I’m now 3dpo and trying to feel positive. My OPK peak times up with when I had EWCM and I’m sure I had some ovulation pain on Thursday. I’ve never realised it before now but I nearly always have a pain for a few hours in between AF’s so guess I nearly always have it but never paid any attention to what is was or why. Even though the timings all line up I still have a fear that I ovulated much later and missed dtd at the right time. I know it’s irrational 😂

@Angie2018 i tried to feel for my cervix but realised I’ve never really tried to feel it before so don’t know what I’m comparing it to 😂 I don’t know how mine feels usually so none the wiser

@allgoodthings84 maybe if you keep doing it you will start to get a feel for when it's high / low / soft / hard.... that's how I realised. But when it's low and hard you will KNOW. So if you can't feel it and your period is due soon that's a bloody good sign!!

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 18:42

@Angie2018 i can just about feel it but no idea if what I feel is considered hard or not 😂 I’ve got 6 days until I’m due on I think.

I’ve googled a lot and a lot say it’s not always a good way to do it as it varies woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy and sometimes won’t rise until after a period is due so it may be able to tell you if you are pregnant but wouldn’t be able to tell you at this stage if you’re definitely not

@OCM19 @Angie2018 thank you! If I take the 2nd peak test then I'm guessing I'm around 5 dpo

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 18:46

@allgoodthings84 yeah defo it can change depending on women to women & also it is normally high in the morning and lower at night.... and sometimes it takes longer to move up for pregnancy and longer to move down for AF 🙈

Tubbytele · 24/06/2022 18:46

@allgoodthings84 I'm like that with my cervix lol I try to test it and have no idea if it's any different to usual

ummidreams · 24/06/2022 18:53

Hello
I hope it's okay to join. The tww wait is just feeling extra crazy long this cycle. 5/6dpo. First cycle on progesterone from ovulation. No real symptoms, any symptoms I think are just in my head. Just waking to pee at night when usually I wouldn't need to.

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 18:57

@Angie2018 @Tubbytele definitely don’t think I can go by this on this cycle ha ha. I don’t know where it normally is or where it was during ovulation or how it normally feels.

at least as I have no idea I’m not thinking that I must definitely be out as I know I would do if I knew it felt no different.

TMI but when I pulled my finger out it came out with a glob of CM on it 😂

@ummidreams hi welcome to the thread. We are all enjoying posting here to help us get through the 2ww. I’m not feeling very hopeful but keep telling myself to try and feel more positive or this could be a looonnggg road of misery ha ha

Cdoc · 24/06/2022 19:05

Sorry ladies just catching up, how is everyone doing?

welcome @ummidreams ! We are all in our tww and trying to get each other through 🤞🏼🤞🏼Feel free to symptom spot, we’ve been doing a lot of that 🤣
I am super gassy and crampy today, but that also happens the week before AF so doesn’t mean anything.

@allgoodthings84 your comments around finding your cervix really made me laugh 🤣I wouldn’t have a clue what it’s supposed to feel like either!
Another day down!

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 19:21

@allgoodthings84 🤣🤣🤣

The CM is a good sign I think!!

It did take me a while to get the hang of my cervix but now I know I check all the time if I suspect something 🤣

vitahelp · 24/06/2022 19:22

@Tubbytele @ummidreams Welcome! It’s really helped being able to check in on this thread and talk to others in the same boat. I hope it helps you too.

@Cdoc Yes another day down! I’ll be 7dpo tomorrow so officially in the potential implantation window - cue obsessive bbt analysing and looking for implantation bleeding!

OCM19 · 24/06/2022 19:31

😘@ummidreams @vitahelp we are all around 6DPO and most of us on this group are testing next Thursday/Friday … ahh so exciting!

I made the decision last week to start looking for new jobs. Originally when we decided to TTC our second in January I was going to hold off and stay where I am (I work in Employment Law so if any of you have any questions on entitlements etc feel free to ask 😉) but I just feel like I’m putting my career progression on hold for something that may never happen. Although secretly I’m hoping I will apply for a role and then find out I’m pregnant as I just know that’s pot luck when a position I like becomes available! I’ve got an interview next week so we will see 🤞. x

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 19:35

Last month I wasn’t ttc but did OPK to find out more about my body and it was the one and only month in at least the last 7 years that my cycle messed up so was none the wiser 😂. I peaked overnight CD17/18 that cycle so my cycle was 33 days long as the late ovulation pushed back AF. My cycle is NEVER longer than 28 days and even that is long for me as mine as 26/27 days and regular. I got a shock! Then on 9DPO I started to spot when if I do spot it’s only ever day or so before AF not 5/6 days before and it was every day up to AF. It was such a weird cycle and typically when I was trying to learn about my body.

This cycle I peaked afternoon on CD11 which is much more normal for my cycle length so seems to be back to normal. I think it was me stressing last month that delayed it all.

so tomorrow I’m 9dpo so will be hoping so much I don’t start to spot like last cycle

@OCM19 good luck for your interview next week 😊. I hope you get the job AND your bfp! You’re so right! We shouldn’t put our life on hold as none of us know how long it will take etc

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 19:46

@OCM19 ah I think that's the right attitude to be honest!! Because we just don't know when this will happen!!

I hope you get your new job & the BFP you deserve 🥰

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 19:48

@allgoodthings84 it's bloody typical tbh that as soon as you TTC cycles mess up! I felt the same but I think for me I was being hyper sensitive about everything I felt. Like now 🤣 "is that a boob twinge" oh I'm out 🙈

Ahhh you may start to get implantation symptoms soon x

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 20:02

@Angie2018 in some ways (if I am pregnant) then I hope I don’t get implantation symptoms as then I’ll start to worry that I’m spotting early again and stress myself out. If it is actually implantation though I’ll take that 😂

OP posts:
Cdoc · 24/06/2022 20:15

@vitahelp oooh bring on the implantation window! That feels like a milestone in what is the longest tww ever.

@OCM19 agree it is definitely the right attitude, it would be absolutely typical that the moment you find something good, you would fall pregnant. I suppose either is a good outcome 🤞🏼Fingers crossed!

@Angie2018 @allgoodthings84 oh god yes the boob twinge, the extra gassy tummy, the slight sore throat, we notice everything! Even things we’d never normally pay attention to. One day closer to testing!

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 20:37

@allgoodthings84 that's what I did last month! God so upset and down because I thought my period had come a week early.... infact it was implantation 🤣

Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 20:38

@Cdoc I know right it's painful!!

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 21:06

How is everyone feeling tonight?

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 21:15

@allgoodthings84 fed up of the TWW already 🤣 how are you feeling??

allgoodthings84 · 24/06/2022 21:28

@Angie2018 completely normal no symptoms or anything. I’m tired but at this time it’s normal to feel a bit sleepy

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 24/06/2022 21:34

@allgoodthings84 so many people don't have symptoms until after a missed period so that's normal. I don't have any either! Hoping I get some next week 🤪
