Hi @overthinkersanonnymus yep that's right- as soon as you stop bleeding you're good to go, but in the app, you would still log your period so it can get your ovulation date correct. It's easy once you've done it once!

Would really recommend it, I found it so useful with irregular cycles especially. It would have taken me so much longer to conceive.

overthinkersanonnymus · 28/03/2023 18:21

@theblueflowers thank you! Also one more question 😂

If you have sex at night, do you you pop it in before going to sleep? Like, even though there will be semen in there? Which sounds stupid now I've written it out lol!

theblueflowers · 28/03/2023 18:23

@overthinkersanonnymus yep! I won't lie, it is slightly gross taking it out in the morning, but I like to think that it might have helped them stay up in the right place!

MO22 · 28/03/2023 21:48

@overthinkersanonnymus I almost felt like, even tho is gross, it kept the sperm up there lol! I know some people bought cups or similar that keeps the sperm up there so what's the difference 😂

I'm the same as @theblueflowers (hello!) and would really recommend it!

amazing to hear lots of you had positive stories! Im back here again with my new sensor purchased, patiently waiting for my periods to return, but going to use the sensor for a while to see what my baseline temp is before hopefully ttc in the new year!

Hi there,

I’ve been lurking around mumsnet for over a year now and I’ve finally plucked up the courage to post. I have PCOS and we’ve been TTC for 1.5 years. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions. After reading threads on mumsnet, I bought ovucore and I’m in cycle 1, day 23.

Up until last night graph was displaying an ovulation window and now it’s disappeared. I’ve gone from being super positive to anxious and upset. Does anyone know why this has happened? I’ve added images of a graph with the ovulation window and an image of it having disappeared.

It looks like you have ovulated by the way the temperature has dipped and then started to increase. When I used OvuSense this would often happen where the window would disappear and then take a couple of days to register it so I think it looks like this could happen for you.

BakingAlly09 · 10/12/2023 19:35

I thought the same but, because it’s my first cycle and I have pcos I was questioning myself. I’ve contact the support team at OvuSense who have told me they’re sending my data to the technical team to reviews. I’m hoping it’s a glitch.

it’s good to know I’m not the only one this has happened to. Not ideal when you’re a nervous wreck as it is.

Peonies94 · 11/12/2023 18:39

@BakingAlly09 thT chart looks good to me, and it should confirm ovulation, I’d say those temps look like you did indeed ovulate! Let us know what the support says though!

I heard back from them:

Thank you for your patience I have now heard back from the technician.

The recent dip has created a little uncertainty over the ovulation day, hence the window going, but if you continue to track your data it may yet provide a confirmation.

However, when I logged into the app today the ovulation window was there along with a message confirming when I’d ovulated 😊

RL1991 · 11/12/2023 22:03

That will be a relief for you😁 Fingers crossed for a positive test🤞🏼

Peonies94 · 12/12/2023 17:56

@BakingAlly09 yayy! I’m glad it’s sorted itself out! Frustrating when it doesn’t work properly!

So it looks like I didn’t ovulate this cycle! It’s my first month using Ovusense in over a year and a half and just ordered my replacement sensor. I used it for 2 weeks, 30odd days into my cycle (I’m having really long cycles) one 38 days and one 49. And well i got my period 2 weeks later and it didn’t look like I ovulated!
my temps stayed pre ovultion temp. I’ve attached 2 charts ones from when I conceived and one from this month!

@BakingAlly09 hows it going for you?

Hello, I’m due to go away for the weekend but, I have carry on luggage only. Does anyone know if I can take my OvuSense through security without taking it out and declaring it as an electrical item? I’m anxious about needing to explain what it is in front of strangers or being told I can’t pass through security with it. Thanks in advance.

Loz365 · 11/04/2024 19:38

@BakingAlly09 I've taken mine abroad, left it in my hand luggage and got through security without any issues!
