What did you do the cycle you got pregnant?

I've been TTC for a year and would like to know what people have done the cycle they got pregnant?

This was a good few years ago. My husband and I had tried for years to get pregnant. Found out he had poor quality sperm and low count, and we were told it would be virtually impossible to get pregnant naturally. Tried so many different things, including IVF, which didn't work. Then one time, we tried something I'd read about. After he'd ejaculated I laid with my hips raised with pillows and, because I never used to climax during PIV, we did clitoral stimulation until I climaxed. When the muscles contract during climax, the cervix dips and the contractions help to suck semen higher into the vagina. It worked for us - twice - and I now have two lovely DDs.

Nothing special. Vaguely aware of my cycle but really just DTD fairly frequently. Got pregnant after four months both times.

Got really depressed, drank a lot of martinis, cried a lot, put on 5lbs. Bingo. Pregnant. Despite having PCOS and barely ever ovulating.

Don't recommend it, but it seemed to work.

@Shortmamashortcycles Hahah, I'm supposed to be infertile and was seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. I was supposed to start IVF but apparently getting miserable, drink and chubby did the job .

I actually didn't even think I was pregnant for a few weeks because it was just so unlikely.

Did it once a day before ovulation!

Less luck second time around. I was quite fit and healthy. Less so one kid down!

As in once the whole month but just one day before ovulation

Used clearblue ovulation kit, Conceive Plus lube for the first time, took 150mg aspirin from ovulation.

PP has just reminded me - I made sure I orgasmed too and put pillow under me with legs up for the reasons PP mentioned.

Both months we conceived we had sex every day of my fertile week.
I had tracked my cycles using an app and then had sex days 7-15.

Used amazon cheap ovulation tests and realised that I don't ovulate until around Day 20.
Had sex every other day from Day 14 then twice per day on the day before, of and after ovulation.
Used pre seed.
Orgasmed
Lay down with a pillow under hips for half an hour.
Used temping but also knew I was pregnant because of the change in my resting heart rate on my fitbit.

I've been pregnant 4 times with two successful pregnancies. I've always got pregnant first time using this method. After both miscarriages it took me around 2-3 months to ovulate again and had odd breakthrough bleeding. I made sure to have one clear normal cycle before trying again.

First time : had sex a few times a day, lots of orgasms. You might be able to guess that #1 was a honeymoon baby . I'd been told I was likely infertile at 30,so conceiving at 37 was a wonderful surprise!

Second time : stopped breastfeeding. Had been trying since the first baby was 4 months old, and finally conceived when I stopped feeding her at 1yr. Literally that weekend, I suspect.

Third time : sex most days and baby #2 mostly weaned. Sadly miscarried in second trimester.

Still trying!

Went to see Michael Buble in concert and I might have been thinking about him when we DTD later that night....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Had reflexology. Might be hogwash but worked twice.

Gave up sugar

Got pregnant accidentally first time, second time got pregnant first month without bc. I was in my 20's

I’d given up. 6 cycles of IUI, 3 cycles of IVF. Many many more cycles of vitamins, charting, temps, meds etc. totalling 7 years.

Gave up. Threw charts in bin, purchased stupid sports car. Booked a very expensive holiday.

Went to pub and drank a lot of cider one night. Jaques fruit cider to be precise! Laughed. A lot!! Reevaluated life. Ate a shed load of crap pizza. had sex five times that weekend - because we wanted to. Hungover, drunk, happy. Not at all stressed.

Two weeks later positive test. DD born 9
Months later.

Clear Blue Ovulation Tests.
SMEP
Pre Seed.

This was for both cycles we conceived, first on cycle 4 and second on cycle 5.

• A glass of grapefruit juice every day
• primrose oil
• taking the supplements mentioned in "it starts with the egg"
• tracking ovulation
• preseed
• having sex 5 days in a row during my fertile period

Stopped tracking everything and just DTD when we wanted to. Worked all three times.

Had ICSI IVF. Sorry unhelpful! But solidarity TTC sucks sometimes.

Have you had any fertility checks? We tried for over a year and it turned out, I wasn't ovulating and needed a polyp removed from my cervix. I was put on clomid and on month 6 of being on it, relaxed, went on a weekend away with DH and had some drinks and got pregnant!

Went on holiday, had fun, drank lots of wine and ate all the food!

@DirtyDancing did you have any other symptoms to indicate you weren't ovulating? Other than not getting pregnant of course. I have a feeling I'm not, just an instinct.

I had sex before the window of conception apparently because of my natural (pre pill) cycles of 25 days, my window also falls 3 days before what the app was saying 🤷🏻‍♀️

My advice would be to get cheap ovulation pee sticks and find out when your window is

I read further that you have longer cycles. Get the cheap tests and test several days
