I've been coming on here since we started trying I've learnt most of things about TTC ovulation etc off Mumsnet, I never thought to make an account because I'm 24 my OH is 34, I thought it would happen straight away! It didn't, I come off my pill on NYE 2021 which I had been on for 6 years but when February hit my periods were bang on 28 days apart so very regular so I assumed I was ovulating (still hope I am) but I have been tracking on 2 apps and then I have used ovulation tests and even the conceive + gel the past 2 months! I'm gutted as I wish I would of come off my pill earlier. I'm worried, I know I'm overthinking it too much to be honest but I just thought it won't hurt speaking to someone that's been in the same boat, He has got 1 child to previous, so I'm starting to panic that it's me. Anyone else been through this or do we need to get checked after 6 months of trying? Thanks in advance :) worry wart here!

@Angie2018 Me Too! 😩 I'm terrible & will probably start testing on cheapies next week even though I know it's to early 🤣 just to get disappointed every time 🙈🙈 xx

Angie2018 · 21/06/2022 12:34

@hevann I haven't tested early before I've always waited, but part of me thinks that from 9/10dpo a FRER may be able to pick it up and so if I got even a v faint positive it may cut the torture down by a few days 🤣 xx

Freespirit98 · 07/09/2022 10:12

Hi everyone sorry I've not been on. So we found out I was 5 weeks pregnant last month & I then miscarried 😥 I'm not sure if anyone's still on here but I don't thought I'd do a post. I haven't been able to talk really so i thought it was best not to come on to not trigger myself as am heartbroken, hope you are all well 🥰 xx

@Freespirit98 hey, i am so sorry to hear your news :( I have just read the entire thread as I can relate to you all on how sad it is when you're ttcing
Again, so very sorry, we haven't been pregnant yet but I can imagine it being so very heartbreaking... will you investigate the reason for the miscarriage?

Thank you so much for your kind words it means a lot!! It was awful and we were so happy it really did break me and now I'm confused what's going on with my body! Waiting for a period but the pains I'm getting recently are worse than the actual miscarriage itself! :( The midwife told me to just keep an eye on bleeding and clots and to go to a&e if it gets heavy, which I didn't I was ok in the end, she said try again when I'm ready, so suppose there's not much else I can do! Apparently your very fertile after a miscarriage not sure the reason must be hormones, so going to do a test to be sure as it's been nearly 5 weeks and no period! Sending you all the baby dust and so much good luck!! X

Some are more sensitive than others, Try a first response as they can be more sensitive. And a very tentative congratulations to you!

TheJudgment · 10/09/2022 08:02

Just read your message properly, could this be hormones still raised from your miscarriage?

have you had a period in between?

I was older and had similar. You need a day 21 progesterone test. I had ovulation issues despite having regular periods. Clomid tablets resolved them while tic and I’ve got lots of children now!

BloodyCamping · 10/09/2022 08:50

Fingers crossed!!

Hi! I only knew I was having a miscarriage because I kept doing tests once I found I was pregnant the first time round then one day they were all negative :( bleeding started a few days later and then all negative tests after bleeding had stopped. So I don't think so! X

Thank you, no I didn't have a period other than the bleeding from the miscarriage but yes all negative tests after now this I have posted this morning! But midwife said it was ok to try straight away when I'm ready just didn't think it would happen this quick, I'm a bit scared to get my hopes up again just incase. According to the app I'm 4 weeks+3 but I have an app tomorrow (only phone call though) hoping they'll bring me in for a blood test!

Yes, Aunt Flo came today.. it was my fifth cycle trying to conceive baby no.2! My son (who is now 3) was conceived first time DTD without contraception and I got pregnant quickly again in January but sadly that ended in miscarriage.

Doesn't seem to be so easy this time.

@Freespirit98 I spoke to my doctor a few weeks ago who told me the year wait is a myth - and that if you're concerned about fertility issues you can speak to your gp at any time and they will refer you, as he said to me, the quicker you are referred the quicker you can be treated.

Not sure if everyone's GP will be the same but it's worth a try
