Congratulations @Floslittlebean 💕

I’m 12dpo today and I feel like AF is on its way. Got some dull cramps so expecting that to arrive soon 😩 I’ve had such dry lips and a dry mouth over the weekend too, and I’ve been up since about 3am this morning as I just couldn’t sleep, so we you can imagine, I’m a treat to be around today 😭😂 Here’s hoping for many more BFP’s this week 💕

@SantiagoSister, thank you for your message, I appreciate it more than you can imagine! I feel seen. And also less embarrassed about what I just said.

I truly trust that it will happen for all of us, I just wish we had control over when, so it's less of a stressful journey.

BH1926 · 16/11/2021 15:42

@Danani I totally get what you mean - least you know you can conceive. As horrible as a CP is it gives reassurance that everything's working kinda thing. I had a CP last month and got BFP this month and think it may of helped as I've read it can make you more fertile. Xx

Irishfarmer · 16/11/2021 16:09

@Danani I don't think your deranged, I've had two MC and whilst some women hate hearing this, I took comfort from being told that at least you know you can conceive. Not that I would wish it on anyone, but it did give me hope, especially hearing how they went onto have DC. I think I would have felt the same if I had a CP

beckybabyx · 16/11/2021 16:25

Thanks for your kind words everyone- I think I just had a bit of a wobble this morning. I am very much the kind of person that likes to be in control of everything and when I say I am going to do something, I want it done yesterday- which obviously TTC doesn't work like that haha!

I understand what you mean @Danani my friend had a MC recently and she said she felt a bit better knowing that at least she can fall pregnant in the first place- although so heartbreaking to lose the baby. If someone could tell me don't worry you'll fall pregnant in 1 month, 6 months, 1 years time, whenever.. I'd be like okay that is fine I can stop stressing, but it doesn't work like that unfortunately Sad

@Mummytobe93 yes we are cycle 3 of actively TTC with OPK's but been off the pill since December 2020, so really its coming up to the year mark soon- hoping for a Christmas miracle. Just need to tell myself to RELAX!!! Hopefully the Christmas spirit will help haha!

@Sar1010 I've had Gynae scans through my insurance with work a few months back and everything was fine, so I think after Christmas we will both go the doctors so he can get some tests and I can have a few more. I had a blood test on 8th November too for hormones, as I have an underactive thyroid so want my levels to be bang on, as I've heard TSH should be at a certain level when TTC but I haven't had the results back yet!

madeleine85 · 16/11/2021 16:28

@Irishfarmer Congratulations!!!! Such lovely news. And congrats to all the other positives, what nice little early xmas gifts.

@Danani you are allowed to feel all the emotions that you need over this. It doesn't make you a bad person. I read early on that it takes up to 3 months for your body to normalise after BC (assuming that you were), so maybe that is it. With DD I got pregnant after 4 months without trying, and this time I was expecting it straight away, as we are trying, which hasn't happened. I'm only on cycle 2, but it is really hard to accept the statistics/that bodies don't always do what they are meant to. I'd say keep taking prenatal vitamins/folic acid as that helps, don't use lube that kills swimmers, and although you should try around the 6 day window, don't drive yourself insane (as much as possible). I really think that the stress can cause more issues. When we had DD I didn't think I could get pregnant, I had a big eating disorder which fortunately now is in hand, but had it so long I assumed that I couldn't conceive and was ready to adopt to have children one day. My husband had an op as a child and was told there was a 40% chance of him having kids. Even with that we accidentally made it happen, and I assume it is largely because I was really relaxed and in a happy place. Now that we want it though and i'm stressed it is harder! I am sort of with you on the chemical pregnancy, as I feel some weird guilt asking to get him tested after 6 months if it doesn't happen, so the confirmation that we can do it would be good. I think he thinks that bc we had DD, that means he is totally fine. It is strange because if I had to get tested for fertility it wouldn't bother me, yet I have hesitations asking him to check would make him feel bad if it were negative. Sending all the positive vibes to you for a xmas snow baby xx

Absolutely @beckybabyx 🤞🎄🤰

Decaffe · 16/11/2021 17:13

@Decaffe

Hello! Thanks for the new thread 🎆

Does anyone know the sensitivity of the First Response Rapid test please? I ordered the wrong one off Amazon, I meant to order a FRER 🤦🏼‍♀️

So after yesterday’s mishap, my Amazon FRERs have arrived. All four of them Grin

Currently 9dpo with a 3 hour hold. Is it worth a go or shall I leave it til tomorrow morning?!

(I know the answer really!!)

So wonderful to see so many people getting their second lines FlowersDaffodilCake

Squiff70 · 16/11/2021 17:16

Don't do it @Decaffe! Grin

Sending everyone a huge hug. I think we all need it today.

lottieb92 · 16/11/2021 17:19

@Decaffe I’d wait if you can!! Early bedtime possible at all!? as I would be the exact same 🤣

Im fresh out of wee sticks - and my mind is playing so many tricks on me. Certainly has to be that AF is on the way, but can’t help symptom spot for implantation pain I had it terribly with my first. But 6 years ago so it’s hard to remember exactly.
It’s going to be a loooooong 48hrs for AF to arrive.

Decaffe · 16/11/2021 17:25

I know you’re right @Squiff70 but they are calling me from the drawer haha.

Actually, I’ve just checked and the month I got my chemical I got the second line on 11dpo.

That said, in checking my apps I’ve been reminded of last month - very visible lines on multiple FRERs that were actually indents. The lines were actually visible on the sticks fresh out of the packet, and wetting them made them even more visible. But they weren’t positives! Shock I hope these four are a better batch. Hmm

Decaffe · 16/11/2021 17:29

Something I’ve wondered about FRERs - they say they work accurately 5 days before your period, ok. But how does that work given different luteal phase lengths? Is it really the case that someone with a 15 day luteal phase has to wait until 11dpo for them to work accurately, but someone with a 12 day luteal phase can use them from 8dpo? 🤔

Squiff70 · 16/11/2021 17:32

@decaffe they claim its UP TO six days before your missed period. "Up to" covers them for things like LP! It's like DFS saying UP TO 90% off sofas except the one you want is discounted by 10% Wink

Peonies94 · 16/11/2021 18:08

9DPO really think this month isn’t my month, especially with me getting positive OPKs a few times and not knowing where I stand, but if I go by my clear blue OPK I’m 9 DPO. I have this weird stitch on my left side, anyone had this? Probably not pregnancy related, but I can’t think of another time I’ve had this before! Feels like I’ve done a workout 😂

madeleine85 · 16/11/2021 18:10

@Decaffe did you test already? I wasted 2 packs of FRER last cycle. Trying to not use any this time and will see if AF comes or not before testing/using CB/internet cheap ones. Saying this on DPO 4 though lol. @Squiff70 that is a great reference haha.

Decaffe · 16/11/2021 18:15

I’m on a 4 hr 15 min hold now, so need to decide quickly 😂 #gettingdesperate

OK92 · 16/11/2021 18:18

@Peonies94 I had this briefly earlier! May just have picked up on it as I am hyper aware of any slight twinge in this TWW. 10DPO though and no real symptoms.

Decaffe · 16/11/2021 18:23

This is unused - look at the line!

Not sure how well it photographs but it’s definitely there. This is sooo bad! HmmAngry

madeleine85 · 16/11/2021 18:51

@Decaffe wow! I can 100% see that line. After checking Amazon reviews etc it looks like a lot of people have had issues with FRER. I wish there was a better option than just waiting. Hope your bladder hasn't imploded lol

WorriedD93 · 16/11/2021 19:20

@Decaffe I was reading reviews on eBay and loads of women commenting that they all gave false positives. Absolutely ridiculous! Fake tests! Xxx

WorriedD93 · 16/11/2021 19:21

@Decaffe maybe try buying them from the chemist, then atleast you know they’re genuine. I was going to order last night then read the reviews

Peonies94 · 16/11/2021 19:51

@Decaffe that’s odd, imagine peeing on it, seeing that and getting all excited !

@OK92 that’s weird that you had it too, how many DPO are you? I’ve never heard someone say it’s a symptom and could just be AF symptom but it was odd and I can’t remember ever having it before!

OK92 · 16/11/2021 20:04

@Peonies94 10DPO today. AF due either Thurs or Fri, going to try my hardest to not test now until then. The struggle is real!

Peonies94 · 16/11/2021 20:18

@OK92 it’s so hard convincing yourself not to test isn’t it! Good luck though! I’m hoping to hold off until Friday now, but also told myself all long I’d test at 10DPO, plus I think I’d prefer to see the negative than AF!

@Digby86 sending love! Sorry to hear that! It really depends what you think will have the most impact? Would it be best to know, so you could get help and deal with any issues? Or do you need to work tonight, so finding out tomorrow would be easier? Wishing you the best of luck!
