Ferti-Lily - is it really worth the hype?

Just after some opinions form anyone who has used a Ferti-Lily cup (or similar). Is it really as good as I've heard?

If you have used one, how many cycles did you go through before using and how many did it take while using it to get a BFP? Have you even had a BFP?

Do you think it has actually made a difference?

We are on cycle 8 of TTC #1 so willing to try anything at this point!

After just reading all your messages on here, I’ve purchased one.
im so curious as to how u actually use this? 😂😅

Namechanger355 · 05/08/2022 20:46

I tried it but tbh what worked for me was sperm meets egg method and lifting my lefts up for 15 mins

NSx · 05/08/2022 20:50

@Namechanger355 i did SMEP last cycle didn’t work, I’ll try again this month, how many cycles did it take for u?

Two cycles - but it will depend on quality of egg too I guess?

smep was exhausting and took the joy out of doing the deed - but we did stick to it

i guess it’s just maximising opportunities for the sperm to reach the egg so seems to make sense if that sperm and egg are otherwise healthy

and for me - keeping my legs up against a wall for a bit seemed to keep that sperm in place for a while - that technique also seemed to work for me with conceiving my DD1

NSx · 05/08/2022 21:13

I did that the first time round and it was fast but I don’t think I’ll be that lucky this time round - I’m Nervous so legit will try anything 😅 @Namechanger355

Got a BFP this morning! Only DTD once in my fertile week because of a stupidly late ovulation. First cycle of using the Ferti-Lily. Let’s hope it sticks now.

Good luck to everyone else, worth the £30 odd for sure for me.

Indianna2006 · 17/08/2022 14:59

I also got BFP yesterday after using fertilily. This was my 3rd cycle of using it.

But I had used it previously and gotten pregnant. I had used it the 6 times your allowed to and it looked a bit worn and so coloured so said I’ll buy a new one incase. So bought a new one this month. Bingo! Pregnant 🥰

100% it helps me.

ttc 11 cycles in totally before until:
fertilily has helped me get pregnant
cycle 1 of using it (cycle 11) mmc
cycle 1 again - chemical
cycle 3 - this pregnancy 🤞🏼

Heya,

I searched this thread a few months ago when I was debating trying it.

Was ttc for 5 cycles and used fertilily on the last one three times. Got my BFP a few days ago. Not sure if it was help from the fertilily or just luck but I think it's worth the shot.

Wishing everyone on this thread lots of luck ☘ 😊

Baw92 · 10/11/2022 21:47

I tried for 4 months to conceive post miscarriage and no luck. I’ve just got a positive test after 5th cycle - the first one using the ferti lily. For transparency, it was also my second cycle on clomid and I started acupuncture on day 1 of this cycle too

NSx · 10/11/2022 22:28

@baw92 May I ask what the reasons are if you starting clomid? Did you have tests done?

Baw92 · 11/11/2022 07:34

Yes after 2 recent miscarriages ( and a third 10 years ago) I got some tests done. At a scan they said my ovaries looked polycystic- too many eggs - so I likely wasn’t releasing an egg every cycle and when I was it was probably underdeveloped

NSx · 11/11/2022 08:15

@Baw92 sorry that you were having difficulty, but congrats that you got there in 5 cycles 💕✨ that’s really an achievement I’m onto my 5th cycle just now after a loss in May and I feel like it’s never going to happen. 😭

Baw92 · 11/11/2022 08:34

Thank you. My loss was in May too. I’d recommend trying the ferti lily and acupuncture if you can. It’s the only thing I did different (as I started clomid the cycle before)

NSx · 11/11/2022 08:49

I’ve been using the fertilily for 3 cycles now and no joy. I’ve looked at acupuncture - I’m interested - what does it actually do? How often do you go? @Baw92

Baw92 · 11/11/2022 08:51

I’ve been going weekly, it’s meant to encourage blood flow to the womb etc to support implantation and pregnancy. The other thing I did this cycle was relax a bit - so much easier than said I know after a loss but I tried to get stuck in at work, make plans a few months in advance that would involve drinking etc to look forward to.
the NHS do recommend acupuncture too though so it’s definitely not a fad x

Amyjones86 · 11/11/2022 08:58

I bought a replica version from ebay to see how I got on. I compared it to my SILs Fertilily and it is exactly the same and only £8 something. It has worked every time for me since starting using it. Though I have recurrent miscarriage, 4 this year but I do think this helped me conceive having tried for nearly for years for my son!

NSx · 11/11/2022 09:13

@Baw92 is it just fertility acupuncture ? i need to look into this definitely…

@Amyjones86 i got the fertility from boots but so far isn’t working for me, how long do you leave it in?

Amyjones86 · 11/11/2022 13:34

I leave it for 1 hour and then take it out. Good luck.

NSx · 11/11/2022 13:37

@Amyjones86 thank you 💕

Gh67 · 16/12/2022 07:20

Please can I ask how deep do you insert the fertilily cup up there? Bought one and can’t wait to try it this around . New to here, I’m turning 38, currently on cycle 4, and trying for our first one

Ellbell1234 · 28/12/2022 18:44

Hi! Quite new to this forum :) I’m currently on my 5th cycle TTC. This time I’ve used the fertilily cup for the first time. I got my first static smiley this morning, we have had sex everyday since Christmas Eve & will do it again tomorrow. Not sure if it’s ovulation pains or period like cramping from the cup, it felt fine once it was in but I’ve had cramping ever since I’ve took it out:( not sure if I’ve had it up too far or for too long or I’ve pulled it out too hard. But anyway I’ve heard good reviews so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 xx

Gh67 · 29/12/2022 21:55

same, it’s my first time using the cup for this cycle! Definitely less leakage, you might pull it down a bit too hard, I feel it’s like a suction pad inside, when you pull, just pinch the bottom where two dots are, so it will get some air into the cup, then it’s much easier to pull it out. I use this cycle as practice for the cup, will see what happens, my ovulation period should finish today, good luck to both of us 🤞🏼

ahhh yeah maybe I need to practise pulling it out better then thank you I’ll try that next time instead of panicking & yanking. Lol. How many months have you been trying to conceive for? I’m due on my period 11th Jan. wishing you lots of luck!

Gh67 · 29/12/2022 22:24

we’ve only tried for 2-3 months so far, but already set my anxious level through the roof last 2 cycles (I’m over 35 btw) We both quite like the cup as I just like shouting pass me the plug after dtd 😂

emhope · 30/12/2022 09:58

I was trying for 8 cycles after an MMC and nothing but BFN’s. Tried the fertilily for the first time on the 9th cycle and just got my BFP 😊 Obviously could have been a coincidence but I honestly do feel like it helped as kept everything up there!
