1 dpo today - anyone with me??

Title says it all really! 1 dpo today and feeling a bit down and tired already! Not looking forward to the next two weeks. Have had three losses in six months this year so getting a bfp is only the first hurdle. Trying to stay positive but for some reason I feel like this month we didn’t have sex enough.

Morning all!

Spotting is still stop start 🤷🏼‍♀️ I do normally get it before af but not normally the colours it's been this cycle! I'm just waiting for af now, it'll be here by tomorrow.

I honestly believe that people can start to feel symptoms straight away. I did with my son and I just knew I was pregnant. And then you have people who have absolutely no symptoms at all and they get a bfp too! There really seems to be no rhyme or reason to it 😂

tink339 · 21/10/2021 12:07

Hey ladies! Have been laid low with a hideous cold - so on the upside, no point to symptom spotting! :) Hope you're all ok? Just remember, it's not over until AF is actually here, so there's always a chance!

@Bell024, I'm so sorry today is hard. I wish I could send you some hugs and Cake. Life's just hard sometimes, but I really hope you can still have a nice birthday and enjoy some pampering! You deserve it!

Here's to some bfps in the days ahead. Baby dust for everyone!! :)

MaybeBabyAli · 21/10/2021 14:41

@tink339 there’s definitely something going around as I’m suffering with a hideous cold as well! I think I caught it from my little niece. Luckily the covid test was negative.

It’s hard wfh with my tests just in the other room. I’m going to try and not to give in and have lots of water so I don’t have a long enough hold to test!

Cruz86 · 21/10/2021 15:07

Well I couldn't resist testing again this morning...

@Cruz86 Congratulations!! No mistaking that for a line! It's so exciting to see the first bfp on the thread! How are you feeling?

@LittleMysSister Thanks so much for your advice. I think he's just going to consult a solicitor this time to make sure he doesn't fuck it up again. Sorry to hear of your pains, but how you described it did make me laugh. I hope you're not still getting stabbed!

@Bell024, I'm sorry, that's really hard. I hope you're managing to have a good birthday despite everything. Definitely make sure you treat yourself to anything and everything. You deserve it! 9dpo means there's still time, but you know your body so I won't go on about that. I will still be rooting for you though.

Omg!! Congrats @Cruz86!!! The first of many on here, hopefully! What DPO are you again? I lose track of days…

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 06:59

Morning ladies! Early start for me today! How are you all doing?

I’ve woken up with a sense AF is on her way, sadly. I just haven’t had the symptoms I’ve experienced previously, nothing definitive enough and not the typical exhaustion that’s been characteristic for me. I could be wrong but it’s feeling unlikely. 😞

MaybeBabyAli · 22/10/2021 07:20

Morning! I had another terrible night sleep and I woke up still feeling rubbish with my cold. At least it is Friday today 😁 As today is the first day Clear Blue says I could take one of the early detection tests (and it’s my only test in the house) I peed on it this morning and I got this. I can’t tell if it’s an indent/evap line or not! I have some FRER arriving today so I might give them a shot.

MaybeBabyAli · 22/10/2021 07:21

Not sure why that other photo jumped off my reel!

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 07:38

@MaybeBabyAli that’s not an indent. It has colour!! Congratulations!

Seems like I may have spoken too soon…

My FRER is pretty faint though (and the control line is in a slightly weird place) so I’m just hoping all is well as my boobs feel less tender today.

@weathervane123 that looks like a great line to me!! It’s still early so I assume it will take a few more days to get even stronger.

I’m not sure I trust my test yet! I just went on Amazon and got a couple of other brands as well as FRER. I won’t tell the hubby until I am 100% sure.

Firsttimetrier · 22/10/2021 08:12

Yay congratulations @weathervane123.

I did a FRER this morning and got a BFN and with AF due in 5 days time, so think I’m out this month. Gutted but will stock up on OPKs and have the knowledge of what to do next time.

Cruz86 · 22/10/2021 08:41

Look at these bfps! Congratulations @weathervane123, such lovely lines!!

@MaybeBabyAli I can definitely see it so can't wait to see another test from you soon!

@Firsttimetrier 5 days before af is still pretty early. There's still time!

I'm still spotting and it's more red than brown/pink so I'm getting very nervous 😔

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 08:48

@MaybeBabyAli I’ll test again on Sunday if AF doesn’t show before then. It really is quite surprising to me as I’m virtually symptomless. Both look a bit stronger in person too. I hope you get your hands on those tests super quick but the CB is looking very positive to me!

@Firsttimetrier Sorry to hear about the bfn. How many dpo are you again? With AF in five days there is definitely still time.

I’m still scratching my head over it. My body has just let me know that I don’t know it as well as I think I do! I’m worried about the lack of symptoms and the reduction in boob tenderness. Just hoping it sticks and I’m not in for a chemical.

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 08:50

@Cruz86 Sorry to hear about the spotting - that’s stressful. My sis bled quite a bit with her last pregnancy and he’s a cheeky 9 month old now! Have you tested again?

FlyOnTheWall89 · 22/10/2021 08:52

@weathervane123 Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Have been lurking on this thread because it is similar to my cycle. Really good to hear of your lack of symptoms and still a positive. I haven't tested and i'm CD30 and no Af yet but I am symptomless rn - I added a few notes to my app mid TWW with tiny little things I thought could be different but equally they could have been very normal bodily changes. No sore boobs at all that is for sure and I never get sore boobs before my period. This seems to be a very common symptom.

Firsttimetrier · 22/10/2021 09:08

@weathervane123 I’m either 9 or 10DPO, so I think there’s still time, but not feeling hopeful. We DTD plenty from CD5 but then exhausted ourselves and life got in the way by the time ovulation hit, so the last time was 3 days before. Also, I’ve had to guesstimate ovulation slightly as I ran out of CB OPKs, so judging from my last flashy smiley and CM.

Cruz86 · 22/10/2021 09:19

I feel the same @weathervane123, no symptoms at all. It's not very reassuring is it 😔 thank you for the reassurance about the bleeding though! I'm waiting for a call from my gp because I spot quite a lot before my period anyway and I'm worried about progesterone levels. Did another test this morning and it was the same as yesterday's.

I really am rooting for you @Firsttimetrier 🤞🏻

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 10:08

@FlyOnTheWall89 welcome! I'm wondering whether my lack of symptoms is down to the fact I've been pregnant four times this year. I wonder if my body hasn't just adjusted in some way. Like it doesn't react as strongly or something. This idea couldn't be less scientific if I tried though! What dpo are you? Do you have especially long cycles? If not, at CD30 you might be okay to try a sensitive test if you want to?

@Firsttimetrier ah, yes, the old did I do enough question. It's so hard isn't it? But like you say, 9-10 dpo is early and you're not out until AF shows. Fingers crossed for you!!

@Cruz86 This morning me and my partner have told ourselves to be pleased. The sun is shining and because I'm pregnant there's a chance this one will work out. I'm in no way reassured it will, but without those little bright spots, I just don't think I could do it. Have you told your partner? When you chat to the GP, it might be useful to push for a progesterone prescription if you don't have one already. They may not agree but my consultant made sure I got suppositories and there's no medical reason (that they've found yet) to suggest I need them, so basically it can't hurt. If you think you're spotting because your progesterone is dipping you can argue that with the GP. How long is your luteal phase normally? If its on the short side (10-11 days or under), I'd mention that and stamp my feet a bit.

Cruz86 · 22/10/2021 10:11

That's a great outlook to have @weathervane123! No symptoms doesn't mean anything either so you have every right to feel positive ☺️

Yes he knows! There's no way I could keep it from him for even 5 minutes haha! Thank you for confirming what I thought re progesterone too. My luteal phase is on the short side so I will absolutely push for something!

Firsttimetrier · 22/10/2021 10:16

Keeping my fingers crossed that you both have sticky little beans @weathervane123 and @Cruz86.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 22/10/2021 10:18

@weathervane123 Thanks for your reply. I have a 31 day cycle on average - is this long? August was 29 days though so it can vary a little, and last month was 32. I might do a sensitive test tomorrow if no AF. I felt pregnant last month and I was completely devastated to get a BFN and then AF which really surprised me. I am not overly emotional as a person and I got myself in quite an anxious pickle. A friend just told me she is 12 weeks - she found out just before her first (private) fertility tests on cycle 7.

If anyone has any fertility acupuncture recommendations in SW London, I would love one.

weathervane123 · 22/10/2021 17:24

@FlyOnTheWall89. I don't think 31 days is considered abnormally long, no. If that's the case, at CD30, you're probably far enough into the implantation window (6-12 days past ovulation) to try a sensitive test. I'm really sorry for your loss. It's terribly hard to pick up and keep going after a knock like that, and it's entirely reasonable to be anxious. I've struggled with it too. Had a bit of a wobble in the supermarket today, just overwhelmed by what might happen either way, and all the plates I have to keep spinning while this journey continues. I made my way straight to the cream cake aisle and picked up an eclair. I figure we all deserve our own version of a big fat chocolate eclair! Keep us posted on the test, and best of luck to you.

I think it’s not looking good for me ladies. Shortly after my faint potentially positive test I started bleeding and it’s been on all day. I’m 5 days early for AF so I’m not sure what’s going on but I doubt it’s good news. If I’m not bleeding in the morning I’ll try another test. I’ll take one of those eclairs please @weathervane123!!!

Cruz86 · 22/10/2021 18:33

Oh I'm really sorry to hear that @MaybeBabyAli. A constant flow?
