Or what had you changed in the weeks leading up to conceiving?

DC is 4 and we conceived first try.

TTC number 2 for a year now and feel I've tried EVERYTHING.

Vitamins, diet, conceive plus, opk's, prayers!

DH has had a sperm count and all is well above average. I had an internal scan and all looks normal apart from a small fibroid. I have been referred to the fertility clinic.

Desperately trying in the meantime though as it could take 6 months to be seen.

You can't really "do" anything.

Taking a vitamin or standing on your head whilst chanting the alphabet backwards isn't going to make any difference.

You need to relax and it will happen when it happens. It's not really in your control and you will stress yourself out more if you are looking for some magic cure.

If you are having fertility investigations then just go to all your appointments for that, follow the advice and keep trying.

Stopped eating peas after I read about it in Grazia.

I also was having reflexology which is not very me as I'm not normally into alternative therapies etc but I thought I'd try it. Who knows if it had any effect, but I reckon setting aside an hour a week to go and have me feet massaged to soothing music while the nice therapist asked me how I was doing probably contributed to me being more relaxed.

Re the peas, again, you can get into a state of mind where you like to think you're trying something. Trying something can make you feel hopeful and more positive.

Good luck OP!

As some pp have already put, I relaxed, forgot about trying to get pregnant and gave myself a break. I was seeing a specialist who gave me very little chance of getting pregnant so I just thought I’d leave myself and our hopes in their hands. Got very drunk over the Christmas period and those elusive blue lines appeared in January when I reluctantly took a test. Bought the cheapest most rubbish pregnancy test ever because I thought it was a waste of money testing (had previously spent a fortune on the digital clearblue ones and they were always negative)!
Wishing you luck OP. Hope it happens for you soon. Flowers

We enjoyed doing the deed for what it was and not just for trying for a baby. We remembered we were a couple that liked doing it together and enjoyed that. Every time I thought of getting pregnant during, I would divert my thoughts to my DH instead and think about him not getting pregnant. I also started focusing on me. I started exercising and getting into healthy eating, cooking myself nourishing meals and following a mostly vegetarian diet. Took a multivitamin, had lots of 'mummy and me' adventures with my eldest and found the good points in having one child for now. And just as I was becoming a smug mum of one enjoying my relationship, child, and life in general DS2 showed up in my womb and that was the end of my blissful existence Grin
