Hello everyone ✨🎉

I’m starting a November thread after being unsuccessful this month, got some spotting so probably cycle day 1 for me today, with fertile window being in the first week of November.

Please join me if you’re as hopeful about fresh cycle as I am!

My main goal is to DTD more, we definitely didn’t make the most of it in October …
I’m therefore going to be 100% honest with DH that we need to get down to business this cycle.

PS. Hope you like the title 🙈😂😂

@Glago2017 we aren't used to it either 😂 I'm using too tired! The days with hearts are DTD, would have ideally like to have done it a few more times like 22nd and 23rd but just didn't have the time!

Glago2017 · 30/10/2021 13:18

Thanks @maddie2802 hopefully we have both done enough this cycle! 🤞 please let me know how you get on when u test again. X

Help! Opk’s last month my ‘peak’ was only 0.5 on CD10 so ovulation predicted CD11. This also corresponded with static smiley on CD10 clearblue (no flashing smileys so presuming rapid LH surge) but why was my easy@home readings so low? Period came on 15DPO but only lasted 2 days which is short for me.
Now this cycle my LH seems to be going down? I’m soooo confused!! Attached this months readings for you to see x

@BoyMum18 I am knackered, from all the DTD and the being woke up at 2:45am by DD who decided it was morning and she wanted to watch octonauts 😂

Ah I feel you there haha how old is your little girl?

Mummytobe93 · 30/10/2021 13:43

@Coco9910 If I test 3 times a day I test FMU, I know they say to do 2nd MU but I think it mostly applies if you test once a day and that’s the only OPK you take. Sometimes the FMU is more concentrated and the reading might be higher but if you test at other times of the day you should get the idea of how accurate your FMU 😀

@Dobcaty I’m sorry sweet, i hate stress and anxiety and it’s difficult to manage your body reaction to it. I understand how you feel, this year has been hands down the most stressful year in my life.. I try to deal with it by trying not to stress TOO much about things that are out of my control and focus on things I can have impact on. What helps me is definitely a routine, trying to get decent sleep and spending time with people who know what I’m going through, so they can support and also distract me.
What also helps me is avoiding caffeine- I’ve found that it really exaggerates my body’s response to stress which is the last thing I need. Not too mention disrupting my sleep.. By caffeine I mean fizzy drinks, caffeinated tea & coffee. People tend to forget that glass of Pepsi max with dinner is not the best idea is you struggle with stress.

Hi! I am new to tracking ovulation. I am using the premom app to track and it says I have had a peak today (Cycle day 9) is this possible? It seems early to have a peak on day 9 when my cycle lasts about 40 days.

hopefulmumma90 · 30/10/2021 14:47

Hi, quick question I’ve brought some primrose oil and says take 3 tablets a day do people take that much a day?

lemons44 · 30/10/2021 14:55

@beckybabyx I've had months where my peaks have been 0.5 and I never get higher than about 0.8.

This explains it a bit: premom.com/blogs/how-to-use-ovulation-tests/why-are-my-ovulation-test-peaks-low-am-i-not-ovulating

This is part of the reason I started temping... I was so worried I kept getting low OPKs but now I temp and it confirms ovulation which makes me feel better. I've attached a screen shot from my July month where I only got a peak of 0.58 but my temperature showed clear ovulation. Hope this makes you feel better.

Try and test more than once a day though if you can as sometimes peaks come on so quickly and don't last long. I've had morning where i am on 0.2 or similar and then by the evening it's 0.8 then down low the next morning again.

Mummytobe93 · 30/10/2021 15:35

@zxcasd12 do you use OPKs?

@hopefulmumma90 what’s the strength? I’ve had one from Holland and barret and they were 1000mg so I assumed it’s one a day. I’ve got some cheaper ones from Superdrug also 1000mg and it
says one a day.

I use the easy at home ovulation strips. I appreciate any help! 😀

Maddie2802 · 30/10/2021 15:45

@BoyMum18 she's 3, still doesn't sleep through the night but she has never been a good sleeper lol.
I'm guessing you have a DS? From your username 😊

Yeah :) 9 year old step son and my little boy is 3 - never been a good sleeper either!!

hopefulmumma90 · 30/10/2021 15:46

@Mummytobe93 hey I just saw mine are 500mg I must not been looking properly to get the 1000mg

Dobcaty · 30/10/2021 17:25

@Maddie2802 thank you. I never heard of it, I will try asap :) my biggest problem with the moving is this place is on the perfect location from my work - I need to be very close just in case of fire or guest problem (the pub has rooms too- and we don’t have night reception). Being in the town center it's really a gem and hard to find good quality flat/house with garden. It kept us almost a year to find this one- and I don’t want to live above the pub again-no freetime, no privacy!

@Glago2017 thats the advice what I need to remember!! lol I usually have 90 days/5 yrs plan - I know I’m little bit too controlled, but that helped me in the past that I knew where I would like to go

@Coco9910 yes the book! Of course! Lets find Harry Potter again! I love magic and it really switches me off :)

@Mummytobe93 to giving up caffeine was my very first step a couple of years ago. I was a regularly drinker of FULL FAT COKE! Total addict! Since then not had any of those and my coffee intake decreased now for 1! single shot of milky coffee.

Regarding of talking w someone, sadly other then my DH, I have no one to talk about TTC and he has a lot on his plate too and sometimes I feel I really don’t want to put more pressure/stress on him.

But I am so grateful for this community even if its on the virtual world, just reading every one of us life, question, happiness gives me the knowledge I am not alone!

Actually I had a little cried when I read all of your replies and now feeling much much better, thank you! ❤️❤️

Mummytobe93 · 30/10/2021 18:44

Oh bless you @Dobcaty ! Listen, we’ve got this 💪You are so strong and I’m 100% sure that it’s going to happen for you💕 And for all of us ladies! Xx

@Dobcaty I’m so sorry to hear that you have so much going on and are struggling at the moment. I hope you can take some relief in the support from the lovely ladies on this thread!

I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression for a while and ultimately reached a point where it affected my life so much I had to finally accept there was something wrong (having convinced myself for a long time it was just an extended series of “bad days”). I never thought in a million years I would say this, but therapy has been an absolute saviour for me! Having someone unconnected to talk to about absolutely anything, totally honestly and help you figure out how to cope with the sh!t life throws at you has been so good for me. It’s not for everyone, but if you feel it’s something you might be open to I really would explore it. TTC (not to mention everything else you have going on!) can be really tough, and you just need to be gentle with yourself and allow yourself space to express how you’re feeling.

Beyond that, when things get too much for me it really helps if I can get out of that whirr in my own head. For me two things usually help. Either getting into my body instead. I love yoga but when my brain’s on overdrive it’s too easy to go through the motions. So I go for hard cardio - something I can really throw myself into that I have to concentrate on and really push my body. The focus on pushing through that and keeping up doesn’t leave any space to worry about other things and I always feel better after. The other thing is writing down what I’m worrying about. Just whatever’s in your head, Scribble it down and get it all out. It doesn’t have to make any sense or be rational or explain thing properly - just get it out. You can always burn/shred the paper after. But it kind of allows you to process whatever you’re thinking about a bit better than just having it go round and round in your head.

Sorry for long post - just saw yours and wanted to try and help if I possibly can. Above all, be kind to yourself, look after yourself and (hard as it is!) try to remember that in the midst of all the events in your life there is a person (you!) who sometimes just needs to be told that you’re doing your best and that, in the end, everything will be ok. Because I promise it will be!

Squiff70 · 30/10/2021 22:25

Hi all, hope everyone is okay tonight.

I'm on CD9 and still bleeding (started yesterday even through AF stopped on CD4). I have period-like cramps with it too so I have no idea what's going on. It's not the first time this has happened (far from it) and I saw a gynae a few times (different dr each time, frustratingly) and had a hysteroscopy as they thought it was endo. No evidence of endo found - just one small fibroid which is "inconsequential" apparently Hmm. I'll call my GP on Monday. So sick of this and hoping it doesn't affect our chances TTC.

Coco9910 · 30/10/2021 22:55

@Mummytobe93 thank you for the advice! I will start in the morning tomorrow. I’m hoping to start seeing my numbers to up over the next couple of days 🤞🏼

@Dobcaty yes Harry Potter great idea! Please come on this thread and have a chat / rant whenever you need to. Just getting it out somewhere will hopefully lift a bit of the weight off of you 💕

@Squiff70 I hope your doctor can give you some answers and the bleeding stops soon! Our bodies are so complicated aren’t they! Sending lots of love and hope this doesn’t cause you any complications for TTC 💕

beckybabyx · 31/10/2021 01:31

Thanks so much @lemons44 I do feel a lot better after your comment! I was starting to worry 🤣 I do reckon maybe I missed a higher peak on the evening last month so going to test multiple times a day now so fingers crossed xxx

Dobcaty · 31/10/2021 06:45

@Digby86 Thank you so much to taking your time to your answer. Opening up is hard. On one my part really would like to share my feelings, talk it out for an independent stranger but on the other hand I don’t want to be seem weak/emotional. Thinking on therapy some times now, a tragedy from my past haunts me time to time, maybe this is the time to take this step.

@Coco9910 many thanks your offer, I am a regularly reader on different buses, I know I’m not alone on this rollercoaster journey.

Ladies you are so amazing! 💖 Thank you everybody’s advice!
After yesterday, I’m feeling much better this morning, I will deal with everything day by day and I’m going to focus on the everyday positivity. I’m healthy, have a wonderful partner, I love my job (within all aspect) and I’m going to love myself too.

One of my friend always says life puts just enough pressure on you. Never less, never more.
