When you don’t think about your days as “Monday Tuesday Wednesday” you think of them as “fertile week” or “CD12” we know the feeling.

We’ve tried baby dust (back in early 2020 I think we stopped believing in that!?, we’ve tried chocolate/pizza & sofa sex (remember that? Late 2020, that got a lot of babies!) and now we are onto manifesting, testing, pleading & yet there’s still some unwanted bleeding🤣😂well tough titties we are here to stay til we get those BFPs🤞🏻🙌🏻we just need to rinse out our foofs & get the nurses to wade through our stocking full of old sperm 💦

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out. We’ve had multiples, some losses so know two lines can be just as terrifying as none, and we’ve got ladies where those two lines are more illusive than a white Christmas 🎅🏻

@kirky658 takeaway and night in is definitely not boring, you'll both be exhausted and sometimes going out is more hassle than it's worth, takeaway at home means you can curl up in your jammies and just chill together with no responsibilities for the night. An early night with hours of uninterrupted sleep ahead is utter bliss to new parents. Enjoy!

@dollybird89 happy birthday, sorry its been a hard day without your dad but so glad that it sounds like your OH has taken really good care of you today and showered you with lots of love when you need it the most.

@Franklydear hope you feel better soon, glad to hear you've not got it too bad but still try to rest up a bit, even superwoman needs a day off sometimes.

@paintfairy on the poo front I'm afraid it doesn't get any better, you'll either be constipated or have the runs that's your 2 choices, pregnancy plays havoc with your bowels 🙈 Just keep drinking tonnes of water.
I know its easier said than done but try not to worry on the RHR, look how much mine dipped in Oct and my scan on Fri showed a healthy wriggly baby. However if you stop worrying about RHR something else will probably just worry you in its place, when you've wanted something so much it doesn't automatically make it easier when you get it as you then have the added worry of it all being taken away from you. Hopefully once you get that first scan it'll start to ease your worries a bit.

@Minster2012 you really are having a crap time of it with these headaches and migraines. Hopefully they stop once you're a bit further into your 2nd trimester. Have a fab time at centre parcs.

@Kirky658 6th month BFP... that sounds so quick 😅 ! Although you did have endometriosis to battle with before starting to try right? I was 16 months for this pregnancy which feels long but I know that's nothing compared to some ladies here 😔

@2020mission yeah unfortunately it was 7 years to be diagnosed plus then 3 years to wait as needed two surgeries 😢 so feeling very fortunate! X

Well girls it obviously wasn't meant to be, our offer got rejected and they went with someone else who offered higher, even though we offered 15k over the asking price! When we got the rejection email today I just cried, I just kept thinking "well we can't have a baby so why would we be able to have the perfect house", and I know it sounds stupid but I was just hoping something would go our way for once! Me and OH have been so moody and low since we've been home, I think we both really thought this was it! It's not even the needing a house now kinda thing, it's the TTC whilst living with parents and what if I get pregnant (by some miracle) and we're still with parents, it's just stressing me out!! I keep thinking "there's obviously something better out there" but it's just taking it's pissing time!!

Aww @Vil10 I'm sorry 😢 We were absolutely gutted after our bid 26k above asking was rejected not long ago so I really sympathise. I had convinced myself I got it as a couple of other very similar houses on the same street went for thousands less than we offered earlier this year. Something better will come though. That's what you need to tell yourself. Someone has just overpaid for what it is

So last night I had a proper no holds barred, screaming crying breakdown. Alice cried for 4 hours solid. She's been fed, clean nappy, was warm, no temp, basically fine. I just can't cope!! /

@Kirky658 i'm sending you the biggest hugs right now. Sometimes babies just cry. Some babies cry for hours, someone I know's baby was like that from 5-12 every night. Solid crying, no reason. She found solace phoning crisis so please do make sure you look after you too. It's ok to put her down and walk away for 5 mins, that's what the midwives told me. Reflux & colic can be awful and some babies just cry 😭 it's awful on the parents. You are doing AMAZING. Even if she cries it's not a reflection on you. All the love ❤️ keep talking to people

Well whilst I was in a mood obviously I thought "I know I'll ring the fertility unit and see how my referral and appointment is getting on", only to be told they haven't even processed my referral yet, and here I was thinking I'd be getting my appointment letter after 4 weeks, they said they're working on through date order that they got referred and my appointment is looking likely to be a long wait, I just cried, I'm honestly so so sick of this shit! TTC is not going to work whilst living at parents, so basically that's thst until my appointment comes through! Can definitely tell af is imminent with this mood!!

I think I ovulated yesterday at cd13. Had great BD on Saturday and Sunday so would definitely be covered at least. Will see if OH can put out tonight too just in case but he's feeling poorly so I'm not sure how successful I'll be!

Oh, and to top up my morning, the blood test from over a week, the reason I didn’t hear: sample insufficient, booked again for Friday 3 rd, that’ll make me cd11, so pretty pointless I guess.....

Keep an eye out though because just because they got over excited and offered so high, doesn't mean they can pay it or won't change their minds once the excitement has worn off. Also shit about the referral. However, I will say that I think it would be very very stressful going through that, if you haven't found a house yet. It takes a lot out of you.

@Minster2012 yes, you are at the one my way! 😬 Oddly I've never been! So, we do usually pretty much get our own drinks. I'm hoping no one is next to me at the bar. If I start it with a coke (usually drink that with JD or rum or something) maybe no one will notice. However I can't drink 50 cokes, what can i even drink? The issue will be when we have the meal and ordering from the table. Not really sure how i can wangle that. I have thought of an excuse as to why I'm drinking less, but I'm going to have to look like I'm drinking partly, or they'll know instantly. I never don't drink.

@Kirky658 you are coping, because after 4 hours I think I would have launched her from the window. (Which is somewhat a concern). But no one is going to find that easy. NO ONE! So don't feel bad. Obviously that's ludicrous though and you can't go on like that. Have you been reviewed at the drs? Like, there's definitely not still something else wrong with her? So, I actually slept last night! I managed to go to the toilet before bed and it was amazing. 😂 I still woke up 2 or 3 times but went back to sleep pretty much straight away. Its the first time in what seems like forever that i woke up feeling I've actually slept. My rhr is the same as yesterday. And yes I need to stop looking at that. Its not good! The clinic won't move my early scan, so I've got to wait until 14th. 3 weeks to go......

@Franklydear what!?! That's ridiculous, what as if they didn't take enough blood or something? When DD was small she had diarrhoea for a while, I had to get a sample and similar it apparently "leaked in transit" 🙄 so I got asked for another. It was traumatic enough the first time.

@paintfairy I know it's crazy how you know all this stuff but still can't help yourself 😂 on the drink could you pull a bar person to one side with a non alcoholic alternative so it can look normal when you order something but they then minus the alcohol? It's a lot more difficult now I think than it used to be using the antibiotic trick

Just dropping in for a quick update, but will try and catch up properly later. SiL is still extremely poorly in the ICU but is doing a little better than before, which is something.

@Minster2012 @paintfairy the scan was indeed today! She asked if I had PCOS and I told her I'd been chasing that diagnosis since I was 15 🙈 womb looks fine, although I have lots and lots of follicles, hence the PCOS question. So OHSS might be an issue but will find out more in the consult on Monday. Also the internal scan suggested it tilted backwards while the external one suggested it tilted forwards so... ambidextrous womb maybe?! The woman was a bit...heavy handed with the dildo-cam, so it was more uncomfortable than last time but I liked that she showed me everything. Also she gave me tissue afterwards, which helped! And the clinic itself was nice, although DH said the SA room was worse than the NHS one though. I am absolutely full of cold though, so I was concerned we'd get turned away. But I'm fully vaccinated and the LFTs I've done have been negative so it is just a crappy cold.

@InkyPaper you got tissues?! I'm outraged. Never had a bloody tissue once. Was she Asian? The only heavy handed woman i had was. The others were ok. But I think there's a fair few people there.
God knows about the womb. It can't be both? Mine is the wrong shape if it helps? 😂 DH never mentioned the SA room to me, but we had to do the hospital ones at home. The downstairs bit where that is though (that's where you go for iui also) is really nice. I was shocked when I first went because its nothing like upstairs where to go for scans etc. I was full of cold a few times i went and was terrified they would throw me out. Luckily by the time EC came and they checked my temperature, I was ok. Eeek. Exciting for Monday. So you know which consultant?

@bez91 exactly, wasn't enough, it was very hard to get any, and now we have to do it again, after isolation of course, and when were they going to tell me? but you know we're testing hormones, so women health, not important

I've booked into a hotel because my house is like a bomb hit it. My friend offered me her place to stay a few weeks ago but when I told her this weekend that the building was starting this week she said...nothing. So a hotel it is. What's another few hundred pounds on top of the insane cost of the renovation eh.

@kirky658 it's so damn hard when they go thru spells of screaming for hours and you've tried everything, dont be hard on yourself its hard for anyone to cope in that moment. I think its another part of parenthood that isn't widely enough spoken about in society so it comes as a bit of a shock when it happens and you think you must be doing something wrong. I remember finding myself pacing the livingroom at 3am some times with DS in his buggy (it's a tiny living room but I was desperate) in a desperate attempt to stop the screaming and then heading outside at first daylight at 6am. Taking him out in the pram didn't always stop the screaming but it seems to dilute the intensity for your ears so def get out if you can, don't be afraid that people may stare just go for it and you'll feel much better for it than listening to the screaming indoors which just magnifies everything. Going out for a drive in the car sometimes helped too. I also bought some wireless headphones and would sometimes just put him in his baby carrier and walk about listening to music, he still had the closeness of me when he was in the carrier but with my headphones on it took the edge off the intensity of the screaming and gave me something to focus on. And some times when I felt I'd hit that edge I just put him in his cot walked away and sat had a 5min cry ate some choc then went back thru to him. Its OK to take time out for yourself when you need it, Alice will be safe in her cot. Its bloody hard when you have a crier (and you'll want to stab any smug mums in the eye with a rusty fork that happen to be lucky enough to be blessed with an easy first baby that go on about how their cherub slept thru the night from a day old and never cries........don't worry I know many people who were smug with #1 and karma bit them in the ass with #2 it's down to luck with babies not a reflection of your parenting) but trust me it does pass, you've got this and just come rant to us when you need to we're here for you.

@Vil10 I can't belive they've not even began processing your referral yet 😡 what a seriously shitty week you're having. Go do something to let your hair down and let the steam off at the weekend to cheer yourself up.

What a cock up with the bloods @Franklydear surely they could tell at the time of taking them if that sample was sufficient enough or not 🤦‍♀️ I was going to tell you to go do the same as @vil10 and go have a good weekend but covid will restrict that - take away and chocolate are prescribed instead.

@paintfairy could you pretend you had a massive hangover from a big night the night before and are in no hurry to go through that again so you want to go easy on the drinks that night and will be alternating them with glasses of water, then at least you won't need to drink coke all night. Then anytime someone tries to pressure you into drinking more you can say no I have the real fear after that and my stomach still feels a bit dodgy.
On the baby front tho I think you're going to have to practise not throwing babies out a window 😂😂😂 unfortunately some babies can and will push you to breaking point by screaming for hours on end even when all feeding/changing/comfort boxes are ticked and all medical reasons ruled out, its not fun 🙈 I recommend walking into another room before launching it out the window, you worked too damn hard for that screaming machine to exist 😉😂
Shit on the scan front tho, are you going to just wait or you getting a private one done before then?

@DKDK123 I could possibly pretend I was out the night before, but getting hammered on a Thursday night when I'm at work on the Friday doesn't seem that logical. I suppose I could say it was DHs Xmas do (some places have strange weekday ones) and partners went. I definitely need a straight story in my head though. I've been avoiding caffeine so definitely can't have too many cokes.
I think I'm just going to have to wait for the scan. At least there's no worry if you can't see enough because you went too early and then have to worry and wait anyway. You are right about kids. I was easy. My brother was literally a nightmare. How my mum didn't kill him, I'll never know. Not only was he clingy, mardy, naughty, he was accident prone and almost lived in the hospital. To the point social services even came round. 🤣 He would have been on ebay if he were mine. 🤭 But yeah, it seems that you have to learn a whole load of patience! I think poor @Kirky658 has been thrown in the deep end. On the plus side- if you have a 2nd baby, it'll seem a doddle! 🤷‍♀️ I suppose for a lot of you, you've already got one DD or DS and know what you are letting yourselves in for. The rest of us- i know full well you'll never be able to imagine remotely what its like, or prepare for it, no matter how many people warn you.
