When you don’t think about your days as “Monday Tuesday Wednesday” you think of them as “fertile week” or “CD12” we know the feeling.

We’ve tried baby dust (back in early 2020 I think we stopped believing in that!?, we’ve tried chocolate/pizza & sofa sex (remember that? Late 2020, that got a lot of babies!) and now we are onto manifesting, testing, pleading & yet there’s still some unwanted bleeding🤣😂well tough titties we are here to stay til we get those BFPs🤞🏻🙌🏻we just need to rinse out our foofs & get the nurses to wade through our stocking full of old sperm 💦

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

Your poor mum dealing with your brother 😂 I'm hoping the saying no 2 are the same is true and my next one loves to sleep and is so placid and laid back.....wishful thinking 😂 You're right, no amount of looking after other people's kids or reading books can fully prepare you for the reality of it, but despite the nightmare times it's so worth it and if it wasn't everyone would stop at 1 child. I just think if everyone spoke more openly about the nitty gritty reality of kids not just the good stuff then some parts of it wouldn't come as much of a shock to new mums or wouldn't make them think they're doing something wrong and everyone else is coping perfectly fine. Parenthood seems to be a big game of keeping up appearances or my child is better than your child for a lot of people. I like the friends I can turn to and say DH is being a little shit today and instead of judging they share their horror stories too, that's the kind of mum friends you want around you IRL! There's a book Toddlers are Arseholes it's not your fault. It's so funny and relatable I buy it for all new mums now but wish they also had a baby version!

@bez91 your story about your DD's leaked sample reminded me of when I had to do one and when I called to chase the results discovered they'd lost the sample 😂🙈 I wonder sometimes if they ever found it again...

@paintfairy well when I say tissue what I mean is she gave me another one of those pieces of oversized kitchen roll they give you to cover your modesty. But it was better than nothing. Also she use 80% less lube than the lady at the hospital, so there were less...issues afterwards 😂 it was an older white woman who kept intermittently going "oh bless ya" after whatever I was saying at the time. Erm, I think the consultant's name is on the invite but I can't find it now I've gone looking - hoping they'll be nice!

@InkyPaper we kept them, what else? so now we have a four species tank, plus shrimps and snails, he’s now talking about needing a bigger tank.... what have I created?

@Somatronic Hope your DH's procedure went well today! Just read it was nothing serious, good news. Hope the good news continues. I hope the hotel is nice so you can make the most of it.

It is frustrating they won't let you move your scan @paintfairy. Would you pay for one privately earlier for peace of mind or are you just going to wait? If I get that far I think I might get a scan about 7/8 weeks. Just seen your update that you might just wait. That makes sense, 3 weeks to go!

@Vil10 Gutted to hear about the house. But as horrible as it feels now I do think what is for you won't pass you so hopefully the perfect place is just around the corner. Also sounds like the buyer has paid well over the odds which doesn't always make a great financial decision. Totally get what you mean about moving home with parents though. The fertility clinic carry is on also very frustrating. Hope things begin to fall into place for you soon as you are due some good luck!

I did one final test today. The last couple had the second line darker than the control line. I was hoping to see that again today but instead both lines were basically the same. I panicked thinking this was the start of the end. I had heard about diluting your pee and getting a better line so I tried that and it worked surprisingly enough. Seems strange for 5 weeks but at least the line was darker than the control line again. I am now going to stop testing other than one digital one later this week to see if I can get to 3+.

@Minster2012 oh gosh, I could be here all day with what most people would find embarrassing stories...I'm a walking disaster so not much embarrasses me these days 🤣. Keeping it in context, i once had a perianal cyst and had it drained and a seaton stitch placed...this was embarrassing enough but when me and DH (we hadn't been together long at the time) were going at it he accidentally caught it. I squealed like a pig and lost my clenching rhythm letting out a rip roaring fanny fart and nearly blew him into oblivion...I could have died!! Luckily he wasn't phased by it and carried on...I knew he was a keeper after this 🙈🤣. Thought I'd give you one of the worst to give you all a giggle 🤭. Thank you all for the warm welcome xx

@paintfairy yessss for sleep!! I came here for my hen do other than that this is the second time. I want some of that now!! Couple more drink techniques to try, when at the table you could say you'll just have a water with the meal Cos you've still got your rum and Coke (having saved some)
then order a white wine spritzer & just literally sip a few sips & if someone says anything you can say "ha! Totally forgotten about it too busy talking!" Or say you are consciously trying to drink less /pace yourself. Or get mocktails? My clinic was the same with scans at 8 weeks & not before but you could get a private one?

@InkyPaper I'm so pleased your SIL is gradually getting a bit better 🤞🏻"ambidextrous womb!" Loving that & it sounds like she had a good look round (if a little gruffly) and it's all systems go now!

The way you've written is like you're blaming yourself for a blood clotting thing which isn't something you've brought on yourself...hopefully I've just read that wrong because that would be silly blaming yourself for a medical issue...like if I blamed myself for that mental migraine I had in March... Also 8lb?! Well done!!!

Scan sounds a tough experience @DKDK123 and I do think that they could often schedule things better but focus on the positives that simba is still roaring away and you didn't wet yourself!

@paintfairy obviously good advice from @Minster2012** but you should maybe also think about how you'd feel, let's face it, you're pretty qualified in terms of tough fertility times!

@Franklydear it's been a rollercoaster reading your updates between being poorly and a maybe line. Sending loads of love on both counts, if your DH needs it spelling out that he needs to take care of you I'll pop round and have a word.

If you haven't already you need to learn to nap @paintfairy - I perfected the art of a 20 minute nap years ago and they're bliss! If the clinic says no you can always book a private one? and take the bloody Fitbit off!! Also it's not like you have to not drink in public forever, only until you're ready to tell people! There's one antibiotic that you definitely can't drink on, begins with a M - I think used for mouth infections so you could look that up? Or tell everyone you've got a UTI? No one would want to drink either alcohol or caffeine with a UTI!

@Kirky658 it's so tough when there's no reason for it, and anyone would feel the same. We used the exercise ball still when DS was little because you could sit and still bounce up and down.

@larrythelizard well I did think that at first hut houses in that area and the size of this house are usually extortionate so it was a pretty good deal! Well I'm feeling slightly better today, af cramps are still here, I'm due Friday and my boobs have deflated so she's definitely coming😒 I had netball late last night, it was freezing but when I got home OH had put my pyjamas on the radiator, had my tea on the table, a hot water bottle in the bed and made me a hot chocolate after my shower, bless him, he's rubbish with words and sympathy so I think that was his way of feeling sorry for me for being so upset yesterday!

Gah did I mention that I had to field the "when are you having babies" question on three separate occasions at this wedding on Saturday? Luckily OH is sporting a big movember moustache atm so i just kept telling them it was too strong of a contraceptive for babies to happen - they'd laugh and we'd nicey on to a different topic.

@paintfairy you saying it wouldn't be logical to go out drinking on a Thursday had me laughing 😅. It's probably the busiest day for going out in the City!

@DKDK123 SM is like that though? You only share how wonderful your life is, cocktail photos, holiday pics, look what I've got type things. Not your DH is a dick, your kid has wrecked your house, and you hate everyone right now because all people are idiotic. Actually I mostly share pet things and joke stuff. I never even put on when we were getting married until after, I like to keep personal stuff private. The people that write how much they love their OH on there (when they are likely sat next to them on the settee) really piss me off. 🤣
And yes my poor mother, god knows how she got him to adulthood. 🤭 He had 2 broken arms for her 50th birthday party even. 🤣
@InkyPaper it should be on your letter and also your list of appointments on the portal. Although the consultant we originally had (he did do my transfer) wasn't the one that did my EC. They seem to swap you about. He's hard to understand by video though if you are doing it that way. 🙄 He's also got a strange sense of humour. Maybe I should have used to paper towel! But the bin wasn't near either. I didn't notice they used less lube. I suppose you could actually go to the loo before leaving, but I was always in such a rush to get out of there, I never did. 🤣
@Bea14 diluting your pee? Weird! I have not done many to avoid the comparison stress. Its so variable. Some people also never get 3+.

@larrythelizard yes you are right. And I think I'd be slightly upset if she didn't tell me? Actually one friend I found out she was pregnant and engaged (not at the same time) both on fb and that really pissed me off. Because she hadn't told me in person.
@Juno231 I suppose young people do. I literally am not social and its even worse post covid. I never go out drinking! Not at the weekend, never mind a Thursday. 🤣 But with it being December it's maybe easier to blag. I think I'm going to have to go with the pretend I am drinking a bit and hope no one notices.

So, what does it mean when day 2 is mainly brown blood, I know is old blood but weird, was red yesterday, boobs are down and having painful cramps, ... the most annoying thing is that, and I didn’t think we were very physical, I miss dh, we are keeping a bit of a distance trying to keep him negative, futile I think but we otta try, and it feels ....wrong, I guess,

I am trying to keep up with the bus, I am just exhausted , but not really as bad as once predicted, when I had to shield, so another one to say, please take the vaccine, without it I should be in the icu, rather than moaning from my sofa while able to look after ds, I also have no appetite so I am hoping I’ll lose a few pounds from this, there’s has to be some positives, there just has to!

Sending love @Franklydear and keep an eye on your oxygen levels. I have no doubt you and DH miss each other, it's not for long though. Only suggestion on brown blood would be to test again?

Sorry that I’ve been quiet ladies found it hard being in limbo land to check in on MN at times, just received confirmation that me and DH have been officially accepted as a special case at care Sheffield and can start the process asap so I have my scans and bloods on the 14/12 and the first consultant review based on them on the 20/12 which they’ll discuss treatment path and protocols ect with me and DH and aim to hopefully start early in the new year treatment back on the chance to have our BFP day.. maybe 🥺🤞🏻✨

Any good reading tips for ivfs or recommended podcasts?

By the way not so funny story from today, we've had a busy day & we were booked to do a "festive treasure trail" around the park on our bikes after swimming. DH wanted to go do some work so me, my friends family & DS we're going to do it. I had to use DH's bike which had the kid trailer on...it was a "large" mountain bike with crossbar as opposed to my "medium" city rider with low crossbar. I can literally only just touch the floor.

I go to set off and put my feet on the pedals & try to pedal so lift both feet off...it misses the gear & jolts my foot off the pedal I jolt forwards & slip with a pussy breaking THUD straight on the crossbar, my foof completely smashed into the metal & let out a cry in a crowded area. My friend was like "what have you hurt?" And I'm trying to think of a polite way to shout "my pussy!" In front of many kids!

Still hurts. It's not just balls & boobs that hurt 😂
