TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join? I'm 8dpo today and was just gearing up for the usual torment of testing and I've come on my period today 😩 Im certain I ovulated on the 14th, had positive ov test and the right cm. I'm absolutely gutted to come on so early. Last two cycles have been 31 days and this one was only 24 😩. TTC is so tough isn't it. Xx

Have followed the thread for a few days - how utterly refreshing to see people being so kick ass supportive of all life events. I'm here for it! So I'd really like to join if that's ok. Complete newbie on the TTC journey. First cycle, 7dpo and counting.

I'm def on the drink til it's pink @amy2503 though like @2020mission says I add sparkling water to my white wine so I actually drink less (though if it's a special occasion that goes out the window!) @Dollybird89 good luck for tomorrow, they would be lucky to have you! Do you have a top that’s anywhere near their uniform colours? I’ve done that before as a little psychological trick, like it makes it easier for them to envisage you working there or something? Don’t know if it actually works or not, I did get the job I did that for but there were selection tests as well as the interview.

Finally getting some good news maybe in the pipeline, got shortlisted for a post at a different trust doing oncology nursing what I've wanted to do since qualifying 5 years ago, interviews next Thursday! Maybe able to leave this unhappy job finally maybe one step away from one less stress factor as it's hard dreading working each and everyday🥺❤️🤞🏻

@kaylsd don't forget the sit down test. I was a bridesmaid this time last year and only realised I couldn't sit down when I was trying to sit in the fecking chair at the front of the ceremony, where of course I was seated right next to the bride and groom facing everyone. I looked out to the crowd in desperation and all I could see was my husband and my friends in the crowd absolutely pissing themselves when they realised my conundrum. I had to sort of hover for most of the ceremony And fingers crossed re the new job!

I've been for baby cuddles with my nearly 3 week old niece today ❤️ my eldest was holding her and my heart melted, she is desperate for a baby brother (or sister) and has no idea we are TTC, she is 14. My other daughter 11 wants a sister lol I so hope I can give them one! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 and soon lol

@amy2503 I'm not a big drinker, but I'm the words of another lady "drink til it's pink" I've had several nights out/meals where I've had the odd drink because if I'd not drank for the last 5 months I'd have not been on half the social nights I have been...

I've been so busy with work and kids etc I've been crap keeping up - think I'm now recovered from our 10 days of DTD, we even managed sat and Sunday 🤣🤣🤣 if I don't get a BFP this month I give up!! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

Ok this has got to be one of the best all rounded embarrassing stories.

1. Back in the fledgling days of my career, I was visiting a vulnerable adult within a care setting. Very serious discussions ensued about this person and their life. The discussion kept being interrupted by a gentleman in the latter stages of dementia (communal area), just wanting to come and touch my head/ hold my hand. All very lovely innocent stuff. The 9th time he went to hold my hand, or so I thought, I reached out my hand without looking and was deposited a warm and very solid feeling item. To my horror it was in fact a massive turd. Obvs keeping professional composure I proceeded to swiftly break the discussion off, go to locate a toilet only to find there wasn't one in sight. Fast forward 10 minutes, wandering about turd still in hand, I eventually located the managers office....along with several other staff members and several senior managers from my own organisation having a meeting. My explanation "I need to get rid of this (turd proffered)". I was thankfully assisted to the toilet after what felt like a lifetime of staring and horrified looks. It was only on retrospect it occurred to me I might have been best clarifying how I come to be in possession of said turd. It certainly occurred to me when I heard from my manager other visitors had complained to the care setting manager they didn't think it acceptable for individuals to be left unobserved given reports of patients (me) walking about carrying pieces of poo....What a way to set a good impression with the top dogs.....

Still here ladies, on my hols. Fertile week has just so happened whilst we're staying with family... 🙄

@amy2503 definitely drink! I didn't for first 12 months of trying to conceive. I have the last 3 months and feel better for it. Also conceived albeit a CP but it really makes no difference - enjoy!

@bez91 I've never been a heavy drinker but stopped drinking completely 3 months ago, thinking that would be my fault if pregnancy wasn't happening. Still isn't happening after stopping and feeling all caught up why I'm doing all of these to try my best to conceive but still nothing happening 😅
Might just be back to how I was doing which was occasionally drinking and at least I'll be able to enjoy those little moments 😌

I've decided to paint away another room of blue doom today which is X's room, seeing as I've moved all the small bits I can from the other house & my knee is hurting, now it's waiting on DH's brothers to help at the weekend with moving big stuff. Still not exchanged. I'm so frustrated. Getting a bit worried. My cousin & her architect fella & my auntie came yesterday & it was interesting to hear his thoughts on our house project. He did say similar to the architect we have engaged & "oooo yeah it doesn't work does it" a lot 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈

@amy2503 no I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you're not hammering it all the time I think you'll be fine! If you get to the year mark and go for tests you could always ask them for advice x

@2020mission Thankyou! We've had a lot of offers of asking price, 1 5k over, but we have back to back viewings again tonight! Oh tell me about it, we've been looking at houses a while now and just nothing is coming up, it's definitely a sellers market at the minute! Hope something comes up for you soon x

So bad news on the house we love, we got told it had been taken off the market, so we posted a letter yesterday to the owners with our number asking them to get in touch, they did, we offered a good offer and they said they just felt like right now isn't the right time for them to move😫 so literally back to square one!! Our house I'm confident will sell next week and we have nothing!! We're both so stressed at the minute and obviously that won't be helping with TTC, we have our date night in Manchester on Sunday with another couple and I'm not even in the mood to go there!!

@Vil10 I'm over the year mark. I'm just not quite ready to go for tests yet. It terrifies me. xx

@amy2503 aaah do it! They take ages to sort out. @paintfairy and I went last July/Aug for our first tests and we've still not started IVF! Plus it could be something really simple to sort out so you'd be dilly dallying for no reason hopefully 🤞

@amy2503 I was the same but I'd really encourage you to go, we're on month 19 now and and OH hasn't even had his SA yet and I had to have repeat bloods on Monday, I just think if I'd have gone at the 12 month mark we could be so much further a long than we are now x
