I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Also feel the same *@Curlywurly3* I ovulated Monday and DTD last Thursday, last Saturday and Monday and couldn't manage anything else as DP away so makes me feel I didn't do it enough 😞

Thank you @Decaffe I hope so 🤞🏻 I had a peak on opk on the Tuesday but a peak on the clearblue ( static smiley ) on the Monday so just worried I ovulated a day later than I thought, but it's all I could do so 🤞🏻🌈

Hey 👋 everyone, sorry I haven't been on this thread much! I'm sure no one noticed but I've been feeling bad about it!
So much to catch up on so once I've put the kids to bed I'm going to read it all :)

I'm in my ovulation week atm, according to flo I'm due to ovulate tomorrow.
I spoke to the Dr today who has booked me in for blood tests to check my thyroid/ progesterone and other hormones, hopefully I'll get an answer to my short luteal phase.

This month I'm just feeling very relaxed, I don't think it's going to happen for me so I'm a bit 'meh' about it! Just enjoying the sex lol.
Should start spotting on the 5th or 6th so I'll know I'm out quite early on.

Something I have been pondering this evening… is there any point (from a purely fertilisation point of view) to sex that is 2, 3, 4, 5 days before ovulation? Given that all the charts point to the most fertile day being the one immediately before the ovulation day, is all the early sex purely (from a fertilisation point of view) in case we ovulate sooner than we were expecting? 🤔

Reason being… we have been DTD every other day since CD7. So, CD7, 9, 11,13.

I eventually find out I’m ovulating on CD15. But we were so tired we weren’t able to DTD on CD14.

Today (after midnight so CD15) is ovulation day, likelihood is that by the time we get round to DTD today it will be too late.

So, to summarise: lots of sex but we missed the most fertile day. Just makes me feel like it’s all been a waste of time? (From a fertilisation point of view obviously…!)

I'm also in my ferile week. Getting flashy smileys now for 2 days. We are being more chilled this month partly because work has been a lot lately (I work in public health). We shall see how it goes. I'm due to ovulate Monday I think

Hi @Decaffe I think sperm can live up to five days and it's good that sperm are ready to meet egg when you ovulate so I think sex pre-ovulation makes sense. But I also think if you DTD later today there's no reason you wouldn't catch the egg🤞🏻 from what I've read it is viable for about 24 hours after it's released. Do you def know today is ovulation day?

@Decaffe i feel the same way about now nearing ovulation and exhausted. Ive had flashing smileys for 5 days now I don’t know how much more I can handle. I will test PM again and pray finally its a static smiley. But as lakejupiter suggests sperm live for a while so i am relying on this this month. I know when I got pregnant last summer, i had sex well before ovulation and it worked so all is not lost.

It appears we are all in the FW together. I posted on Tuesday I’ve had really high OPKs all week ranging from 0.72 to 1.28 last night this never happens this early in cycle. Im CD11 usually don’t ovulate until CD16. Read some threads says covid and the booster (I have had both in last 6 weeks can impact this) OH came back one day earlier so we did DTD CD9, CD10, CD11 he is away tonight so hoping ovulation is Sunday but looks like might well be tonight. So not feeling hopefully this month.

@Decaffe I feel exactly the same this morning I was really like (in my head of course) do we have too 🤣 I’ll be quiet happy for the rest tonight!

@QueenBee22 just read back after missing couple of days i’m about to ovulate 4 days earlier after having covid vaccine last week. So it’s not just you and having researched it’s quiet common!

Got my peak today 🥳 which is 1/2 days earlier than usual so hoping that means the new vitamins and vit C is helping sort my cycle out!
DTD last night and planned to do every other day this cycle but I don't think we will get chance tomorrow as we are all with friends all day so may try again tonight just to make sure 🤞🏻

@Purpleflowers17 I ovulated really late after having the vaccine and covid and read up on it, it can cause it go either way but should settle down the next cycle. I also have read of a few women on here who still got their BFP so not all is lost!

Yes having vaccines and having any virus can affect ovulation date, should right itself fairly quickly though and doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant as long as you have DTD in those 5days prior to Ov and within 24hours of Ov.

We only DTD 3 times in FW, it only takes one but always feel it should be more. I ovulated on Wednesday and DTD Sunday night, Tuesday morning and Wednesday night. Technically should be well covered. 2DPO today!

@Mariabombia I'm not too bad! The worse thing is how hoarse my voice is and my throat feels raw sore.

I have one fRER at home that I am determined to not use until next week but I was so tempted today!

Oh me too 🤣Probably wouldn't show anything if we were though would it, too early! My AF is due Thursday so going to really really really try wait until Wednesday. How about you?

Have you noticed any symptoms or trying not to symptom spot ?

So I saw my father this morning for about 10 minutes and my mother said he has a bad cold and he's tested positive for COVID now 🙄 didn't tell me he was Ill or anything when I saw him so praying it doesn't get me 🙏🏻

@Mariabombia my period is due the same day! My boobs are a little sore and I've had some twinges but I am trying not to overthink it. I've convinced myself I was pregnant before and then lady flow arrives!

@arianasky I'm sure you will be ok. It's at the point where it is hard to avoid. This is my second covid, had it pre vaccine. Perks of being a key worker!

Can I join? Af arrived today. I have one DD. She's due to start school in September. We only started trying this year in the hopes of maternity leave starting with school so convenient. First child we fell pregnant first try. Better book my annual leave the first few weeks of school.

OH spoke to his doctors yesterday to look to get his test sorted so was feeling really positive that we could start getting somewhere.
Then when he's rang the clinic he needs to go to today they've said the earliest appointment they can do is 10th March. Just thought that would be the nice easy bit so feeling very disheartened today.
10 DPO, it really is the longest wait ever.
