123

Tgrf55 · 27/10/2022 13:09

@Onwardsandupwards1206 are you taking prednisolone? It really does mask symptoms. I was always at the clinic in tears because my symptoms had disappeared but it was just from the pred. X

Onwardsandupwards1206 · 27/10/2022 13:18

@Tgrf55 that's really reassuring thank you. Yep I'm on Pred. I was prepared for symptoms to be less but I didn't expect them to be intense and then to lessen. Did you find your symptoms would come and go?

Tgrf55 · 27/10/2022 13:26

@Onwardsandupwards1206 yep, all the time. It really messes with your head. I remember at around 10 weeks I was convinced I’d had another MMC because my symptoms literally vanished overnight but the scan showed the baby bouncing away. I know it’s hard but try not to focus too much on the symptoms at this stage whilst you’re taking pred. I’m 19 weeks now and still panic when symptoms come and go it’s not easy but it’s definitely normal xxx

Onwardsandupwards1206 · 27/10/2022 14:07

Thanks so much @Tgrf55 that's so reassuring. I really appreciate it xx

Sezmarelda1 · 27/10/2022 20:26

How did your scan go today @Tgrf55 ?

@Onwardsandupwards1206 when are you due to have another scan? Hopefully it's not too long so you can get some reassurance. My pregnancy symptoms have been massively better on pred compared to previous pregnancies without pred. I didn't get much fluctuation but that's possibly because I didn't have many symptoms for them to be able to fluctuate. I had about 3 days where I felt dreadful with nausea but otherwise not too bad (and this is coming from someone that had to be signed off work due to nausea in all my previous non-pred pregnancies). I'm 18 weeks pregnant now and like @Tgrf55 I'm still really anxious.

@Sezmarelda1 it went really well thank you! So relieved. Baby is growing well and I’m now nearly 20 weeks. When is your next scan? Xx

Sezmarelda1 · 28/10/2022 04:20

I'm so pleased to hear it went well @Tgrf55 . My next scan is 10th Nov. It's a 3 week gap between scans this time which is the longest I've been, but then I've got two scans in the space of 5 days. Have you started to feel any movement yet?

OP posts:
Tgrf55 · 28/10/2022 05:27

@Sezmarelda1 This was a 3.5 week gap for me and that’s the longest I’ve gone too. It’s tough but you can do it! I’m the same as you, next week I have two scans. Yes I think I have! A few times I’ve felt a sudden ‘popping’ in my belly. I’ve never felt it before so I’m assuming it’s movement. I hope so anyway :-) have you felt anything?

Sezmarelda1 · 28/10/2022 05:35

Yes I've felt the odd flutter too @Tgrf55 :) It's not very strong just yet and I question whether I'm imagining it sometimes, but it feels like movement :)

OP posts:
Tgrf55 · 28/10/2022 05:38

@Sezmarelda1 exciting 😃it’s hard to know whether it’s in your head isn’t it. I have an anterior placenta so I wasn’t expecting to feel anything for a long time. I hope your next scan goes well keep me posted! And I hope the reason you’re up so early isn’t because you have heartburn like me 😂

Sezmarelda1 · 28/10/2022 05:47

Not heartburn but insomnia. It's gotten really bad in the last couple of weeks, I've been awake since about 3am 😫I have an anterior placenta too, I asked at a scan after we discussed this a few weeks ago. I had the same with my successful pregnancy and definitely felt movement before 20 weeks with him :)

OP posts:
Tgrf55 · 28/10/2022 05:52

That’s no fun. I had bad insomnia whilst I was taking the pred and it carried on for a good few weeks afterwards too. Thankfully I only tend to wake a few times in the night now but I was waking up every 90 mins or so before that, it was awful. The only thing that helps me is reading a book or watching tv. It’s so frustrating. I hope you manage to get some sleep. X

Sezmarelda1 · 28/10/2022 06:14

I was sleeping ok-ish whilst on my full dose of pred, in fact it's gotten worse since I started tapering off it, but that coincides with tapering off progesterone too and I've heard progesterone can improve sleep. I'm usually a pretty good sleeper but pregnancy gives me terrible insomnia, to the extent that I've wondered if it could have contributed to some of my miscarriages. I'll see if I can squeeze in a nap today, TV usually sends me to sleep too so I will try that.

Have you tried anything for the heartburn?

@Tgrf55 I’m so happy to hear your scan went well! What a relief for you after the last few weeks ❤️
