Hoping for a BFP in March

Hey

I thought I would start a group for those of us hoping for a nice and positive pregnancy test in March!

I am TTC after 2MC and a chemical. I have a son who is 2.5years and I will be 41 next month 😳. I have an appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic in a weeks time. I am keeping positive though and staying hopeful. 2022 is our year.

I am currently CD11 and giving the sperm meets egg plan a go!

@BabyBird20

Ooh *@Natalie2304 and @Kitty901* what does the vitamin c and b6 do? I have pcos so always have pretty irregular cycles but we're usually over 30 days. Since ds came along I'm down to anything from 26 to 34 days so it's impossible to tell when/if I ovulate most months. This month I randomly ovulated on day 13!? Now feel like my period is going to arrive any minute even though it's not due til Saturday! It's all so confusing!
I take Vitamin B6 with the hope to extend my LP and therefore my cycle length as i read that is what it does. Heard it may delay ovulation but hope that does not happen. My cycles are about 23 days long and they are regular but i get a peak on ovulation tests on CD 11/12. Before i had my DS 2 years ago, they were about 26/27 days long and i was getting peak on opks on the same cycle days as i do now. We conceiving him on the 6th cycle. We are on month 3 now ttc 2nd and got worried we may struggle with such a short cycle this time round.
Kitty901 · 13/03/2022 22:52
@Kitty901 sorry didn't see your post until I had posted the last message.
I took them all through my cycle and also used the seven seas TTC vitamins.
Can't say that it was those that did the trick but the fact the Vit C lengthened my LP last month leads me to believe they do something helpful!
Thank you. I will too start with Vitamin C 500mg and see how it goes. Won't expect a miracle to happen right away but really hope they do increase my LP. I will just wait for my period to arrive first so that i see what the result from taking Vitamin B6 only is.

Loos like I’m out, yesterday was light spotting pink spotting at 8dpo. But today it’s become bright red spotting and what feels like period cramps. I’ve also had a massive temperature dip (but have had disturbed sleep and woken up in the night, so maybe can’t trust it?)

I’m pretty sure this is AF and I’m wondering when I need to discuss having a short luteal phase with the GP.

BabyBird20 · 14/03/2022 08:21

Sorry to hear that @GeraniumCedarwood , how many cycles have you been ttc now? Gp's general rule is they'll help over 35's after 6 month and under 35's after a year? Could be worth a conversation with them for advice! Even if it's to ask which supplements to take etc.

I've just had a stark white bfn at 8dpo, I know it's still early but just feel like I'm out this month 😢😢

VolcanicProtectorMan · 14/03/2022 08:24

Told myself I wasn’t going to test again until at least tomorrow to allow the hcg to double, but I caved and did again this morning. Line still there defo but not any darker. I think I’m going to need more tests! I never did this with my first 😩 I have so much more anxiety this time!

BabyBird20 · 14/03/2022 08:32

Aww @VolcanicProtectorMan I did that when I got pregnant with my first! I bought a really cheap pack of ultra early one steps from
Amazon so I could test away without wasting so much money on frer! It took about 15 tests and a 7 week early scan to get me to even believe I was pregnant then!

Brideandprejudice · 14/03/2022 08:49

Grrrr! After yesterday's uncertainty I went and bought this just to get an error! Going to buy some FRER if I can find them (couldn't yesterday) how long do I need to hold the wee for as I got rid of my FMU?

Hoping for a BFP in March
Mummyme87 · 14/03/2022 09:07

@Brideandprejudice I think ideally 4hour hold with no fluids. Contact CB, they should send you a new one to replace

Brideandprejudice · 14/03/2022 11:00

@kizzy97 thank you!

I just tested again on a FRER after a 4 hour hold and got a BFN Sad was really hopeful yesterday and now just feel devastated

How annoying, i could see a line on your test too! I never liked Clear Blue, they seem to either show evap lines or not show any lines in early pregnancy. I prefer Frer over them. With my first pregnancy i had a bfp on Frer and almost no line on CB.

kizzy97 · 14/03/2022 13:40

Welp, better hope this month is my month as with everything going on DP now wants to press pause on ttc 😭

ElleBelleLou · 14/03/2022 14:53

Hi everyone, hope it's okay for me to join back.

I had my BFP on 20th February but unfortunately I have been miscarrying since Thursday.

I liked having you all as support when I was TTC, so I hope it's okay that I am back again. It's nice to keep up with you all - when I have a spare moment with work I am going to catch up on all 32 pages! x

kizzy97 · 14/03/2022 15:40

@ElleBelleLou I remember you from the previous threads! I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you're okay (as can be) ❤ xxx

jordini · 14/03/2022 15:43

I had my first positive CB digital test today. It’s one of the early detection tests as I’m 11DPO. I have no FRERs to check the line until tomorrow. I’m just hoping it’s darker than my previous CPs.

Also, last week I had a blood test as it has been almost a year with no luck. The Dr is calling me back tomorrow to discuss so I assume that means there is an issue otherwise it would have been the receptionist. I doubt they could detect the pregnancy as I would have been 6DPO at that point!

Fingers crossed.

Mummyme87 · 14/03/2022 15:51

@ElleBelleLou I’m so sorry to read of your loss, I hope you are taking care of you lovely.

@ellebellelou sorry for your loss 💐 but welcome back to the thread

Oh no! How do you feel about it? Is it because of the cost of living? Do you think he is sure or is it because it's been a stressful few weeks? Even I had a wobble a few days ago wondering whether we should TTC when the past couple of years have been so hard
ElleBelleLou · 14/03/2022 16:52

Thank you everyone for your kind words and for welcoming me back to the thread.

I'm trying my best to look after myself but not sure I've even processed what is happening yet! I started miscarrying on Thursday and I was back at work on Saturday, it's been a real struggle. I'm in a lot of physical pain so I'm not sure I've started to deal with the mental pain of it all yet.

Definitely didn't think I'd be back on this thread so soon, but you're all such a supportive bunch and I know a lot of us are in the same boat so I feel less alone when I'm here.

Genuinely thank you to you all X

Natalie2304 · 14/03/2022 17:02

@ElleBelleLou I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you're keeping up ok. Sending lots of love and luck xxx

@VolcanicProtectorMan I just laughed so much at your name - it is will Ferrell inspired?! If so I salute you!

P.s I’m in the same boat - with my first baby. (Albeit a long 6 years ago) - I took TWO tests. And that was final, I didn’t even sweat the positive or worry. Just accepted that was it I was pregnant. (I know how lucky that was, wish it was that easy this time) I have now lost count how many I’ve taken in the last 6 months!

I have this strange feeling that something is different this cycle. But not entirely sure why! (Let’s hope it’s a pregnancy lol) but I am increasingly stressed with events of the world and personal circumstances, and i know that’s the worst thing to be right now!! I can’t help thinking it’s going to ruin my chance this month.

my son decided this weekend on a family walk to Stab himself in the eye with a stick (accidentally of course) - so this TWW has been riddled with LONG evenings, long stays at hospitals and lots of infection risk and you guessed it …. stress.
I’m really upset at the circumstances but DO not take for granted the fact we are healthy, safe and secure. My sons eye will be fine and heal beautifully I was told by the consultant. And I just sighed and felt “different” - but over the moon at the same time!

Considering the news, things aren’t all bad - and really what’s important is happiness and health. I’ve no idea why I’m ranting, but I guess to send well wishes to those in the same predicament. When you’re trying for a baby - it’s all consuming, and I don’t know about you all but I’ve been finding the slightest bumps in the TWW impossible to bear.
I hope you’re all looking after yourselves and have someone to cuddle during the peeing in a stick frenzy! X

lottieb92 · 14/03/2022 17:49

Good god…. Me message didn’t look that long when I typed it. I blame 4 hours sleep and 7 hour in A&E!!!

VolcanicProtectorMan · 14/03/2022 18:18

@lottieb92 Yes Will Ferrell inspired 😂

BigAlice · 14/03/2022 18:39

@ElleBelleLou I’m so sorry for your loss. Also, that must be awful to be back at work. When I suffered my MC I was signed off by the EPU from work for 2 weeks - did they mention anything like that?
