I’m now 3dpo and trying to feel positive. My OPK peak times up with when I had EWCM and I’m sure I had some ovulation pain on Thursday. I’ve never realised it before now but I nearly always have a pain for a few hours in between AF’s so guess I nearly always have it but never paid any attention to what is was or why. Even though the timings all line up I still have a fear that I ovulated much later and missed dtd at the right time. I know it’s irrational 😂

Those are good signs!! I decided to busy myself with a shower and hair wash just now, & I had some cramping in the shower, mild, but sort of on and off just now. That's never happened to me before. I am only 4dpo, it's defo the right cramps and not stomach ache.... I suspect it's too early but it's weird!! Also super tired today 🙈

@Angie2018 That sounds really hopeful! I’m planning a nice shower later with new body scrub & shower gel, hoping it’s will cheer me a bit during this 2WW!!

@Tubbytele It was lovely but always feel rough after waking up! Going to try a mini workout soon to perk me up a bit, could go either way though!

OCM19 · 25/06/2022 18:02

@Angie2018 @vitahelp im going to have a nice soak in the bath when DS is in bed, and really try to unwind and listen to my body.

then, I’m going to watch in the club - does anyone remember it, it was a BBC drama about a group of antenatal pregnant women 🤦‍♀️ (Yes I am obsessed with pregnancy ) my DH is going to be thrilled! X

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 18:13

@vitahelp ah enjoy that! Sometimes self care is what you need in this horrible TWW!!

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 18:15

@OCM19 ah that sounds lovely! I am just making dinner, going to eat on the sofa 🤫 and watch rubbish tv all night!!

Haha I don't remember it but have heard of it. Any good? X

Think I’m out ladies 😞

9dpo and spotting when wiping again. This is the second month now. I don’t know why it’s suddenly started doing this. It’s only happened since we have decided to ttc so last cycle and this one!

I don’t think it’s implantation spotting as started at the same time last cycle too. This doesn’t normally happen until day before AF and that definitely isn’t going to be here tomorrow. I don’t know why it’s suddenly started happening now and why not before it makes no sense

I hope you’re okay, it could still be implantation bleeding but it’s good that your keeping expectations in check since it follows a similar pattern to last month. It’s so frustrating when cycles suddenly change like this and cause confusion.

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 18:45

@allgoodthings84 you aren't out until AF shows!

How long is your luteal phase? Because maybe your cycles are getting shorter? Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Spotting can be normal before AF but also during pregnancy. Do you have any other implantation symptoms? You may be just having just a couple of hormonal fluctuations this month and last for some reason. Please don't think the worst. Last month MAY have been weird or a chemical & this month may be either as well. I mean 9dpo is the most likely day for implantation, and it's pink blood not red. It may well be AF starting but it may not be.

Big hugs! You aren't out until AF shows her ugly head in full flow x

OCM19 · 25/06/2022 18:54

@allgoodthings84 it may still be implantation bleeding, every cycle is so different. I hope you’re ok, sending you big hugs 😘

@Angie2018 @vitahelp it’s not on iplayer (I’m sad and have the dvds 🫣), but yes, would definitely recommend if you can get hold of them. The first series is pregnancy, the second is motherhood, it’s good.

also, this is going to hurt was on BBC a few months ago, that was also good but totally different.

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 18:56

@OCM19 ah thank you! I shall have a search!

X

allgoodthings84 · 25/06/2022 18:58

nah my cycle is always 26/27 days apart from last month which was a freak 33 days because of the late ovulation. If it’s decided to shorten right now just at the time of the first month we properly ttc I’ll be pissed off 😂. My LP isn’t short I don’t think. It was 13 days last month before AF properly started on dpo 14 and from the date I’m due on AF from when I ovulated this month it looks to be that it should be the same LP as last cycle. Last cycle was a freak late ovulation but my LP was the same as AF was the same amount of days late so AF was late too. I can’t see my AF being this early as I’m only CD21 and it’s never been this short and I ovulated at normal time for my normal cycle length this cycle

It’s because it happened same time last cycle too which makes me certain I’m out. I just don’t know why it’s only now happening.

allgoodthings84 · 25/06/2022 19:03

@OCM19 I’m ok I’m just more concerned why my body is only just now doing this than knowing I’m out. If I knew I was out but not having this happening then I would be ok as I know it’s unlikely to happen the first month ttc

i will give it a couple more cycles (as not ttc next cycle because of timing we can’t) then maybe try and speak to a doctor if it does it those cycles

I don’t think I have any implantation or AF symptoms apart from this spotting when wiping. I feel fine and normal

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 19:09

@allgoodthings84 it's good though that your LP remained the same after a late ovulation, you've also got a decent LP length. It really could just be normal spotting.

If you aren't TTC next month maybe get checked? They can poke around and have a good look whilst you aren't TTC?

allgoodthings84 · 25/06/2022 19:25

@Angie2018 next month I definitely can’t as the reason we can’t ttc is that we are away with family and sharing a room with my 7 year old and then before and after I’m at work every day at a busy time for me. As it’s only just started happening I was thinking see how it goes next cycle when we aren’t ttc and see if any difference. At least it’s not a heavy spotting (nothing in knickers) and I’m certain AF won’t be here tomorrow as I have no other signs of it

I wouldn’t even be thinking anything of this if I wasn’t ttc 🤦‍♀️ I remember asking at my cervical screening back in September if the spotting is normal as I went the day before AF due so they noticed a tiny bit of blood on the swab but wasn’t enough to make the test invalid or anything and she said it was absolutely normal and nothing to worry about but I’m now thinking if it’s starting this soon before AF surely I can’t be pregnant or get pregnant as it can’t be implanted properly

Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 19:31

@allgoodthings84 oh buggar that's annoying!! I think you have the right approach to be honest, give it another couple of cycles and see what happens!

I still wouldn't write yourself off, the spotting may not be related to hormones as such, I had an ectropion and that used to cause spotting 4/5 days before AF until treated, that wasn't hormone related and I was told it will have zero affect on fertility. So you still / may implant with the spotting, if spotting is AF related you may just not get it if you fall pregnant, it could be implantation spotting.....

Too many variables. I get though there is nothing worse than having a weird cycle or two when you are TTC !! Bloody annoying!

allgoodthings84 · 25/06/2022 19:38

@Angie2018 yea it’s doing my head in as it was all exactly the same every month at least for the last 6.5 years (can’t remember before that) before we started ttc.

oh well what will be will be just have to see what happens I guess. At least now I’m not going to be symptom spotting all week as in my head I’m out 😂

OP posts:
Angie2018 · 25/06/2022 19:42

@allgoodthings84 it's so annoying isn't it! I feel your pain. I guess like you say what will be will be and that's all he can think about. That's true, it's saving you the remainder of the TWW stress 🙈
