@Annny27 @H0peing @PeanuttyButter @Nuggetlover27 @ELM7 @SunnySideUp2020 Ladies how are you all? Sorry anyone Iv missed it’s been so long. Not going to lie Iv kind of been avoiding mums net just didn’t want to get back into the ttc mindset. Unfortunately had some bad news this week. We were getting ready to start IUI with the nhs which I had got my head around and was ready for. My partner had his swim up test and the results were great they said the drop in his sperm count was too dramatic since his previous ( which was a good year ago) they’ve said with that and me turning 35 IUI would be pointless and they have referred us from our local hospital to Glasgow for IVF. I’m devastated as IUI felt like a less stressful invasive process compared to IVF also we were able to have 4 cycles of that before 3 cycles of IVF. My partner was so taken a back he didn’t ask anything so now I feel lost Iv no idea when or what happens next

Oh sorry to hear lovely. 😢 this must have been so disappointing. Do you know how long it will take to even start ivf? Are they going to repeat the sperm count?

Doing good here. 24 weeks with another little girl. Slowly getting ready and enjoying the time with my little one 🥰

@27DONFIN currently 10+4 with my 5th pregnancy. Morning sickness and tiredness is awful but suppose it's just the way it is.

Sorry things have gone a bit to crap with the IUI. Least they are not messing you around doing the IUI if they don't think it will work. All we can do is hop on board the options available, TTC is such a difficult journey but hopefully we will all be stronger as a result. Do you know when they are planning on starting it all then? x

i know nothing Iv joined a Glasgow Ivf page on fb to try get some info. Girls on there have a range of timescales. I might of been naive but I thought once you were seen by them treatment started but looks like there’s an initial appointment more tests then can be further months before a cycle starts. What I’m trying to find out is what happens if a cycle fails how long do you get between cycles. They called my partner Monday and told him over the phone. He was in shock. No didn’t say they’d do a second swim up. Just asked if he’d been unwell or anything in his life had changed. I could phone and ask for more info but I might wait for the letter they’ve sent to come out.

Ok well might be worth trying to have another batch tested?
Especially if the count was a lot different.
I think it might depends on a lot of things for ivf timings. Could you phone up or write an email with all your questions?

That is devastating news. I'm so sorry to hear that. One of my friends tried IVF last year after years of TTC and miscarriage. She had a healthy little girl this year. I really hope IVF works for you as soon as possible! Xx

I found a chemist they were negative whilst I was away. so I had some spotting yesterday and today but nothing else and period is late. so thinking dodgy cycle. gone from being regular to longer cycles now😫

Hi all, can I join? I think you may be my people 😆

Ttc #2, I have one DC who is nearly three. I've had three miscarriages before DC and an ectopic back in September which I needed surgery for.

I'm currently 4wks pregnant but not feeling optimistic.. my line progression is extremely sluggish and I had some brown blood spotting on Friday. Really hoping for anything but another ectopic as I'm already one tube down 😥

I am elated to say, my AF has arrived wooohooooo 🥳 who knew that would make me feel remotely positive. It has made me feel sad as I should be pregnant, but I am not and I need to keep moving forward and I want a baby in my belly and then arms!

Hello everyone how are you all doing?? I am not too far off of finally meeting my little lady I am 28 weeks today I honestly cannot believe how fast it's gone I truly will miss being pregnant even with the anxious times but it did test my strength to the max the boys cannot wait to meet their long awaited sister I am actually feeling nervous and overwhelmed at the thought of having a little girl and the labour I am high risk and she is also back to back and still breech she won't blinking turn too stubborn so a C-section might be happening will find that out after my 3rd and final scan xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 28 weeks! That has gone very quickly! Excited for you! Not long at all now. I worried a lot about the birth at first. Mine was born back to back but not breech in the birthing pool. They didn't realise she was back to back until she was on her way out! I found the positive birthing company's online course helpful. Someone on here recommended it and it really helped me. It helped me to create a positive birth plan, which incuded my plans for what I would want during a c section if I had to have one. I also found that watching some positive birthing videos on YouTube was helpful too. There's lots of positive birthing stories on there. I look forward to celebrating with you in around 12 weeks. @H0peing I had a back to back delivery with my second baby and it was the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life it prolonged the labour and also kept stopping my contractions next again will I do one like that especially pain relief free.. if she don't turn then I am doing an EVCS.. it's gone way to quickly kinda going to miss it all now.. how are you doing?? Xx

Well girls wish me luck today, its scan day and my booking in app so bloody nervous I should be 14 weeks today going by my scan last Monday. App at 2.45 so will update yous all after it.

So sorry you find yourself on this group, but glad you found us for support, been In this group for 2 years or so and it has been amazing, I have had 4 miscarriages ttc num 1 I'm now the furtherest I have ever been, got my dating scan today, nothing is ever to much to ask, and sending u baby dust.

@H0peing both my labours have been horrific my first one was too quick only 2 hours and then obviously the second one being back to back was just awful for me I was exhausted after 16 hours I lost all sense of reality whilst in labour.. hoping this one will be a bit easier hence the maybe having a C-section I no it's major surgery and recovery is a pain in the arse but least I can have some control of what's happening I don't want an emergency one xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 Yes, I would probably do the same in your position. One of my friends chose to have a C section earlier this year and she was really glad she did. It went really well. I hope your birth goes a lot better this time around. Xx
