@Theawkwardblonde that was the same for us first time around! We thought I was pregnant at Christmas. So so so sure but no af came so the Jan we had the blues and only dtd twice the day before and of ovulation as we were fed up. It's weird how it works in the end.

@anibendod that's so weird - how are you now?

@hevann happy fertile period!! 🤞

@lj2022 not had that myself. How are you feeling otherwise?

@Bear486 congratulations!!

@Brightonbelle87 @Dreamingof3 love the knitting! Crocheting things for my DS was one of my fav things to do while pregnant

I'm 1 dpo today! 🤞🤞🤞

keeponsmiling2019 · 03/05/2022 14:58

@Brightonbelle87 no sign of AF, still have all the symptoms and nipples are actually painful now. If I make it until Thursday morning without AF I'll start getting excited again but can't face another BFN.

Good luck to everyone for May.

lj2022 · 03/05/2022 15:04

@LemonZestDribbles yep it's unusual my first time in 6 cycles having it but it's completely stopped now. Feeling okay otherwise just really emotional but that's nothing new for me especially when I have a lot on at work 😂 oh 1dpo for you how are you feeling ? I find the first week a lot easier as I know it's too early for symptoms so feeling quite relaxed but maybe that's because we only DTD once during my fertile window so I think there's no chance this month

Brightonbelle87 · 03/05/2022 15:50

@LemonZestDribbles well done for doing crochet I'm far too clumsy for it! They're great evening activities, stops me from doom scrolling.

@keeponsmiling2019 these few days can be so infuriating, feels like time is at a standstill. Lets keep hoping for sore boobs and no AF x

dollface22 · 03/05/2022 16:43

Hello for anyone that's TTC no.2 or 3.. how long did it take you to conceive bby no.1? Thanks 🙏🏻

I'm just having a hard time getting my head around my age this time Confused

WingingIt09 · 03/05/2022 17:56

@lj2022 how odd, our bodies like to do weird things just to confuse us!

@FourOclock that's exciting! Let us know how it goes

@keeponsmiling2019 fingers crossed you get a BFP soon

@dollface22 we've been very lucky. DD1 conceived first month trying. Pregnancy 2 was first month also and then sadly miscarried. DD2 (pregnancy #3) was first cycle after my miscarriage. Hoping that continues this time 🤞🏻

DanceWithYourBalloon · 03/05/2022 18:12

@dollface22 my first took 4 months, second was first attempt. Currently on cycle 3 for number 3!

@Bear486 congratulations 🥳

Dreamingof3 · 03/05/2022 18:22

@dollface22 my first 2 pregnancies were conceived on contraception 🙈 (1st was mc at 12 weeks) 2nd child took 5 months but that was with no tracking etc.

FourOclock · 03/05/2022 18:58

@dollface22 my first took around 12 months in the end I think, but 6 months of properly trying (I forget exactly). Second took 2 months and third took one month Smile

LaVitesse7 · 03/05/2022 19:48

Hi everyone! My partner and I have finally decided to start trying for a baby (after nearly 17 years together 😂) Very new to mumsnet and to this whole baby world!

Sending you all lots of luck x

Anonymouslyposting · 03/05/2022 22:59

@dollface22 DD was the first month trying - after most of my friends’ stories of struggling it was a bit of a shock but we got lucky.

Anonymouslyposting · 03/05/2022 23:01

Having a bit of a freak out today. According to Flo I’m on cycle day 12 and due to ovulate on Sunday the 8th so we are just coming into the fertile window. We’ve DTD every day since Saturday but I’m getting a bit stiff and scared when I think about it too much. Need to give myself a pep talk!

Theawkwardblonde · 03/05/2022 23:23

@dollface22 it took 18 months for us to conceive DD. That was with 3 losses along the way (although conceived 7 months in - 1st loss).

HeathenPlayingHouse · 04/05/2022 10:19

@dollface22 It took us 4 years, but that was with fertility drug-resistant PCOS so definitely not what would be considered a "standard" length of time.

CD11 and the bleeding stopped yesterday, even managed to BD without trouble. My OPK yesterday was almost blank it was so light, so I'm just going to take this cycle as it comes.

I started back on Keto as well, that's what I did to lower my BMI enough to qualify for Clomid treatment. I just want to see if it will help keep the bleeding to a normal amount.

SarahShorty · 04/05/2022 10:33

DTD against last night (CD16), today CD17 my boobs are feeling heavy and a little bit sore and LH test read 0.89 high, so ovulation can't be far now. Getting excited!

SarahShorty · 04/05/2022 10:35

again* although against is probably valid if the headboard was shaking 😜😆

LemonZestDribbles · 04/05/2022 11:03

@lj2022 I keep thinking about oooh that could be a symptom and then needing to have a chat with myself about how there's nothing to spot at 2dpo 🤣🤣 I'm hoping that little spotting is a positive sign

@Brightonbelle87 I'm the same with knitting- too much math for me. Love a crafty evening

@LaVitesse7 welcome to the world of crazy!! Are you starting right away?

@HeathenPlayingHouse keto is so good for weightless - saw so many people get pregnant on it too

@SarahShorty yay for nearly ov day

My ds had me up between 2am and 4am hopping about his travel cot like a bunny and throwing his soft toys at me (I'm staying at my parents atm so he's in my room). Absolutely shattered today now

LucyLoopyLu · 04/05/2022 11:11

Hi all 🤗 just read through all the replies to catch up.

2nd month in a row I didn't get any EWCM so I'm wondering if I didn't actually ovulate. I guess having covid might have prevented ovulation this month, although it can't have affected the month before. Not getting my hopes up for this time anyway. AF due around the 15th so I am just concentrating on eating healthily, restarting running slowly, getting back on track after being on holiday/ having covid / holiday again.

Onwards and upwards 😊 hope everyone is OK

SarahShorty · 04/05/2022 11:16

@LemonZestDribbles Yes! Hopefully this is the month, fingers and toes tightly crossed. Awww your DS sounds cute! Was he just restless or just wanting to play?

HeathenPlayingHouse · 04/05/2022 11:28

@LemonZestDribbles It definitely is a big help! It didn't manage to get me pregnant last time, but I felt so much better about myself- not because of the weight loss, but because it was something that I could control when everything else was going pear-shaped (pun intended Smile).

To be honest, between the constant bleeding, and feeling stressed from life in general, I've kinda felt like I've been losing myself. So I'm actually enjoying taking control of this one little bit again!

dollface22 · 04/05/2022 13:16

Thanks ladies for replies Flowers
I had LLetz surgery at 24 after abnormal cells and was told by the consultant that if I had to have anymore laser surgery I may not be able to conceive in the future.
Scared the crap out of me so I TTC and it took me 3 months to get pregnant at 27.
Now at 35 I'm scared of it being different! That it will take me longer.

Currently taking daily
Vitamin d
seven seas preconceive
Baby aspirin
And a multivitamin

What is everyone else taking ?

SarahShorty · 04/05/2022 15:15

@dollface22 Pregnacare vitabiotics for him and her. Saw it recommended somewhere so just have it on a Subscribe and Save Amazon deal until we conceive 🙂

Brightonbelle87 · 04/05/2022 18:56

@HeathenPlayingHouse glad the bleeding has stopped, hopefully you'll have some time for your body and mind to recover. You've been through the wringer!

Had a bit of a wobble today, was working from home typing away but then got really tired and started feeling like a fat and lazy lump, had to lie down on the sofa to recover. I just felt so useless! Very weird, must be hormones.

@dollface22 I've been taking folic acid 5mg on prescription for about a year and an iron supplement from Holland and Barrett.

@LemonZestDribbles ahh the shape of things to come!

LaVitesse2022 · 04/05/2022 19:34

@LemonZestDribbles thank you! Yes, starting straight away, it just so happens we had the conversation like 2 days ago and my NC app says I'm in "peak fertility" so let's go all in! (pun intended 😆 )

@dollface22 just started taking folic acid and trusting my regular diet and exercise takes care of the rest. Let's see how that goes

LucyLoopyLu · 04/05/2022 22:45

@Brightonbelle87 those hormones are weird things! Hope you're feeling better now. Glad you had time to lie down for a while. I think it helps to remember how busy your body is and not feel guilty about having a rest when you need it!
